- The hunt is on to find out which 3 parks will be building a new RMC Raptor! I share 5 parks with you that I predict could open one of the 3 new ones being built! I also share with you when it could happen as well! RMC has built 5 raptor coasters and I am so excited to see them really developing this coaster model and building more! So what parks do you think could build a new RMC raptor and when?
Rocky Mountain Construction first built their Raptor model in 2018, when Wonder Woman opened at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Rail Blazer opened at California's Great America! both of these coasters are amazing and offer one of the most insane & intense roller coaster rides you'll ever experience.
What do you think the future holds with this model?

We asked where it was going.... but they said if they told us, they'd have to kill us :) Thanks for the love!
Definitely something RMC would say.
Same, when we went we saw Fire in the Hole and WCR track before they were announced. We both knew exactly what they were but they couldn't confirm or deny 😂 we also had to not take photo/video of any of the stamps on the track pieces
Every time I hear a manufacturer confirming they're going to be building a new coaster. I try to imagine how/if it will fit in the area where construction has started on at Busch Gardens Tampa. My mind is forever changing on what could/should/will end up going in that location. I wouldn't mind one of these though. It wasn't on my radar until now either. It could even make sense.
Hersheypark opening a Twizzler-themed Raptor makes so much sense.
Kentucky Kingdom is the first park that came to mind for me. They would beat Holiday World and King's Island to the punch and we know T3 will, inevitably, be replaced. If King's Island were to go RMC I feel like it would probably be a steel hyper like a bigger ArieForce One. There's always the odd chance of a one off too like Waldameer or Alabama Adventure, as a Raptor could fit into a potential budget for them.
as someone near alabama adventure i’d love that 😂 don’t see it tho
Holiday world and kings island are both cedar fair parks and after the issues with steel vengeance I dont see cedar fair ever working with RMC again
@@justinjoestar1902 Wow. No Holiday World is absolutely not a Cedar Fair park. It's owned by the Koch family and always has been. They also own Alabama Adventure. No affiliation to Cedar Fair and never has been.
@@DankPeezy oh my bad. I got it confused with worlds of fun, I’ve never been to either park so the world bits get confuzzled. Anyways there’s low chance any cedar fair park gets an rmc with how their relationship is, which is really shitty because cedar fair are the only ones who would actually build an rmc t rex
@@justinjoestar1902 I've watched the issues Fiesta TX & Wonder Woman had (and still has) as the prototype Raptor. Raptors in general are still experiencing more downtime than normal. It amazes me that RMC, or anyone, could think a T Rex will be anything but a whole, new set of problems, issues & downtime. Record breaking statistics & new technology not only doesn't make a great roller coaster, but it almost always means lots of expensive trouble.
I think because Vekoma has partnered with RMC the 2 single rails for Walibi Holland (concept on my channel this monday 😁) will be assembled in the Netherlands. So that would mean that the track shown on the factory tour will be the US single rail.
All RMC track is made in Hayden, IA and shipped worldwide. It's a rather custom process involving tools they've customize for their specific needs. Also, I'm pretty sure Vekoma is no longer the European partner but rather, RP Rides is the European broker.
I definitely can't argue with your logic on any of these. Two of my childhood parks were SFGA in Gurnee and Adventureland. I remember when Dragon was put in and how big a deal it was to finally have a looping coaster in the park so it would be cool to see a Raptor go in that slot. It's really a fantastic spot for a Raptor. That said, part of me is rooting for Six Flags St. Louis to get one but I don't see that happening.
KKY is the #1 choice, they already had plans to get one prior to being bought and T3 is gone, . They have the old T3 plot of land to build the compact model over the drawn out model like Gadv & MM. BGT is also in the running as the plot they cleared after removing Sand Serpent is long and thin, could fit the bigger model of Raptor. BGT is getting a coaster soon. maybe announced late 2023 or early 2024 and opening 2025.
Am I crazy to think that a Jersey Devil layout would fit perfectly in what is left of the old Dragon plot of land at Adventureland?? Feel like they had a number of contracts in the works before selling to Palace.
THIS IS AWESOME! congrats to rmc on these international additions, they ain’t have a good amount of coasters overseas already to be so new!
Great America is my bet, but I could also see Fun Spot.
I can definitely see Fun Spot Orlando getting a raptor and I'm praying for one at SFGAm. I would prefer SFGAm to get a custom layout since half the coasters are clones and the last few coasters have been short. With that said, I'll be happy with a raptor clone since they're so good.
That's great news, very exciting!
I think Kennywood would be a great fit lol, other than the fact that we just got spinvasion it has been a while since our last coaster
one of them are going kyungju world south korea, confirm by today
Has anyone heard any updates regarding the rumored RMC Raptor at the waterpark in South Dakota (I believe it was Wild Water West)? That feels like forever ago but i haven't heard anything. Still would be cool if the idea isn't dead.
I totally agree with you about Lake Compounce. A rafter along that lake shoreline would be really awesome and it would really put six flags on notice in the New England area. Kentucky Kingdom, as I remember also had plans to purchase a raptor, and that fell through so if they turned back around and got back on board with RMC, that would be terrific. six flags. Great America is usually a pioneer in coaster technology for the Six Flags chain, so I’m not sure if a rafter would make sense there, but if they did, it would need to really make heads turn. Great video.
Kentucky kingdom sounds like a good idea for one
🤞🏾Kentucky kingdom. They need a new coaster and a few more flat rides
And an overhaul of their complicated park layout.
All great predictions. I really hope Cedar Fair makes nice with RMC. KI needs an RMC hybrid and a Raptor would be great at any Cedar Fair park. When i heard the news about Walibi park with the dualing raptors i thought thatd be AWESOME for Gemini replacement.
Holiday World imo would be great for one of these in those woods
That would be legit!
A Raptor at Kennywood would be insane!
I think, Canobie Lake Park in Salem NH might be a contender for a Stunt Pilot Clone as they did loose Corkscrew a few years ago. Also, Santa's Village in Jefferson NH might be a contender for a Family Coaster, as this year is the last year for Rudy's Rapid Transit
Great prediction! I love it!
Valleyfair would be perfect. Come on CF- you are committed to the “cedar”- now it’s time to step it up for the fair.
They need to put an rmc at six flags Maryland so bad
Hoping Funland in Rehobeth, DE, surprises everyone by getting one of these out of no where.
I’d be happy if SFOG gets a Raptor. Many of us Georgians have been rooting for one to be added to the park for quite a while
I really hope you're right about Lake Compounce!!! My home park which is a very fun home park btw! They have a great and unique coaster collection. An RMC Raptor would be great for the park! I already think they are better than Six Flags New England
Lake compounce could use another good coaster to make it more of a destination
As for fun spot, I really love their parks, they are really doing an excellent job, especially in Florida both of the parks, I would absolutely love to see any RMC product at either of their parks get installed in the next couple of years and that will definitely bring me and my kids back to visit there Installations. I really enjoy the fun spot parks as they complement a full day at the major parks in the Orlando area, and they really offer a great product, and all of the staff is incredibly friendly and well trained, and I wish them nothing but the best and they have my full support.
I hope it goes to KK, so much closers to me lol and would just beef up that coaster line up even more!
Fun Spot Orlando I agree
The New England park I immediately thought of was Six Flags New England, which has an obvious spot for it. But I'm actually hoping for a Vekoma Super Boomerang to go there now (after they tear out Flashback).
Fun spot Orlando please! Also six flags NE really needs one
I agree!!! Thank you for watching!
My moneys on CP. Tony recently hinted that rmc might do something with corkscrew. (He said this on X”
I'm hoping that SFGAm is getting one soon!
One thing I do know about this is that alongside Mahuka at Walibi Rhone Alps (which is a hot racer but is basically the same thing), two will be going to Walibi Holland. I say two because they will dual.
Canobie Lake Park could use a fourth coaster after ripping out the Canobie Corkscrew, but I think it'll be a while--first they need to expand the waterpark some more, and that's the obvious use for the former Corkscrew plot. The other newly open plot is the former Tall Timber Splash location, but that's smaller--they'd either have to go out into the parking lot, or get creative about intertwining it with the flume. There's undeveloped land they could use around the edges of the park, but that's buffer zone they maintain to keep from antagonizing the neighbors with noise, and going too far into it is pushing it.
I've been saying Fun Spot Orlando will get a Raptor. RMC already built Airie Force One. They also did some retracting on Mine Blower at Kissimmee. Kissimmee already has 4 coasters, while Orlando has 3. Orlando could really draw people leaving Universal to come over and ride the Raptor. I go to Fun Spot Orlando after Universal closes all the time to ride White Lightning and would do so even more if the had a Raptor, too. On another note, please get RMC to retrack all of Mine Blower, Fun Spot! It would become one of the best coasters in Florida!
I don't know. Bgt was the first thing that came to mind. I think sea world bought a bunch of coaster pre-2020. And we are seeing that come to fruition now. You are probably right though.
6 Flags New England should be in the list. They have not gotten a new coaster in ages and need to replace Goliath with something
They could :)
I was thinking Fun Spot Orlando also but I just don't know where they are going to build it. Something is definitely going to have to go
I agree the point you made to replace T3 with an RMC Raptor as Kentucky Kingdom gets an another attempt on building one of them soon.
It makes too much sense hah
I live 3 miles from Fun Spot Orlando. That would be way cool.
Would love it
Kentucky Kingdom is owned by Herschend now. They'll be lucky to get a new thrill coaster by 2040.
Operated by Herschend.
2 Raptors are coming to Walibi Holland.
The parks PR Manager confirmed this.
I’d like to see Manhattan Express (hurts just to say it’s name) get replaced by a large RMC Raptor coaster. Maybe follow it’s same lay out.
The only one here that has a chance of happening is Fun Spot Orlando
Since it’s my home park, I hope you’re right about Kentucky Kingdom
Yeah, and I'm sure Cedar Fair will have no option on that . 😂 I'm pretty sure they push hard for Cedar point if not for Kings Island because they are really growing that park.
Walibi Holland will receive another RMC soon, I'll check the progress tomorrow if they started
I'm calling it right now: Michigan's Adventure
I got 2 ideas. #1 Hershey Park. See I think Hershey park could be getting one because for 3-4 years now they been doing major work, like last year they worked with rmc to make wild cat's revenge that has the world largest underflip and they also have worked together. #2 Six flags America. See I say six flags America because they could make a crazy comeback with that coaster.
Great idea! Love it
@@TP_Recommendations Thanks! :).I just thought of a video I was watching the other day that universal might also have a chance.
Imagine a small/mid sized raptor in the heavily wooded area behind the woodwork/blacksmith area at Knoebels. I feel like Knoebels would be able to afford an off the shelf Raptor model but a custom layout around mature trees would double the cost.
Would love this a Cedar Point..Tear out corkscrew and put this alongside TT2...
Lagoon in Utah I think would be an interesting place for an RMC in the near future.
Should they open next year?
I first thought Kentucky Kingdom but also believe Funspot Orlando makes sense after what Arie Force One did for Funspot Atlanta
i don't think that the two international coasters on RMC's website will be the two at Walibi Holland, because these are both custom layouts and according to RMC's website, only one of the two internationals will have a custom layout.
I think Fun Spot Orlando is most likely with Kentucky Kingdom being the other US option. I think SF Great America goes the capacity route with the B&M Dive. I would take Arashi over Dragon Slayer. From what I hear the spinning on that one is nuts. In terms of Walibi Holland it makes a lot of sense putting the 2 into that park. The park has an interesting design, and they have a lot of paths, and it is almost like each of their coasters has their own particular spot either at the end of those paths or along them. One part of the park seemed to lack something, and I bet that is where the new coasters will go. I think the other raptor will end up in Europe as well. Walibi Belgium really needs a #2 coaster after Kondaa with the Walibi Holland park getting the RMC and the Walibi park in France getting the Intamin single rail, I doubt they will build one in Belgium. I still think the 2nd international one will end up in Europe as well.
If a SF Park is set to get an RMC Raptor and SFGA goes for a B&M Dive, I could say SFOG would get one and will probably be a cloned version of Jersey Devil or Wonder Woman at SFMM.
I do like the idea with a single rail at lake compounce. Although i am a little hesitant about boulder dash, will they RMC it? Or will they get an single rail? There are lots of questions that i have with RMC and Lake conpounce 🤔🤔
Waldameer in Erie PA deserves a RMC Raptor
Very longshot but would like to see this replace tidal twister in the back of the park at Swsd
Fun Spot Orlando pls!!!
I think I would get a fun spot annual pass if your prediction is correct
Can’t wait to ride T4 opening in 2025 at Kentucky Kingdom
I’m thinking summer cause of all of the construction they are doing
I know it’s very unlikely but what if magic springs gets the single rail??? I know that have limited space but they could fit it in somewhere.
I wonder if Valleyfair would add a raptor
How funny would it be if kings island was the park of choice for it..but I think it's heading to chicago..but I just thought ki would be funny to add here
Wouldn’t mind seeing a raptor going into Busch Gardens Tampa instead of the rumored Giga
I knew about this two weeks ago
With Herschend having so many issues with LR at DW I just don’t see them buying this for KK.
I agree funspot orlando is a great option.
Here’s a wildcard though since this park doesn’t have any inversion based coasters. How about Waldameer.
WHAT IS BGT GETTING!? its driving me nuts!
Great America would be nice for a Raptor
I've heard that BGW is getting an RMC in 2025. Perhaps they're getting a Raptor instead of a Hybrid?
HOW COULD YOU FORGET ABOUT THE WATER PARK IN SOUTH DAKOTA
How does jersey Devil compare to other raptors? That’s the only one of them I’ve been on and it was amazing, different experience on devil compared to any other ride I have ridden, and to me looks like devil has its own layount, longer than the other raptors
What about Six Flags Discovery Kingdom? With Californias Great America still unclear could Six Flags add a bigger custom Raptor especially with Railblazers future at risk? They were teasing something maybe waiting for the zoning to get approved before announcing.
It’s possible that RailBlazer might get sent to SFGAm
@@Cat3465 Six Flags would have to purchase it from Cedar Fair.
How ya feeling about that new coaster coming to Sea World that was announced today?
I'd be willing to bet one of the Funspots is getting one. Probably Atlanta to go alone with their RMC. Not really sure where Orlando would fit the coaster. That park is pretty packed and at a loss for space. Unless there's an area That I can't see. Kissimmee is definitely a no.
I’m just wondering if you got it right in a park in Iowa, but the wrong park? What if Lost Island beats everyone to the punch and gets the first single rail in the Midwest? It’s already the best themed amusement park in the Midwest IMO. If they get a great single rail and a good advertising campaign going on they could really start to turn some heads!
Perhaps Lost Island in IA!
More parks that could get the next Raptor:
Rye Playland (to replace Super Flight)
Wild Adventures
Magic Springs
A boardwalk
Lagoon
I was thinking to myself wouldn’t it be awesome if rye playland pulled the trigger on one of these!? I don’t know if they actually would do it but my god that would be amazing having a raptor 30 minutes away.
Walibi Holland is getting 2!!
Kentucky Kingdom please.
Walibi Holland are getting 2, 1 family and 1 thriller
Does Six flags over texas have the budget? their 2024 ride is the two log flumes conbined. one of them has been closed for 10 years.
It’s unlikely but I could see SFOG get it sooner than SFOT since they like their second original park instead of the true OG park I believe
💯 I agree with the fun spot prediction- as scary as that is. I just don’t trust them for some reason.
Hot take. Busch Gardens.
Honestly- I'd think the Wild Water West? (Forget the name) South Dakota Water Park is where one will go fairly soon. Was never shelved, but delayed for more RV camping or something like that. I sent the management an email the day I found out...he said the "thoosie" response was overwhelming and positive...and that was like two days after the announcement
Great america hopefully. Fiesta, great adv, magic mt already have one
While SFGA may be the next park of an RMC Raptor, I would imagine SF adding another one to SFOG at the same time since that park has been getting a lot of investments recently
the only one i can feasibly see happening is fun spot orlando, off chance of adventureland
I see great America as they have a few at the parks now and they are removing buccaneer battle and clearing land so big possibility
Michigan's Adventure? Bwahahaha!
I like any of the Palace Ent. Parks. Since I'm closest to Kennywood, I'd like to see one there. After all they've been conditioning the pubic with slow throughput with Steel Curtain, so that shouldn't be a big deal.
I still don't think Herschend has any motivation to devlope the dry park at Kentucky Kingdom. I think the goal there is to make it the Alabama Adventure of the north (well sort of north). That is to maintain a good value regional waterpark with some dry park rides to occupy a few hours out of the day. I don't think the want to compete with Holiday World or Kings Island, just want to provide a profitable little park for the Lousville and Lexington areas.
as someone with kentucky kingdom being their homepark, this makes me sad
@@kingstyn so sorry, not my intention to make you sad
if it makes you feel better, I’m just trying not to get my hopes and expectations too high
Is the South Dakota raptor still happening?
If a RMC Raptor comes to great america they should theme it to Michael jordan and call it flight 23
Unless Great America removes something, there’s absolutely no room for another coaster, so the raptor is really the only possibility if they’re going to squeeze something in without removing something significant. That said, I find it interesting that Great America is about to get the Giga Discovery yet it will not be themed for Wonder Woman, like it is at other SF parks. That has me hoping we might get the WW themed raptor in 2025. 😀
2025 will be their year :)
demon is also allegedly on the chopping block for the next year.
They could do something different with a compact layout
Is it just me or was wonderwoman at magic mountain very rough? Rode it last year once and never again.
I’ve never been on it yet but it could
