There is a specific type of clearcoat that has an enamel in it that is resistant to gasoline you have to get it from an auto body shop it’s roughly 25 American dollars I’m not sure what that would be over with you guys but you want to activate it and don’t you only have like an hour or two to use the can because it freezes up I recommend using that on your whole bike if able otherwise if you get a gas leak or if you’re blowing anything out of your carburetor or anything like that it’s just gonna destroy the job I know that’s an electric bike well just a FYI if you don’t know already brother Looking good bro
Funny how you mentioned that. The one you said is what I'm using. It's everything proof. I use that on ALL my gas bikes. Because of the fuel, the ones I used to use 2 years ago would melt away when gasoline touched it. Our version is called simoniz, a very good laquer. I gave the bike 3 coats after I said I wouldn't give it another one. It came out beautifully. A good looking wet shine, that was the look I was looking for.
Brother. The neighbours have all of a sudden got cat's. They keep coming in the garden and eating my cat's food. I'm sure they asking me to make them a motorized bike 🤣. They always seem to be around them
As for the laquer, I actually gave it a 3rd coat. It looks beautiful, it's got a nice wet shine to it. I'm definitely happy with the results. I started working on the electrics for the bike. I used a 12-volt motorcycle battery and hooked it to the capacitor and turned it up. The motor is damn powerful. I'm still waiting for the dynamo. When that comes, I'll hook that to the other capacitor and in turn, wire that one straight into the other, then hopefully that should be my power source sorted.
