i have always loved jazz, i am doing PhD now , due to lockdown and shit i have sometime to get into new hobby , i want to play saxophone but i am abit scared. Do you think alto saxophone is good for self learner ?

I bought my saxophone 2 years ago and haven’t started learning.. now I’m mad at myself because I see what one year can do lol.. thanks for the motivation to take it out the case and blow the dust off this weekend… time to get to work!
My first sax also spent too much time in it's case. At 66 years old I am now playing at markets etc and am loving it. Yes, time to take this seriously!
