You made me feel so jealous of you in just 7 and half minutes. I am a student, inspired to become a major in Artificial Intelligence and work at my dream company Google. Your videos help a lot, you may not know the magnitude of your reach to audience such as me. love you and your content :)
Thank you so much - I really appreciate those kind words (-:
Major in Computer Science instead of Artificial intelligence
@@BillyRyan123 Thank you for your advice, I've heard many people say that and even give me the same advice. But I never got a good reason. I would be grateful if you could do that for me.
@@aahladkarthikkhandrika3475 Well Computer Science teaches you everything you need to know about computing and how to make future technologies. Which means Computer Science will build you up on everything you need to know about computers and IT and basically everything. Artificial Intelligence is a sub branch course under a masters level program called Machine Learning. Also, Computer Science will teach you a bit about AI but it is just the basics so that incase you want to specialise in the Masters level of Machine learning then you can proceed to AI which u know already from the basics of Computer science.
Great journey! C, C++ still the only path to operating systems, runtimes, compilers and embedded.
Loved this. Thank you for sharing
No problem!
Such an inspiration for those getting into this field. I'm doing my undergrad in a non-CS degree but in my free time, all I'm doing is coding and watching coding-related videos. Hope it gets me somewhere lol - fingers crossed!
Thanks so much!! You’ve got this!
Great video! I studied abroad in Sweden too. Fika was amazing !!
Was great how you added in the program you used!
Such a good video! Keep it up!
Thanks Jason!
Super amazing video!
Thanks so much!
loved it🖤
Glad to hear 😀
Hey I loved your video! What advice can you give out to someone who is learning how to code 👩🏾💻 and how can you motivate them to keep on pushing? I’ve really been interested in the software engineering field but feel that I’m not qualified for it…
I would say practice a little bit each day! Even if it’s just watching a tutorial, or writing a conditional. Picking a language and incrementally learning from a structured course is really important!
Yes! I love this video 9 minutes.. You're schooling + internship+ career.. I think many people need to know there's no free pass into Web Developer world... Wow in 9 minutes..or 9 years.. Thank You
No problem - glad you liked it 😀
Nice video!
Thanks Michael!
I took a very similar path to you, also got my undergrad in Biomedical Engineering, took some coding classes, used python for my undergrad research, and this month I just got hired as a programmer! Hoping to go for my Masters in Comp Sci next :)
That’s great to hear! Congrats!
Wow! What an exciting journey of growth...keep it up!
Is it a good idea to start coding and look of development job at the age of 27? is it attainable goal?
You are really underated
Thanks 🥺🥺
Weird question - what programming courses do you think would be useful for biomedical engineering students? I'm particularly interested in simulation, so I know numerical analysis is going to be important. Other than that, I have no idea what other programming courses will help me
Ooh good question - I’d look into what software is used in medical devices and/or medical software (Epic is a great company to look into if you want to explore the types of languages their teams use). But understanding the standard Python or JavaScript should be good if you want to apply those skills in the bio-med industry and jump to another language.
Have you also ever looked into languages that are used for bio-informatics?
I haven't enough hold to figure out the difference between an undergraduate in CS and the one in SE. Being watching your videos or what all I know,I won't go for an UG programme in CS,as I see others doing so. How do you think?
By the way,I have fun to watch you!
It totally depends on your situation - if you have the time/money to get a BS in CS, go for it. If you need to get a job quickly and learn more practical skills, try going to self taught or boot camp route!
Thanks for the lovely videos and they are inspiring. Just a question to ask. I'm new to learning programming "Python", but I realize maths is a must know.
Can you please tell me which maths topics should I know to become a good programmer..?
I’ve more so used math as a base to problem solve rather than directly apply it to programming (discrete math, linear algebra, differential equations etc) are really god to know!
@@PoojaDutt thank you for the info and advice..
Does leetcode actually help you learn about those more complex algos?
It helps you implement the concepts you learned (not necessarily learn the concept itself)
Wow good job
Thank you!!
Hello mam, how are you?
I really like your video a lot. it will be helpful if you make a video on "Which laptop is best for students".
As I'm also an Engineering student, which one is good to buy. I've also some questions like if MacBook is recommended then, is all tools are free to do coding and other work? Though Macbook is good enough, is it suitable for students (I mean the economic condition, as I've heard that most of the tools need to purchase in MacBook)? Which coding tools are not accessible? if you answer then it will also help.😊😊
Any laptop works honestly, it’s just a matter of learning how to use OS specific tools. It’s all learn-able! I used to use a MacBook, and now I have a surface book (windows)
That's good 🎉🎉
Thank you!
Hi pooja, if you Gave to go The self taugh router, how would you do it ?
Love from Portugal 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
It's all about consistence and putting afford to your dreams
Absolutely! 😊
Hi 👋👀 greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thanks for watching!
How did you even know that you were ready to handle internships? I fear that if I do get an internship I legit won't know how to do ANYTHING bc it's just too advanced and I haven't learned it yet or done anything like that.
The point of the internship is to learn/fail (-: I wasn’t ready for internships (no one ever is), until you go through one!
Is it like mandatory to know JAVA in order to land a decently paying job?
I am more comfortable in C++ and find myself hard to shift to JAVA
No! You don’t need to know Java - C++ is okay because it teaches you the Concetta basics. You can eventually transfer these skills to another OOP language
@@PoojaDutt Okay,Thanks!
Great video btw!!
😍
This is cool
Thanks!
Good luck
I want your hair tutorial 😤
Pooja: no one actually uses c++ in the industry
also us game developers: *cries*
but seriously i LOVE you and your content :)
Please teach us web devolopment languages
Hopefully soon! There are a lot of great courses out there on web development (-:
welp I was happy when I was able to do Hello World
That’s more than enough to start 😀
Please
You make data structures tutorial for usus
Hopefully one day!
@@PoojaDutt
Best of luck
Bro use a book. I used ‘Data Abstraction & Problem Solving with C++’ if you can’t learn it from this book just quit.
My ambition is to be a software engineer
You can do it!!!
Thinking about my life and how it would go
I am still young though
Ahh if you’re young, you have time 🙂 life is a journey
@@PoojaDutt Thank you 😊
"No one uses C++ in the industry"
LMFAO!
May be it's allready the time to start learning Life not Frameworks:)
Maybe 🤷🏽♀️
Happy rakshabandhan pooja 🤗🤩 be lated😂Hope you are great🙂
Thanks so much!!
@@PoojaDutt i have started applying to universities . Hope get in and get a chance to meet you someday😃
You can share what you are going to do next 10 years.
True (-:
tech youtubers 06:40 😩
Microsoft will fire a lot of people in 2023, will you get a new company or not??
9 years of Hard Learn and Work... and you have done Nothing for Yourself!
🥸
Nobody uses C++ in the industry.. Very Funny)
Kinda surprised you feel like learning C++ was useless. It can just grow your love for the garbage collector, isn't worth it? 😂 Anyhow this is certainly not a dead language in the industry, but it widely depends what you are building.
Sure, it totally can! But if you’re trying to break into the industry, it’s not necessary to learn C (I had referred to C not being as useful) to land a job (unless you are doing it for the sake of learning or interviewing for a role that uses it). C isn’t as prominent as Kotlin, Python, Java, and JavaScript/Typescript
@@PoojaDutt Oh my bad! Though you were talking about C++ the whole time. Someday in the most unexpected way it might be useful (who knows 🙃).
By the way great editing! I wish you all the best
@@bendotcodes definitely, it may be useful one day! 😀
DSA on steroids 🤭.
Haha totally
By the way I have some fundamental questions. How do I know I am on a sinking boat? I work for a start up and especially I work as a front end web developer. I am working majorly on ReactJS, and React Native based on requirements.
My educational background is, I am a mechanical engineer by degree. I learnt JavaScript, then entered IT.
Here in future I may face two problems,
1. Lack of CS fundamentals
2. Difficulty to switch to get good pay.
How should I move or tackle both these problems?
Also, How will I know the tech I'm currently working is obsolete or futuristic?
@@kamathnagendra I think it’s dependent on if you’re being challenged right now. Do you feel like you’re growing as a developer working on ReactJS? It’s a typical industry standard to use this. Are you also exploring the use of typescript and/or node.js for backend?
Once you spend some time learning and growing, it’s a great idea to join a bigger company to gain more knowledge!
In terms of futuristic tech, you’ll have to find a great mentor and also do research online to stay up to date with the latest tech (in any job) versus relying on the company to choose those things for you 😀
@@PoojaDutt Yes, on that part I am exploring NextJS and learning dsa from Udemy.
