I think Mr. Metcalfe should have his own RUclips car channel now that he's gone from EVO. His videos were the best, and also owns so many cars he could talk about...

Really enjoying my Supercharged V-8 purchased new in 2015. An excellent vehicle with no problems whatsoever. If I had to do it over, I would definitely purchase this vehicle again.

Yes the old model was alluring, personally I think this new model is funky, futuristic, intuitive and fits into modern society impeccably. This car has raised the bar a colossal amount for Land Rover.

A few Americans saying the 2013 Range Rover "looks like a Ford Explorer"? Maybe, but you Yanks can bet your last dollar that the Range Rover is a better machine than a Ford Explorer or any other luxury SUV built in America right now. There is a reason the Range Rover has a bigger price tag. Its a quality product.

I saw it today in Prague on Austrian number plates (probably a test car like this one) and I also had been a bit concerned about the looks in a comparison with the old one (especially the gorgeous 2007-2010 MY) 'till I saw it in real and I have to tell you, it looks absolutely awesome....though it misses the angularity of the old one

still sells more SUV's and buys more SUV's than the rest of the world. The ideal American SUV is a car that can carry boat loads of people and possibly tow a boat or a horse trailer. They're mostly built for utility to luxury. The American and European market for SUV's are COMPLETELY different. Yes you are right the Range Rover is AWESOME and the BEST SUV EVER, I'm not trying to argue with you just simply clarifying :]

Good review as ever Harry, I seem to recall a column in EVO that suggested there was room in the market for a high end 4x4. Seems RR listened to you! I'd love one but they start at 170k AUD here :-(

I guess we expect something else from a car review. I find Harry's videos very entertaining and love spending my time watching it. Every car enthusiast want to lead a diary like him. To travel around the world and drive exotics. For fun, watch Top Gear, but their reviews aren't much factual and these days they overuse effects and cuts, so you can't really see anything properly. Try Chris Harris, he is great, partly factual and shows details, partly fun and does massive slides.

I like the Explorer, and it may have had that style of lights first, but I agree with you: there's no question the RR is a better machine. Better styling; better quality; better performance, and more off-road capability... but for almost triple the price, it better be the better machine.
I don't see anything wrong with different makes using similar design cues. If every line on every vehicle had to be absolutely unique, we'd all drive cars that look like they we designed by Salvador Dalí.

really nice review - had 3 RR - 3 generations - the 2002-2012 still the best looking RR ever - can understand new refinements and that they had to make a little styling change - not to bad - I really enjoy mine with the BMW 4.4 engine - great engine - but can understand why it needs a good diesel as well - old BMW diesel was not so great old Land Rover diesel was a bit better but not enough power

I think losing buttons helps get the cost down. Stick it all on the screen and you just programme the screen to have all the buttons you want. You don't need different buttons for different languages either.
My E60 BM has it all on iDrive and I hate it. The E39 has mroe buttons.

A lot of people lease them and pay around 1000 dollars a month for two years. I would be extremely surprised if a lot actually pay cash for one. That's why throwing options on is not a big deal, it puts the lease payment up by 20-50 bucks. Then you have the business owners that write them off as an expense.

    2 questions here:
1-is the pricing right? seems like he is messing up. If the V6 is that expensive what of the V8? And what of the V8 Autobiography?
2-I can't find the V6 on the US website, only V8 are listed so where on earth is the V6 coming from?
    Good video all in all

People that spend 90k on a car are actually (often) people who spend 20k on it, and struggle to find £400 or whatever it is a month. Fuel economy is very much an issue for most of them. I've always bought the most expensive car I could afford - and by that I mean the most expensive deposit I could afford - simply because I like driving nice cars. The difference between a 20mpg car and a 30mpg can be as much as £3000 a year for me, and plenty more for others.

Great review by Harry once again :) All-time hero of the carworld
About the Ranger Rover. I hate to say it but I don't think I'd take this over de previous generation. The outgoing model is more majestic as you would expect from a Ranger Rover. Also the interior has a better styling then the new one (thanks to the old fashioned buttons tailor made for gloves for instance). Don't get me wrong, I like the new Range Rover but I'd buy the previous generation every time.

Old one is better looking. Raising the 'feel' and consequently the price was the obvious course of action but you want a Range Rover to say as you're driving down the road to all the X5, M-CLass, Q7 drivers "Look at me, I am considerably wealthier than you". Only car buffs will know this is in a different league. Range Rover should have made this have more presence.
