That's great. As a teacher I hope you tell your students that the reason people make "simplified" videos of these things is because the world we live in was shaped by these things. And that the same stuff repeats so many times that it can't possibly be coincidence.

Man, this video genuinely helped me out in my college Biology class. We were talking about evolution and on one of our tests, it asked what types of creatures came about in the Cambrian Explosion. I, who have watched "The Entire History of the Entirety of the World I Guess" several times, immediately remembered the line "That's the Cambrian Explosion. Wow, that's animals and stuff." I just smiled and marked animals down on my answer sheet. I got it right! There were other instances of that sort of thing too, but that is the one I remember. I had tried to get my history teachers to play this video in class several years but it never happened. I think it is really helpful, especially after watching it several times.
History of Japan is great. And if anyone ever gets the chance to visit Japan, jump on it. Japan is so beautiful I've visited 5 times already...just waiting for the world to get over this virus so I can make another trip back.

I think that my favorite part of this video, even beyond being a jumping off point for deeper topics, is how it helps show how some events are interconnected. You may know about the 7 year war, the American Revolution, and the French Revolution, but normally you study them each as kind of an independent event. Seeing 'France and England fought, so England was broke and started taxing america heavily. America revolted but France helped and now they are broke too, so their people revolted' all in a smooth flow helps bring those events together in your mind. And he has one other video like this on his channel, a complete history of Japan.
I agree wholeheartedly that history and science would be better being taught as an overview like this. Most people don't need to know the boring details that turn people off. But the people who will be interested will have their curiosity piqued to learn more if they want. This video also shows how many historical events many think are isolated events are actually connected to everything else.
I've rewatched this whole video many many times with other reaction channels and I never get sick of it. One of the best RUclips videos ever made for sure.

I like that you guys picked up on the pattern of it all. That's one thing I noticed about watching the history of the world like this, is the rise and fall of empires, countries, etc. It's a constant flow throughout history. There have been periods where the world was fairly static, but pretty short lived relatively speaking. A few generations at most. Beyond that, I agree the production of this video was amazing. They manage to give you basically the entire history of the world in 20 minutes, and make it entertaining enough to watch.

It Amazes me that the British people were not taught that Americans are European primarily English descendant. We are Europe’s’ outcast of that time. American’s left England and Europe because of it’s political, social, and religious stands. The whole revulsion and battle for Independence was about England trying to control us as if we still belonged to them. All Americans know this and it amazes me that British people don’t. after i saw this video i realized that we really got an oversimplified talk about world events til now, i remember my history textbooks being separated between the beginning of man to 1500CE, and then 1500CE to now, tons of info to think about really, humans have done a lot. I wish we'd get this type of video at the end of each year, similar but dealing with what happened each year both the bad and good and neutral. Loved this video gents!
It’s definitely easier to follow during the parts I knew, but there were two moments in there that threw me either because he went past a detail that I thought was important and I was waiting for and he didn’t or I didn’t know but thankfully, during the the past 2 years I’ve begun learning a shit ton that I wish I learned in school. And I get so proud of myself when I can answer questions that contestants get wrong or don’t know on Jeopardy. It’s truly the best feeling. 😅

The wurtz method: use speed to your advantage to explain as much you can in a short amount of time, make everything catchy and some humor, commentate on yourself to make the audiance feel like your talking for them. Boom just fixed education.

after i saw this video i realized that we really got an oversimplified talk about world events til now, i remember my history textbooks being separated between the beginning of man to 1500CE, and then 1500CE to now, tons of info to think about really, humans have done a lot. I wish we'd get this type of video at the end of each year, similar but dealing with what happened each year both the bad and good and neutral. Loved this video gents!
It’s definitely easier to follow during the parts I knew, but there were two moments in there that threw me either because he went past a detail that I thought was important and I was waiting for and he didn’t or I didn’t know but thankfully, during the the past 2 years I’ve begun learning a shit ton that I wish I learned in school.
And I get so proud of myself when I can answer questions that contestants get wrong or don’t know on Jeopardy. It’s truly the best feeling. 😅

In the high school I went to (in Australia) , this video, along with “Horrible Histories” was basically the only way teachers could get the class to actually want to learn history

The wurtz method: use speed to your advantage to explain as much you can in a short amount of time, make everything catchy and some humor, commentate on yourself to make the audiance feel like your talking for them. Boom just fixed education.
