I lost my jack Russell Oddy last year. I had him from when I was 6 years old. He was my best friend, I used to read him stories, he would sleep in my bed, we took him to dog shows and he would always do his best despite being clumsy. We went on so many adventures together. He was the sweetest little man and it breaks my heart hes not around anymore. When I miss him lots I watch these kind of videos
So sad love Jack Russells just last one due to old age , 3 years ago I lost another due to stupid neighbour putting rat poison down so sad I will never get over that , I have another one now rescued him from gypsies where he had a terrible life ,with me now got a great life. Seeing these JRT’s brings back a lot of fond memories and some very sad ones too. I got a little male JRT around 2000 when he was just weaned. He was such a good dog. I took him everywhere with me. He didn’t like anyone that approached my/his truck but as soon as I let him out he wouldn’t pay any attention to them. He always wanted to sleep under the covers right next to me and sometimes between my legs. Around the time that he turned 16 years old he started having seizures. The vet gave me medication to stop them quickly when he had one but they kept getting worse so I finally had to put him to sleep. I held him in my arms when they put him to sleep while crying like a baby. He was the best dog I’ve ever had.
I had a set of Jack's. Girl and boy born on the 4th of July. She lived 13 years and he for 16 yrs. They were the most entertaining and at times biggest pains in the a__. Very sensitive,loyal, beautiful and loving dogs I ever had. I miss them more than I can say. Their buried together in my back yard and I think about them nearly every day. 😘I love you Itchy and Scratchy, thanks for being in my life😘

I lost my jack russell terrier on Tuesday morning, I really miss him cuddling next to me, his vibrant energy, giving me kisses, giving me puppy eyes to pet and spoil him. It was a good 15 years I spent with him and him with me. Watching these videos help make me smile, I miss my fur baby so much. Down the road, I would want another jack russell terrier. I love their energetic personalities.
I lost one too he's name was bakou, I lost him because he died he was so afraid to a big stray dog and then I lost him. He was still a kid I got him back in 2021 or January I lost him in July, I got he's brother Rudy I hope bakou is resting very well :(
They are the best little dogs! One of my sister's had a Jack Russell named Petie, he was ,like all terrier, stubborn but fiercely loyal, loving and playful. One time when I was visiting she had set up the living room full of balloons and let him loose, it was so much fun to watch him pop them all! He was always so friendly, the moment I walked in the door he would bring me his favorite toy, playtime! He is sadly missed.
Got my Jack Russel in 2006 after I just turned 12. Me and my sister named him Jack. Still alive today, only dog my household has ever had. He's pushing 13-14. Finally showing his age. He is still so happy, never has changed. He's still Jack. I regret ever taking him for granted. Because he is still here and it's now becoming real that he won't be with in the next year or so. Now at 24, I can honestly say. These little dogs have nothing but love and loyalty to offer. Best dog for a kid to ever grow up with.

I tried adopting a JRT recently. They're a little overboard about having one if you live in an apt. Also they're discriminating against anyone over 50. So many need homes and I treat my pets like family. Its not fair at all.
Had 3 Jacks, my Jack Pack, the mom, 2 of her pups, different litters. We would go on long hikes up in the Utah mountains. They gave a meaning to my hikes. All 3 are now buried side by side in the back yard where they grew up. Miss Whittles, Marilyn and TaeBae. I don't even hike anymore now, just not the same. Bye girls, miss you all, the times we had up there. Jack Russell's a very good breed, so animated, lots of character.

Thank you so much for this compilation. Yes indeed it put a smile on my face. The one dog stalking the birds reminds me of my dog. She will sit for hours if I let her watching the squirrels. I have only heard her bark twice but she whimpers on the way to the dog park and I love watching the dogs interact with one another. Have eleven year old Parson's Russell and a one year old Miniature Jack both gotten as pups from shelters. The "Dynamic Duo" my days are filled with joy from these two. Easily trained, but strong willed.

The last dog is a Rat Terrier. That is how they vocalize, and they have the more slender pawns with the pointy nails. I’ve had two Jacks, and have a Rattie now. They are all the best dogs ever. The best earthlings ever.
I really miss my old boy :( , he had a good innings though- we had him from the size of a small sausage to 17! if only when they eventually pass it wasn't such a heart wrench, we would have another in a heartbeat; you just don't want to feel that you have pushed them (the memory) out.
No need to feel that you have pushed them out by getting another dog . They will always own a piece of your heart for that time of your life that you had each other`s company. My hound, Henry passed away in 2016, and a day does not go by that I don't think of him. Just a few days after he passed, I got a rescue Jack Russell, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself while giving a needy dog a new forever home.
Jimmy M ......This is true. I have to commend you for rescuing a Jack. I rescued my Jack from my son and daughter-in-law. She was bipolar and kept bringing animals home. He knew they had to give some away, and the Jack was a handful. He knew I dearly loved that little fur ball! So I got her when she was a little over a year old. She’s going to be 13 this April. Time has gone too fast. She is the first dog that I’ve ever let sleep in my bed. I have a bed for her in every room of the house, as she follows me everywhere. And she has fuzzy blankets on each sofa to curl up in. I LOVE that sweet, rambunctious little thing soooo much! She has her favorite toys and loves having them thrown for her. Jacks love interaction with their owners. They are very high energy. This is what most people don’t realize and they aren’t ready for, as to why so many of them are given up. Sad. They are also exceptional escape artists.....you really have to make sure you have very tall fencing and that they can’t dig under it either. When I first got her, she was only about 10 pounds (she was the runt of the litter.....she only weighs 11.7 now). But she still managed to jump to the top of our 6-foot block wall! I had to dig more dirt away to keep her from doing that again. I was amazed at her ability to jump so high for such a tiny dog!
So true our jack died at 14 he passed away I his basket next to the fireplace. I'm a guy 64 yet wept like a baby. Still missing him after 14 months...feel guilty getting a other puppy
Oh no Erin, I am so sorry to hear that. How old was your dog. We had a J/R called Dallas and she died on Sept 1st, 2016. She was 13 years old. It was o sudden. It is not a year yet and my heart is still hurting. We miss her every day. She was my little girl. Oh Erin, will you get an other dog. We have been thinking about getting a other one, but I am 67 years old. I don't know who will go first. Is it fair to a dog. What do you think. You will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight. Oooof they ARE a handful! I have a Jack chihuahua mix & he’s a very sassy little boy, always fussin at me & his big brother. that’s a cute idea w the balloons, my last Jack LOVED to pop her some balloons. My chihuahua does that dog dig dig w his paws on the comforter.

Thank you for your kind words. Why didn't you get another JR right after. That is what I have to decide. I am 67 years old. I am afraid of who will go first. I couldn't take that loss again. It was more painful than losing my younger sister suddenly then my mother and other family members and dear friends.. And if it me....who will look after her ??? It is so hard to know what is the right thing to do. I am a healthy and young at heart person....so I don't think my time time will come soon. I don't want either one of us t get hurt. Jacqueline Stankiewicz for us, there were a couple reasons. One we just had our second boy. Also the time just didn't feel right, and we wanted to find the right one. The opportunity came around for the new one and it just felt right. I think you will know when it's right. Always set up something to make sure the dog is cared for if something awful were to happen. Pets are wonderful just have a short life. Touch you close and leave soon. We look more at the happy times. One of the reason we are now making videos of the things we do with our boys and animals. It's always there now.

We will go and see them and if one of them is meant for us.....we will know right away. You are right....there are no guarantees in life. I saw a bit of my Jack in every one of them except for the guy running up and down the stairs. My Jack doesn't retrieve,he plays come and get me if you want it. Best friend ever.
The wolf in him is strong. Way too much energy to burn, way too little time. Fun seeking and Food motivated. His hunting instinct is off the chart. Destructive when bored. Not an apartment dog, must run around all day to be happy. Absolutely fearless. Looks like a toy, acts like a Boss. Not much patience with small children; don’t leave them together alone. Incredibly loyal. Cute as a button and easy to love. Fast learner - curious and intelligent. Doesn’t get along with other pets, if not socialized from an early age. Follows you everywhere; sticks like a glue. Prone to serious separation anxiety. Loves to dig like it’s going out of style. Any little opening and it’s outta there; an escape artist off the leash. Don’t let it see a fox or a rodent. A professional ball player.

Have eleven year old Parson's Russell and a one year old Miniature Jack both gotten as pups from shelters. The "Dynamic Duo" my days are filled with joy from these two. Easily trained, but strong willed.

The last dog is a Rat Terrier. That is how they vocalize, and they have the more slender pawns with the pointy nails. I’ve had two Jacks, and have a Rattie now. They are all the best dogs ever. The best earthlings ever.

I really miss my old boy :( , he had a good innings though- we had him from the size of a small sausage to 17! if only when they eventually pass it wasn't such a heart wrench, we would have another in a heartbeat; you just don't want to feel that you have pushed them (the memory) out.
No need to feel that you have pushed them out by getting another dog . They will always own a piece of your heart for that time of your life that you had each other`s company. My hound, Henry passed away in 2016, and a day does not go by that I don't think of him. Just a few days after he passed, I got a rescue Jack Russell, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself while giving a needy dog a new forever home.
Jimmy M ......This is true. I have to commend you for rescuing a Jack. I rescued my Jack from my son and daughter-in-law. She was bipolar and kept bringing animals home. He knew they had to give some away, and the Jack was a handful. He knew I dearly loved that little fur ball! So I got her when she was a little over a year old. She’s going to be 13 this April. Time has gone too fast.
She is the first dog that I’ve ever let sleep in my bed. I have a bed for her in every room of the house, as she follows me everywhere. And she has fuzzy blankets on each sofa to curl up in. I LOVE that sweet, rambunctious little thing soooo much!
She has her favorite toys and loves having them thrown for her. Jacks love interaction with their owners. They are very high energy. This is what most people don’t realize and they aren’t ready for, as to why so many of them are given up. Sad. They are also exceptional escape artists.....you really have to make sure you have very tall fencing and that they can’t dig under it either.
When I first got her, she was only about 10 pounds (she was the runt of the litter.....she only weighs 11.7 now). But she still managed to jump to the top of our 6-foot block wall! I had to dig more dirt away to keep her from doing that again. I was amazed at her ability to jump so high for such a tiny dog!
So true our jack died at 14 he passed away I his basket next to the fireplace. I'm a guy 64 yet wept like a baby. Still missing him after 14 months...feel guilty getting a other puppy

Oh no Erin, I am so sorry to hear that. How old was your dog. We had a J/R called Dallas and she died on Sept 1st, 2016. She was 13 years old. It was o sudden. It is not a year yet and my heart is still hurting. We miss her every day. She was my little girl. Oh Erin, will you get an other dog. We have been thinking about getting a other one, but I am 67 years old. I don't know who will go first. Is it fair to a dog. What do you think. You will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight. Thank you for your kind words. Why didn't you get another JR right after. That is what I have to decide. I am 67 years old. I am afraid of who will go first. I couldn't take that loss again. It was more painful than losing my younger sister suddenly then my mother and other family members and dear friends.. And if it me....who will look after her ??? It is so hard to know what is the right thing to do. I am a healthy and young at heart person....so I don't think my time time will come soon. I don't want either one of us t get hurt. I hope you understand my situation. May I ask your advice? Thank you so much.

Jacqueline Stankiewicz for us, there were a couple reasons. One we just had our second boy. Also the time just didn't feel right, and we wanted to find the right one. The opportunity came around for the new one and it just felt right. I think you will know when it's right. Always set up something to make sure the dog is cared for if something awful were to happen. Pets are wonderful just have a short life. Touch you close and leave soon. We look more at the happy times. One of the reason we are now making videos of the things we do with our boys and animals. It's always there now.

We will go and see them and if one of them is meant for us.....we will know right away. You are right....there are no guarantees in life. I need another little JR to love. we have two grown sons with a family of their own. I miss them running around the house. my husband and I are not meant to be alone...!?!?. So we will se what happens in. a few weeks.

I saw a bit of my Jack in every one of them except for the guy running up and down the stairs. My Jack doesn't retrieve,he plays come and get me if you want it. Best friend ever.
