I can't vouch for everyone and i do not know why but unboxing videos are some of my favorite ones to watch be it advent calendars to returned packages.
I was afraid I would love it so much that I would have to go spend $400 on an advent calendar, but I don’t need that many samples or red lipsticks 😂! Thank you for making the sacrifice for us!

I’m shocked they didn’t include any of their popular candy glaze lip glosses.. I agree they could done 1 full size perfume. The best advent calendar I’ve seen has been from Mac they have so many full sizes products for only $200 dollars 💛
I like the fact that you get the lux feel from the brand itself but that alone doesn't make this advent calendar a buy. The lipsticks were for sure overkill & with the many reds, they for sure need more color options. There could have been a full size of each makeup product type that they featured like a full size lipstick, eye liner and mascara. Also I was thinking the same thing before I heard you say they could have included a full size fragrance to make it more worth the money like $400 with taxes is a lot for mostly minis

I feel like advent calendars are definitely just for the surprises and excitement of opening a new item each day. A few I have seen are great value for the cost. It's ok IF you want to just try a lot from the brand, but I think for myself I'd rather spend that amount on a few select products I know I love (or am really excited for) or something I will actually use.

Manny unboxed the Mac advent on his channel and everything was full size. So far that’s the best bang for your buck I’ve seen for this year

Omg I'm so excited! I've recently subscribed to Lauren Mae Beauty a few weeks ago and she's been doing a lot of these.
Dabber sample perfumes are definitely annoying. I'd rather a spray too.
The only Advent calendar I’ve purchased was last year and it was Chantecaille. It was actually really good. Quite a few full sizes and some of their expensive skincare. They really should have come out with another this year, by far the best I’ve seen over the last few holidays!
That would be a fun one to try!
I find that the individual brand calendars aren't the best (unless it's like, tea or chocolate- the Neuhaus calendar is great). I caved and finally bought the Harrods calendar this year, it looks like a nice variety of items I wouldn't normally buy myself, so I'm excited to give everything a try.
I like those tiny makeup removers 😂 (Unless it's even smaller than how it's looking on my screen). Those were perfect when I was traveling for work but I only used it for eye makeup!

@1:12 I find the $20-$100 Advent Calendars are fun from Traders Joes, Target, TJMaxx, Macys, L'occitane, or The Body Shop .. I’ve been hesitant to buy these luxury Advent Calendar ones because it’s mostly sample size.. Maybe if I find one that’s worth it.. I wanted this one but it’s a lot of red lipsticks.. but overall it is fun… TFS ❤
I got a YSL Gloss Stick duo at the Sephora Sale and I am here to say, it’s my most favorite item I bought during the sale!! But, those lured lipsticks aren’t it.
In 2023 I can’t believe we don’t have miniature sprayers when we can get a rocket to the MOON!!! There has to be a way to stop the dabbers…& rollerballs maybe that’s just me. All travel size perfumes should be sprayers IMO.

Way too many lipsticks and not everyone wears red ( I certainly don't) for the price of this and the Dior one I would be expecting a LOT more 😮
Since it is a French brand - French girls are known to wear red lipsticks. That is probably why there are so many red lipsticks. I bought the YSL advent calendar this year - I probably will not buy it next year. I bought Net a Porter advent calendar last year and really enjoyed the different brands. But didn’t like their advent calendar this year.
I think I’d be a little upset if I spent 400 dollars on this one 😂 very fun to watch though :)

As a person that never wears red lipstick, I wouldn’t give YSL $40 for this, let alone $400. That said, if a person loved their perfume AND red lipstick…the value could be there. Just depends on the person. Overall, for me, it’s be a ripoff, lol. But I don’t purchase YSL products in general, to date.
I love reds and their perfumes. Ysl is also known for their signature reds. I'm getting it so there's a market for it. 😂

First time commenter here: the lipsticks were surprisingly diverse colors of red -- YSL has always been famous for their red lipsticks; but the perfumes were a letdown. They could have done minis of their classic perfumes, like original Opium, Rive Gauche, and original Paris (my personal fave), and in the original bottles.
Wow $400 is too steep for me. BTW saw Manny MUA unbox some advent calendars. He got a MAC one. That had mostly full size products no joke for $200

Hey there Leah. I would not buy the advent calendar as I do think it’s a waste of money especially for me because I look like a clown with red lipstick none of them are flattering on me but if they were all different various colors I might think about it even though it’s really not worth the price it is fun. Also on another note did you know that pistachio skin care came out with pistachio biscotti perfume to match their boyfriend body cream? I ordered some it’s 3.3 ounce for $42 let’s see how it smells. If it’s anything like the body cream I’m in
2:21 That does not look like a sample to me it is a lovely color though. I mean the red's were for sure red and all manner of red also. I have seen some advent calendar's where they spent 3k i think it was and the "big item" for day 24 was a Christmas ornament . I would not have spent 400 on this but then again i am not a RUclips personality . I am also very thrifty and i do not buy a lot of makeup being i do not ware it often. Good video.

No, I do not care to purchase this advent calendar. I was unimpressed for myself but I did enjoy watching what you received.
Before starting video and based on comments this would not be an investment for me. I dont really do red lipstick. And i cant remeber a time i was fascinated by any ysl product enough to buy.

Hi Leah 👋🏽 Of all the Advent calendars I've seen, this one is the worst. I'd be mad to get 5 red lipsticks and 2 male fragrance travel sprays. Yeah, the worst, IMO.

It’s 20% off now and I’m still not interested. I would be so disappointed if I spent $400 on this. I’m guessing most people wear bold reds maybe once a year (holidays), if then. I do not understand why brands don’t put more universal neutrals in Advent calendars. If you’re the red lipstick type, chances are you already have a favorite and don’t need five more. All those skincare tiny minis.. and I don’t have anyone to give men’s cologne to! 😂

Idk.. I like the idea of calendars but it just doesnt seem like you get a good return for the money. And skin care.. yea its nice to get to try it out if its something youve been curious about, but the sizes you always get arent enough for you to see any effect of the products. And ... its boringggggggggggggggggggggggg for a full day of a LUXURY advent calendar lol. The full size lip products are cool ..and I LOVE red lipsticks.. but come lol no one need THAT many reds all at once. I would rather be given $400 dollars to go buy what I actually like..or what Ive really been wanting.. not just a bunch of stuff with a high dollar tag thats gonna sit on my vanity lol.
