I really like how well edited this video was. You did a great job at editing your segments for the video bar. Thanks for creating an easy go to for Marvel United X-men
I think he might have confused him with Figment, the Epcot mascot, which is an easy mistake seeing how similar they look. Either that, or he's referencing Lockheed in the New Mutants movie, where he was a plush toy owned by Magik that she could bring to life when using her powers under stress.
@@Love2HateBGreviews He can give himself tokens but I like having a leader with him to set him up to make his damage less slow in terms of charge time. I'd say try using Sunspot some and figuring out ways to charge him up faster. He's crazy fun. I agree with everything you said on Spiral. I actually think she's one of the best characters in Wave 2.
Awesome video! Haven’t gotten my stuff yet but I’m excited to play the new mutants. Fyi warlock is a new mutant in the comics so he’ll got great with magic and mirage I assume. Great stuff! What were yo ur thoughts on shadow king?
Shadow King is a good one for sure. I think a lot of my teams against him were good about either ignoring damage or getting rid of crisis tokens, that and I would make sure to clear off threats that would open up locations that would give cards. He's definitely be in my top half of villains
Great video! It’s so interesting to hear about peoples favorites. Did you back the original marvel united? Would be neat to hear your thoughts on your favorite heroes and villains with that as well.
I did not back season1 when it was on KS, but I did get it with season 2 so I'm just now getting to play a lot of the characters from it. So far I really enjoy Dr Strange but I still have a whole bunch else to try
@@Love2HateBGreviews same, it was overwhelming at first but I love trying all the different combinations. Dr Strange is pretty great, especially his card where we get to see the master plan deck always. Spider-Man is a favorite in my household as well.
I have not received my stuff yet, but I heard one of the developers say Onslaught was one of the tougher villains. Wondering what your thoughts are on him.
Onslaught is tough for sure! I enjoyed playing against him and he's definitely in my top half of villains. If you play with a good team to manage crisis tokens and cancel BAM!s you'll stand a much better chance. Definitely gotta clear off his threats too if you want a chance!
Phoenix is my favourite hero, very unique, i love all the wilds and her Bottom of Deck card is a fun way to finish a villain off. My only gripe is that its not Jean Grey Phoenix.
Thanks Javier! No unfortunately I don't. I didn't back season 1 of Marvel United, but I did go ahead and get it all with X-men united. Unfortunately, I haven't really had a chance to play any of the season 1 stuff because I was so busy trying to play all the X-Men stuff for this video 🤣
Just got all my stuff and excited to check it out, kinda wishing I got Apocalypse over Phoenix 5 since I really wanted Apocalypse himself but wasn't interested in the horsemen really. How is Apocolypse as a hero?
He is super powerful! He made my honorable mentions. He has a starting hand card that makes it so the villain doesn't activate his BAM! if Apocalypse gets knocked out. And the rest of his cards give you a bunch of tokens and extra cards. The draw back is that almost all of his cards have to be flipped over once you use them, so your teammates are getting no use out of his cards.
In a similar boat... wish i got Fantastic Four instead of Phoenix Five. I got everything except for Deadpool and Fantastic Four so it works out as i missed out on the best and worst.
Im surprised Phoenix was not in your top heroes and villains. She can hit a lot of times and explodes every now and then. And thats fun. 😁 Also Dr Doom and Silver Surfer are super fun as heroes.
The thematic experience of the heroes in marvel united Xmen is far superior to season 1 of the game. I hope CMON comes up with an expansion pack that includes starting hands for heroes in season 1.
Yeah I think it was a cool idea to do the starting hand cards (or in the case of Old Man Logan bottom of the deck cards). And all around, I think season 2 is better than 1.
I went (almost) all in on Xmen but dont own any S1 stuff. I was hoping to pick up a second-hand S1 pledge because I love so many of the heroes but the heroes and villains seem way less interesting. I hope they 'patch' S1 with some new cards etc in a future campaign.
Mystique as a Villain is cool, because she's tricky. I like playing against her. She is more fun than, for instance, Sabretooth, who is just very violent. As a hero, she is... meh...
Nope...Phoenix is Rachel Summers from the Days of Future Past timeline who was able to go back in time. She's the first born of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor in that timeline.

Heroes: Banshee Doop Forge Fantomex Kitty Pride + Lockheed Longshot Multiple man Strong guy Warlock Spiral HM Marrow Nightcrawler Magik Mirage Hope Summers Shatterstar Silver Surfer Magneto Dr.Doom Apocalypse Old man Logan I'm not the biggest fan of Old man Logan or Apocalypse but that's more personal but Magneto is just bad. Thanks! Yeah Old man Logan and Apocalypse definitely aren't for everyone. You thought Magneto was bad? I really thought he's the best thing in the core box
@@Love2HateBGreviews core box? Jean Grey probably by a country mile, also Cyclops, Storm and Wolverine. Storm is highly underrated. And I may over-value Wolverine some but he's very good. Magneto is a statistical nightmare. He does have solid punch that has utility to it but he offers up barely anything in terms of team play. I love the model though and play him regularly, but yea he's kinda bad. And I know your not really looking for mathematical synergies per se but Beast has one of the highest synergies in the entire game. Captain America being the only obvious one that's better.
@@aaronst.pierre3080 Interesting because Tom from Dice Tower just ranked Magneto better than 40 I believe and has Storm and Xavier in his Top 10 with Doom at #1. He also had Deadpool at dead last lol.
@@Akihito007 I've played Magneto a bunch now and he's actually bad. We ran the entire game recently on hard mode with Quicksilver - Cyclops - Wolverine. And it was actually so smooth. For some villains like Thanos villain hacks are crucial but otherwise it's clear sailing. But yea Magneto is one of if not the worst by far in the core box. I'm going to try to see how much value Mystique can give but she's quite average. Magneto just needs a ton of support and gives nothing. So hes crippling his team every turn and starving them of operating fuel. Storm I've had mixed opinions on but she's just very strong overall. She can be better with soloists but she's just always good. Professor X is good but I'm not sure he's like top tier good. I like both of those heroes so I don't have many negative thoughts there.
@@aaronst.pierre3080 I believe he's about the weakest in the Core too. Tom Vasel had him as #36 out of all 80 X-men characters from every expansion and stretch goal, one above Jean Grey. He ranked him as A for Fight, C- for Move, D for Heroic and B+ for Special and said he could do some of the best damage in the game. Again just his gaming opinion. Personally I'm going to main Doom or Phoenix because both seem very OP as long as their storyline cards don't get flipped over. Before that, I've enjoyed Adam Warlock, Yondu and Dr. Strange the most from the first season.
I haven't played too much X-men united since this video. I never had season 1 until just getting it all with season 2 so I've been playing a lot of season 1 right now.
The Phoenix Five is not a good idea. Make the villain more and more powerful, with threats more and more dangerous. Not very original. But Hope Summers is fun and very powerful. This is the worse expansion with Deadpool's.
I really like how well edited this video was. You did a great job at editing your segments for the video bar. Thanks for creating an easy go to for Marvel United X-men
Thanks for this! Editing this video was a bit more difficult than our usual video so I really appreciate your comment!
Fun fact: Lockheed is a real alien who just loves hanging out with Kitty Pryde. They met in space while fighting the Brood Queen.
I think he might have confused him with Figment, the Epcot mascot, which is an easy mistake seeing how similar they look. Either that, or he's referencing Lockheed in the New Mutants movie, where he was a plush toy owned by Magik that she could bring to life when using her powers under stress.
Great list of interesting heroes! Especially like your villain choices! Brood Queen is up there with the Sentinels as my favourite villains to battle.
Thank you!
Gambit I think was designed for team versus team to steal tokens from other team.
You're probably right on that. Which means he's not getting his best use unless you're playing team vs team 😕

Yes Phoenix is a lot of fun! It was really hard to narrow it down to 10.
The Fantastic 4 box is just filled with greatness!
Tom Vasel put Rogue in his bottom 10 so, you're not alone there.
Yeah she's just not that great, and she's an awesome character! Really missed opportunity there with her 😕
The Deadpool expansion is... well... bad, I've got to say. But Bob as a villain is a hidden gem inside this trash box. Fun and challenging.
