French Onion soup is the Wedding Breakfast soup. Wedding celebrations last all night, and then, everyone goes outside in the morning, to watch the sun coming up and the entire wedding party eats French Onion soup to celebrate the couple's first meal together. Romantic n'est pas?! And it is becoming more common to ask for a 'doggie bag' to take the leftovers home. I hate throwing food away, so I would ask everywhere, and most restaurants not only understand, they have the containers! I love the 'vide grainier'... They are held all over in different villages in France. The vide grainier means 'empty attic'... Ah the Musée d'Orsay is my favorite museum! I love impressionist paintings. I love getting to go on this trip with you, it brings back so many memories!
Well done Laura. I like the way you don't talk too much, and when you do talk you talk quietly. I really appreciate this.
Laura, how fortunate you and Jess are to explore Europe for a month. So much to see (and eat) thank you for sharing the experience.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WONDERFUL TRIP WITH US !!! I loved all the flea markets, the trip to the museum was my meditation for today, the beautiful artwork and sculptures with your always awesome music selections was so relaxing! Looking forward to more, more, more. 😍🎉😁
I could have watched another 45 mins. OMG. the food, the architecture! merci. Merci.merci.
I’m living a dream watching you both, I don’t think I could ever afford this trip but you’re sharing it is just heaven. Thank you.
I've been living in France for 17 years and I never once ate somewhere where they used knife-rests; I'm guessing that's why you see so many of them in fleamarkets, 'cause NOBODY uses them 😁 You plate's your natural knife-rest, like in any other country 😆
🤣 probably!!
Actually DnKillBirdie, I use them every time we have a family dinner, because I also use a cloth tablecloth and napkins, and stains can be hard to remove! I lived in France for 16 years, but now we live in Italy. I still have 3 sets of knife rests, and I'm glad to know I can get them at a marchés aux puces!
It is probably an antique thing. I used to see a lot of them in antique shops here in the USA but noone uses them now. Kind of like the individual salt and pepper shakers
Isn't Paris beautiful. We took a bus tour there for our honeymoon. Loved it.
JESSE HESITATED, FRENCH ONION CHIP DIP LOL, THAT WAS ADORABLE JESSE👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌻
❤TFS! The beauty you are showing us all is beyond simple words💕your talent is appreciated!
I don’t know why you don’t have million followers. Your videos are fantastic! 😊🤗❤️
🥰🥰🥰
👍 I agree totally.
You are unlocking special treasures, from far away places - you are locking in beautiful memories-the key is sharing new experiences together! ENJOY🙂👏💕
Yes the jacks are silverplate knife rests.forget to hit the brocante et vide garnier while in Paris😭😭😭
I would be in thrift heaven doing this. Even getting to see all of these things is amazing.
I truly feel like I’ve been on this adventure with you guys! I cannot imagine all the treasures you had to leave behind and I am a bit envious that you even got to see and touch all that wonderful stuff! Thank you to you and your family for including all of us!!! ♥️
I have absolutely loved watching this Paris trip !! You kids are so fortunate !!
My first trip to England ( where my husband is from and where I live now ) and Paris ( got engaged there ) 30 years ago. Loved Paris, the markets, food, museums, and the architecture. I would love to go back to Paris for our 30th wedding anniversary. We loved going to outdoor cafes and bistros and watch the world go by. Thank you so much for bringing back wonderful memories for me.
I love the idea of gifting as souvenirs, the keys you’re buying or lock and keys. I would love a souvenir like that for special people in your life! Blessings always!
Hmmm, we are getting to like Harry......
🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼 ❤ 🎀 ❤ 🎀 ❤ 🎀
Thank you for the shots of Van Gogh's work and the Art Nouveau pieces!!
Old souls love old things! It‘s like they remember other times. I like how you get in contact with your hands and also if you don’t get it, to me it seems like you say: goodbye😊
What a marvelous trip! My hubby and I took a similar trip 30 years ago and watching yours brings back those memories. Thank you.
My favorite memories are going to Christmas markets and watching them blow your christmas ornaments.
This was wonderful and I can't help but think, how do French women stay so slim with all those yummy desserts everywhere? My sweet tooth was saying, yes please give me all of it! Also, living here in NYC I couldn't help but think, why can't our subways have those doors on the platforms to prevent people from falling or being pushed onto the tracks? I think this last flea market was fantastic and I was so happy you bought the blue ostrich skin handbag because it's so unique and beautiful. I almost thought you didn't but then I clicked back on the video to see you did buy it. The artwork scene in Paris is really great and I saw so many pieces I'd love. One thing is for sure, one would need a big suitcase just for the treasures to be found. And a big wallet! LOL!
Thank you so much Laura for taking us with you on your adventures!! Love it!
That was Fantastic! So wonderful you shared that with us.
Your camera did great, I felt like I was there everything was so clear even in that beautiful museum.
Thank you! ☆♡♡♡♡♡☆
Wonderful for sharing. It will be the only way I see Paris or anywhere in Europe. I am 71and will never be able to go there now so I am seeing it through your eyes. Lovely trip.
Rako is the design on the adorable little sheep 😊
You're on a trip of a lifetime. Such great memories you'll have. And you're not even done yet! Can't wait for your next video.
Laura….I am almost speechless!!!!….apart from your wonderful flea market finds….The Museum was ‘jaw droppingly’ stunning😱!!!……Above all, for me, was the Amazing Polar Bear figure…..’ I fell in love with it immediately’….despite all the other gorgeous exhibits…. That was The One 😍😍…. Thank you for this part of your European journey….See you both in the next destination….But, am most looking forward to Italy (where my great grandfather came from…he was a ‘Cabinet Maker’, and made beautiful furniture)…can hardly wait … Like You!!!..Safe Journeys 🙏. Sue (UK)
hehe, tres Chic, dropping the name of Palm Springs while in Paris. puff puff!
I loved coming along with you! Thanks for sharing.
Laura, I just had the chance to sit down and look at this video. You and Jessi are so fortunate to be in these wonderful places. Your music makes me want to be there. In fact, I was kinda sad that I wasn’t. Beautiful places taken by a beautiful person.

What a fabulous trip! So jealous of your visits to the flea markets and the Musee d'Orsay... LOL. So many great finds. I would be so nervous transport those beautiful ceramics home. Thanks for sharing with us!
I love your videos but have to say Paris is my most favorite of all. Absolutely fascinating!🙏❤🇺🇲
Marvelous tour! I’m thrilled you are getting to see so many wonderful historical places! Bless you both and may God’s Angels watch over you!
I’m loving your video’s.
So much information!
❤️❤️🤗🤗🙏🙏
That was a great video, I sat spellbound from start to finish. I would have cried being in the same room as some of those masterpieces. I think it would be very overwhelming. I love that vase you got so much and the owl lamp would have come home with me too. I'm very much looking forward to the next video. I have friends who did a huge holiday in Germany going to many markets over there. They booked their holiday to coincide with a massive once a year market somewhere over there. They got many amazing items. Thanks for such an enjoyable video.
My favorite art is post impressionistic. 💜 I love Renoir, Matisse, Van Gogh, Monet, and Cezanne are some of my artists. I hope you have a great time in Paris.🗼
These videos are downright addictive!
What wonderful experiences! Thank you soooo very much for posting video from the museum! Amazing art!!! So incredible!! 💗
My dream is to visit France and go to there vintage bizarres and stores besides visiting everything else. Love your videos! 🥰♥️👍
The squirrel is an English horse brass. Used in horse tack...
Love that you got to explore with family and then got to explore with just each other. So sweet! The owl lamp is so crunchy! I love him
Laura I loved your tour of Paris, my dream trip. I am so excited that you mentioned the Bitossi Aldo Trojan horse. My Mom has had the Green drop version that my step bought for her in a shop in Portland Oregan (we lived in Corvallis) around 1972. He never had much cash on him, so it was probally less than $20. My Mom is 86 now and still has that lovely piece.

Your French has improved a lot! I love your ‘Merci beaucoup’! Perfect accent, bravo!
I loved your experience. The Paris Flea Market was fabulous!
Continued joy in sharing your travels! Flea market footage is intriguing; admire your choices! Easy to fall in love with Paris!Looking forward to Italy adventures.
Do it. Fill a container and have at it Laura! 😎
Let’s make this happen 😆🥳 2023!? A whole series on filling up a container then a huge party/market when it arrives back home? 😂 I’m in!
One of the best channels on RUclips ❤
I found you by accident about a month ago and I think I have already watched every video you have posted! Our taste are totally different, but you are such a delight to waste and I lose your commentary. I am a huge fan and I am learning so much. 🤦🏼♀️I forgot to mark my calendar for 1st Friday Sale😢😢. I was so disappointed. I had so much fun watching you and your group on this trip. I wish I could find the video that shows everything you purchased on the trip! One of your newest fans from the Deep South!!
La soupe à l'oignon du petit matin t'aide à dormir après une nuit de fête ! C'est pour cela qu'elle étais servie dans les temps anciens et parfois encore aujourd'hui
I think I would have been trembling, viewing those famous paintings, as well as seeing the famous sites of Paris. You are very fortunate to have had such a great trip. Can't wait to see the rest of your videos of your trip. Thank you for sharing with us.
I liked the Louve. Loved the British National Museum.
I'd put the lion lock and keys on a chain and wear it... voila!
Yes to the lamp. Gorgeous
Thank you so very much, Laura and Jesse, It seems as though I got to visit Paris with you. What a gift.
This makes me want to go back to Paris! Magnofique!
I have a small red bead necklace from a Paris vintage street market; one of my most treasured things. GREAT video! xx
I love your videos! You find such amazing treasures. You influenced me to shop vintage shops and thrift stores with a different notion of what to look for. I already have been collecting pottery and glass bottles, some clear some colored. They are all beautiful.
I have never been to Paris but through you I feel I have been there! Thank you Laura!
Oh how fantastic this leg of your journey was! Those flea markets were pure heaven ,it must have been so hard to walk away from so many things that I saw🤩 and I love your special finds. Thank you so much for sharing this exciting adventure with us💕🙏

Growing up we used to call those butter knive rest’s “smörtaxar” ( butter dash hounds??) and they are very common in Europe and yes; I collect them 🤣😘
Me too! Love them!
Thanks for sharing Paris with us!
I was also just in Europe, end of August-September. My name is Liz, and I was in London when the Queen was shaking hands with the now "out", prime minister Liz. Also visited Spain, Ireland and Portugal. Loved it all! Can't believe the pound is only worth €1.13 compared to our strong dollar. I just discovered a new thrift store in Akron, Ohio...I visited 2x in 2 days. Love all of your videos
What thrift store? I'm not too far from akron
Heaven is a Paris fleamarket.
Ho my God!! Your video is amazing!
Probably I won't be able in my life time to go to Paris.
But I see it through your eyes, the museum ✨️ you really make me cry.

I absolutely love the adventures! The food and the sights and the art. Amazing!
So enjoying your trip! Your photography, music and editing is fantastic!
You showed us that deck and 2 chairs reminded me of your outdoor furniture, any updates with the coating! I can’t wait to see it!! Beautiful life changing trip!! The markets!! Wow
That hand dish!!!!! Love
being half German and half French each of them thought they were the founder of the flea markets but as we know the flea market was originated in Paris and it is the literal translation of the French marche aux puces. the word marche aux puces comes from the sale of all the upholstery they were full of little parasites my grandmother remembers it very well going to the flea market in the 1950 and 60 where you could find gold teeth and chamber pots and the furniture were flea bitten but, if you were lucky you could also find a genuine antique. she traveled many flea's since than but she still thinks about those first ones with much fondness regardless of all those icky things they were there for sale
Ooo, I really love traveling with you and Jesse. Thanks for taking me along.😉🙏🏻💜
At 4:27: The jug says "Town Hall in Münster". Here peace was signed in 1648 after 30 years of European war. Now same building hosted the G7 meeting on Nov 3 and 4 in Münster, Germany.
Love,love,love the owl lamp!!!!
At least one lock for the lock bridge with your true love.
I wish I had known about these markets when I was in Paris!
You are such a delight Laura
I can't wait to see your treasures in your home. The excitement doesn't stop. These tours have been awesome. I loved seeing the art gallery and the classics. Sigh. So beautiful. Thanks Laura and Jesse.
Love all the artwork!
Great to be able to enjoy with you 😍
The French pastries!!!!!! Are everything!!!!,
I was amazed at the quantity of items for sale at the flea market. The owl lamp you purchased was divine ! Thank you for sharing Paris ❤️
Thank you so much for taking us all along the trip as you sightsee, eat and shop. I have always wanted to go to Paris and London and I almost feel like I was there. You are so much fun to watch…..party on!
I’m so lucky my son is a chef!
Your beautiful trip has given me my mind of my diagnosis. Enjoy you so much.
Wow, what a wonderful video; thanks for sharing in such a unique way. I especially loved the furniture in the museum.
