Zach Randolph attacked Blake Griffin over and over until they had beef

  • The Clippers-Grizzlies rivalry of the early 2010s was awesome -- good games, even better fouls and fights. In the middle of it all were two power forwards who kind of represented their teams' opposing reputations. Blake Griffin was the bright and shiny young superstar of "Lob City" -- high-flying and awe-inspiring. Zach Randolph was the tough, older bully; exactly what the Grizzlies meant when they described themselves as "grit and grind."
What did that amount to? Beef! Randolph tried constantly to engage Griffin in some on-court scuffling: he poked, he prodded, he wrestled, he body-slammed ... he even choked. Zach baited Blake repeatedly, then questioned his toughness in the media when the younger player refused to respond.
This is the tale of a pure beef, albeit a kind of one-sided one.

Rudy Gay was suppouse to be KD, but he chose to shoot a shot on a game 7 I think and belive for the win instead of just driving it and scoring it for the win. The Rudy Gay got traded. I swear and I think and I belive if Rudy Gay makes that shot, and didnt break his hand he might of been KD right now with a championship.

@@mruk14 Ok I will, but I think Rudy Gays career could of had been different and maybe better if he made that buzzer beater after that; they traded him and it is almost like he kept fading away slowly then very quickly once KD got so good and Kawai, and Paul George came out of nowhere and started to get ahead of Rudy Gay. In my opinion even tough that is true the scoring titles KD had Rudy Gay was in Memphis with a lot of good players, and I think his career could of been better. I look at him now and he is just a spot up shooter in San Antonio and playing center on defense.

2:23 I can't believe they passed on Curry. That Memphis team was built perfectly for Curry to dominate. They desperately need 3 point shooting and had great defenders at every position to cover up for his deficiencies!

@@harveybrenord1004 Harden might have been a better fit positionally but eventually I think he would've been unhappy with his role on the team! It took Harden until this year to figure out how to kind of co-exist with another elite ball-handler (even now, he's not great at it). His lack of effort on D and the fact that he has NO off-ball movement whatsoever would not have fit with the Grizz team/culture. They would have had to use him as a 6th man and I don't think he would've been as cool with it as he was in OKC.
