Hey Julian. Really enjoying your channel at the moment. When I first started watching a while ago, I was out of my depth, but thanks to practicing between 3 and 6 hours a day for the last 6 months or so, your content has become far more accessible to me. Thank you for sharing so altruistically!
I notice that you haven't uploaded recently. Will you be uploading another video?
Once again, many thanks!
감사합니다.
Thanks soooo much for another great tutorial..j
U amazing. Teacher....
very nice
When I started writing music some....20 years ago (!), this would have been the kind of composition I'd listen tto, and then subsequently want to give up because of how complex it sounded compared to my little three-chord ditties (they were ALL i-VI-VII progressions).
I never knew the stacked fifth voicing was called the Kenny Barron voicing. It's kind of poetic that I learn that now, right as I'm remaking the first track I ever wrote. Your videos hit a sweet spot in my brain, to the tune of: "Hey, this sounds really cool...wow, I actually understand it!"
The Kenny Barron voicings sounds good! Thanks Julian! I'll sound like a pro with this, hahaha.
Agree. These voicings appear clearly explained in Mark Levine’s book, where perhaps Bradley learned them. They are very effective, though for such a short passage like this, I think Bradley used them too often.
CẢM ƠN BẠN . BÀI CHIA SẺ RẤT HAY . tôi đến từ VIETNAM
Dear sir please
Do a lesson on playing the melody and chords and rhythm with the right hand..❤️❤️
Show👏👏👏❤
Very Thanks. Beautifuk son, Sr
Any change of putting back the video that you removed a few weeks ago ? I really loved that one... 😞
Hello, can you make some videos about jazz chords? Explain it in detail. Thank you
Could you tell me what is the secret for a good dexterity and really relaxed hands
Good explanation. Approachable. The progression works very well. I wonder, though, whether your main instrument is other than the piano: especially the right hand… it’s placed oddly tilted to the right in general, in many instances there are unnecessary jumps with the ring finger to reach some notes that could be more pianistically played with the pinkie; also, sometimes the index sits over the middle finger… and a couple of strange crossings. Anyway, none of that prevented you from creating a very pretty passage. The harmony is what counts here, of course, and it’s very well done.
I love your Falling in Love piece but have not been able to download it. Can you help me? Kitty
Very nice and useful, can I ask what your piano vst is? Thanks
This was such an interesting lesson. Thank you . I signed up to download the sheet music, but I haven't received it to my email. (Yup, I checked Spam).
Julian where is the A# in the Emaj7th ......I hear it when you play..sounds great....
which pianoyou play ?julian.thanks so lot!
the sheet music is NOT downloadable! I have sent 10 emails, but I never got any music sheet!😒
"A stack of fifths in the right hand." Defintely sounds like the Sudnow Method. He'd say, "grab a bunch of notes with the left hand and a bunch of notes in the right hand." Me, I'm left thinking maybe I should stick with horns, where I'm dealing with a single note at a time.
👍👍🥂🎹
5ths galore
i never got the promised sheet music :-((
what is up with your site? i've tried paying for the relative pitch course 3 times and get a "this transaction cannot be processed" error. Your support person hasn't responded to me in a week.
Almost like 7 note mode
Perhaps just a minute on counting out the first line …..I am hopeless at counting …otherwise great video …I
