  • A remarkable woman committed to preserve biodiversity and protect animals, Daphne Sheldrick founded the baby elephant orphanage to face the bloody ivory trade in Kenya. Her foundation has rescued, raised and reintroduce into the wild more than 200 elephants. While the transnational criminals and corruption are destroying biodiversity at a fast rate, Daphne and her team are sending a message of love in action for nature, mother Earth and animals to the world.

The Genius of Daphne Sheldrick with the Master Elephant Whispering of Benjamin have made it possible to have a glimmer of hope for survival of these Elephants. Watch when Benjamin corrects the behaviour of huge wild elephant to protect the drinking water, he can do that because he is respected by the elephant groups, not because he has any gun. They respect him as a leader of the orphan herds because he is fair and kind. Fantastic.

Yes Marshen! We love the way Benjamin interact with wild bulls too and so happy we could capture it on video! All he has is a camera on his shoulder: it shows how we can develop interactions of compassion and communication with nature and animals!

That wild bull though 😁😁. He made me laugh. He knows exactly what he is doing....and Benjamin is such a good disciplinarian. I recently discovered DSWT and i can't get enough of these videos. I'm an animal lover but elephants are my favourite followed closely by giraffes and leopards and cheaters and lions...okay i just love animals. 🥰🥰🥰🥰😍🤩. RIP Daphne. You're one of the best human beings around. You made me believe in humanity. I pray for all the keepers, Angela and the donors. May you'll never lack.

This is true conservation. Saving these traumatised babies, and then gradually reintroducing them back into the bush, where they belong. Their success is then proved by the birth of wild born calves to ex orphans. Just couldn’t get better 😊🐘😊🐘😊

I have watched several hundred DSWT videos here on YOU TUBE, and so far, this is the very best.
A small feature I loved was the colored names of the elephants to show who they were talking about, as in a crowd of ellies, I am not so great at knowing who they are talking about.
And, the masterful way Benjamin masters wild elephants, is amazing.
Luckily, we live in the age of YOU TUBE, so people all around the world can watch, and hopefully will influence some people who might have wanted to buy ivory items, but perhaps will now be satisfied by seeing ivory on living elephants, and purchasing man made ivory substitutes.
    That is called hope.
But seriously, it is so wonderful that all of us humans, all around the world, can enjoy these beautiful, soulful, creatures.
Thanks. Now on to Part 2

I didn’t understand what the bull was doing or how he was wasting water? Since the water hole attracts wild elephants, does it attract other animals such as lions? I like the way the elephant decides when he is ready to leave.

Can I get a little help please? I don't know if I understand what Benjamin is trying to get the wild bull to stop doing.
Is it that the small watering hole is for drinking only and the bull is spraying himself? I'm guessing Benjamin wants him to use the large pond for that maybe?
I have two adopted ellies of my own still at the Nairobi Nursery, I know Benjamin is a hero, so please understand I'm not criticizing him in any way. I'm just a bit confused here. 😊 Thanks in advance. 💜🐘

Hi Mitchcee you got it right on! Benjamin is ordering the bull not to spray as water is scarce, and go to the pond if he needs to cool off! The scene was very impressive as the wild bull must weight 4 or 5 tons! I'm very fond of elephants and Benjamin is a great educator.. Yes Eric! We love the way Benjamin interact with wild bulls too and were so happy we could capture it on video! All he has is a camera on his shoulder: it shows how we can develop interactions of compassion and communication with nature and animals. I know we all have the power to stand up and no longer tolerate this behavior!! If we have to get more forceful to the poachers then lets do so!! Harsh punishments must be implemented! Not even one event of poaching is unexceptable!!! If it takes jail time big fines or even all out war it is well past time for this!! China and Japan should pay hefty consensus for their behavior!!! They don't have any right in Africa anyway!!!!

All snaring, all trapping, all hunting must be prohibited. All poachers and such criminals must be punished by death. No quarter given. This is a war to protect all life, all biodiversity, and ultimately, humankind. The animals must be protected.

The poor mothers, as they are dying not knowing what will become of their babies. I only wish they would remove the tusks before they release the orphans so they will never be a target again.

Gathering No Moss tusks are a great protection for their trunks. An elephant without tusks would have a greater risk of getting wounded in a fight than an elephant with tusks

If some of the biggest animals that live can survive by eating plants then I am sure that humans can, I know I have been an Ethical Vegan for many years now. For humans to survive then they will have to do the same.

Poachers are trying to bust out a final solution to the elephants in Africa and kill them all. It's ahrdcore how many ellies die from poachers.

Nothing makes me more sad than cruelty to animals. Elephants have existed since prehistoric times. They survived for so long, even surviving floods because of their amazing memories which allows them to travel many miles to find water. It’s incredible. They’re incredible. To think that their biggest threat is man is very sad. It’s depressing. So much so that if it does not stop they will probably become extinct. We have the wealthiest people on earth competing to go to Mars and we can’t even save these magnificent creatures. As I get older I tend to hate humans more or more. We all know man is the biggest threat on this planet. I don’t see the point of moving to Mars. Focus on earth. Focus on saving all animals but man is truly evil. Man is greedy. Man does not deserve this wonderful planet that we have been give. If you are religious I think Jesus made a mistake to die for man. Yes there might be some blessed people out there but evil prevails over good and every year it is getting worse.
To those that contribute and support animals I am truly grateful and I wish you all the best in this life or the next. The best gift you can give in life is to give.
Pouching needs to stop. It needs to stop immediately and those that do it killed. Not enough is done to stop it.

@James if you say that Jesus Christ made a mistake of dying for the sake of men, you are wrong just because you do not understand the real teaching of Jesus, the real christianity. When He died at the cross, its a chance for humanity to get saved, meaning, His act of sacrificing does not automatically save the entire human race, His sacrifice is for those few people who acknowledge Him and repented from their wickedness. Because God is aware that even though majority is evil, there are still handful of humans who are trying their very best to be good . If He did not sacrifice, then those even good natured people will go to Hell at the end of times, since no person is pure, and God the Father in Heaven is pure and holy. I am telling you its not automatic as majority of churches claimed. The real path of Christianity is difficult, to live in kindness, compassion, justice, love, honesty, generosity to others, to forgive an enemy, ( martyrdom ) in short to live in righteousness. Meaning to say, only those people who practice those are the only saved people. The Lord Jesus Christ died at the cross to reach out deserving humans of His grace. Salvation is not for everybody. Many are invited to get saved, but few will make it in the end. Many people misinterpreted the scriptures because they wanted to think that they can do whatever they want on this life even if they are wicked/cruel/greedy and yet go to Heaven when they died because God already suffered and died for them. Very convenient idea. That is not the case. A lie from churches of Devil. 95% of churches all over the globe are not from Holy Living God, only 5% are His. Out of countless of humans lived on this earth, only thousands can be with the Lord. By the way, I am not religious. I am just telling you the truth that only very few people are aware of.
