Such a good nice Draw and write game... of course if you are a fan of Orleans (being in my top 5 all time games) it's an absolute must! Saw this on sale at Target and have plant people in the family. Doesn't look like it's important to know plants to play this game, and resources are fancy! Looks a little complicated but I think I'll give it a shot! Thanks!

We got our copy recently from the KS campaign and I was also wondering what exactly was different or in that extra box because I didn't remember everything that popped up in the campaign. After a rules refresh, played it with the 11yo (who won, solving the case before I was ready to). It's a neat experience and now that we both understand the process, the next game should be a little more smooth. I found it to be a pretty good adaptation of the system into a 2p experience and think I like it a little more than the bigger game. (We always had "reluctant to trade with the other people" issues with that game in larger groups, which meant if we weren't getting any trades, we were kind of locked out of getting the solutions. Not as big a deal w/ 3p.) Appreciate the overview and look forward to your thoughts on this as a couple if Sam gets a chance to play.

Great review! Do you think it's worth spending $100 more to get the deluxe version over a retail copy for the playing experience? (Deluxe version is sold out, and only being sold on eBay)

Fantastic! I've been looking for the simplest games to teach each mechanic to my friends and build up to bigger ones. This is ideal for deck building. Thanks! The principle I've learned is this: Never teach someone more than one new game mechanism in a new game, or they'll get frustrated. Unless they're a dedicated gamer willing to struggle with learning hard games. One new mechanic makes it intresting. More makes it hard and much less fun.

Im a gamer who likes heavy Euros, and am married to a non gamer who at most plays light games with me. I was hesitant to bring Fromage to the table, but my wife saw how excited I was and agreed to play with me. She really enjoyed the game! The teach wasn't too bad (thats usually thr worst for her), and she grasped the concepts quickly. She loved the overall playtime, as we were done within an hour, even with the teach. The simultaneous play really helped, but we played the first 4 turns independently to get the basics of each region. We really felt the time went quickly and it did not overstay its time on the table. I think you may be a little harsh on yhe non-gamer side, and I hope it doesnt scare people away. Definitely give this game a shot, it may surprise you!

As someone who plays only light to medium-weight games, I love Fromage! The simultaneous play, the four different types of mini-games, and the theme make this one of my top games of the year as well. It’s also saved me money as it has taught me not to buy any area control games because I’m terrible in that realm.

I like that you show gameplay during the review, rather than just your heads :)

When you receive a card from the special deck for completing a challenge, does that special card get shuffled in with the story cards for the all subsequent chapters? Or does it go back with the special cards deck?

I backed this one towards the end of the campaign. It looks like such a unique game, I didn’t want to lose to FOMO. Still, it looks fun and the uniqueness definitely gives it its charm.

Ooh... a game with a gadget, and I'm a real sucker for gadgets! Normally I don't buy too many games with a US based theme, simply because I don't know the country or its geography all that well, but that "crash box" - as self inking stamps are called in the printing industry where I live - is a complete game changer. Even if it isn't available in the UK and I have to buy it from the US, this one is a must have for me. Wouldn't it be great if they rethemed this game for the postal services of other countries? Five minutes after typing the above, and I've checked: it *is* available in the UK, and it's dirt cheap too, £11.99 is an absolute steal. Time to place my order I think! As you can tell from what I've already said, I think this video's terrible, the absolute pits! 🤣🤣 Here, have a Thumbs Up.👍 *EDIT: It's ordered!* 😊
