If it wasn't for John Williams NONE of these Spielberg films would be half as good as they are. His music fit EVERY movie perfectly. Just a brilliant man.
I remember going to see “Jaws 2” on the Wildwood boardwalk in New Jersey when it opened in June of ‘78. I saw it when I was 5 and it scared the shit out of me. Then to top it off, I saw “Halloween” that October with my order brother. These two films laid the ground work for my love of cinema, especially horror and suspense films.
My sister in law was away, said she saw Jaws 2 being filmed, at the time of their visit. What a score. I managed to pick up the Jaws 2 soundtrack on vinyl at a record fair a few years back. Sadly it does not include the overall score. Still a collectors piece anyway. Great stills from the film. The Jaws animatronics fascinates me.
The greatness of movies was lost decades ago. The first and second Jaws movies are the only ones to exist. The other ones suck to bad to even be acknowledged. Just like any Indiana Jones movie after the third one.
Jaws 2 was, without a doubt, the most eagerly anticipated film of my teenage years. I was 14 when it was released. I participated in Star magazine’s contest to write the ending but never heard anything. Imagine my surprise when I read the novelization and discovered that the ending WAS my ending! For years I was convinced they stole my idea but I figured many people had the same idea. I loved the movie. Great scares, great score! But it took me years to finally figure out why the shark just simply didn’t look as realistic as in the first one. But I finally figured it out: no blood! Spielberg bloodied the flesh of the shark’s mouth in the first film giving it a more natural, realistic presence while the sequel shark remained perfectly pristine throughout. But it will always have a special place in my cinematic heart!
Wow. I remember sitting in my freshman algebra class reading the photo layout in Star Magazine (newspaper fold out) as well in late 77. It was the very first photo preview of that movie. I was crushing on Ann.
When the girl gets swallowed by the shark after she saved the boy, that messed me up as a kid. lol!!! I thought sharks could really swallow you whole after seeing that. 😂😂😂
he could have been even better if they didn't cut some great scenes like bob death , the attack the helicopter under the water and some scenes with the mayor
Jaws the first movie was by far the best especially with Robert Shaw as quint the first jaws had something magical about it a timeless movie that stood the test of time 👍😁🤗
I liked Jaws 2 as far as sequels go it was entertaining for the late 70s. The late 70s had some good creature features. Orca, the killer whale, was a decent film with Richard Harris.
It had great music, beautiful location, and some good thrills and situations. It was not possible to outshine the first film, so people mustn't complain.
No its the finale when after most of the teens swim to cable junction after Lucy gets scratched by the fin (which was part of the shot of Bobs death that remained) Jackie and Sean are still stranded on the boats with the shark circling them before Brody improvises the cable electrocution idea! Picture is Jackie and Sean, not Bob!
They did. Some wise guy thought it was a good idea to shave the shark's jowls down, which changed some of its looks. Add that to the fact that they didn't keep the models painted like the original shark, so it always n looked dull gray all over instead of dark on top and white on the bottom.
Jaws 2 is definitely a great sequel! The only scenes I didn't like in that movie was the way Jackie kept screaming. That got annoying. At least it's better than Jaws 3 and Jaws The Revenge although I love all 4 of the Jaws movies even though the 3rd and 4th one was terrible I've seen way way worse movies than those.
Jaws 2 wasn't bad. It had its moments also. You just have to get used to different cast but some of the classic stars did appear in this film. I'm glad Roy Schneider was in it. At least it carries over to the second story. And some credit to the rest of the cast. No question of their acting. They did well.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
People are so judgemental Jackie was scared out of her mind I don't think she lived near the ocean & I think bruce traumatized her she must of thought bruce was a real shark, which is why she screamed over the top in the script she was meant to behave like that I felt for the character Eddy who couldn't swim bless him & that's why he was pushed to tina's boat, I felt for Tina to her parents had not taught her the basics of sea men ship or how to control her boat I thought Eddie would of taught her which is very odd she was in shock bless her did you know that shooting was long into the winter months they all had ice cubes in there mouth so there cold breath wouldn't be on film Rip to those actors and actresses who are no longer with us.
Great sequel. Fantastic score.
Agreed! One of John Williams' most underrated scores, and I think one of his best.

Even though it’s a bad movie idc about it still good movie

Agreed
John Williams' entire score to this is once again sublime. And it's still different enough from the previous movie to stand on its own.

I still watch Jaws & Jaws 2 around the 4th of July wknd.
I always thought Jaws 2 was great. It's definitely one of the better sequel efforts of any franchise. Deserves a lot more love than it gets.
Predator 2 is an another great sequel that ppl hate too much on
@@loneokami6560 I remember watching that one when it came out, with no particular expectations and being surprised by just how good it was.
The first Jaws was a masterpiece. No need to try and go beyond that
Super film gros succès au box office
Jawesome. A close 2nd behind the OG & best shark movie ever made JAWS. 🦈🦈🦈
The burnt shark looks badass.

I don’t care what people say, Jaws 2 is one of the best sequels ever made

Thanks for sharing this. Heading soon to Navarre/Destin/Pensacola beaches to see where filming was done
Thanks for the upload uk😊
I forgot how good the music was in Jaws 2.
Yes! I can finally make a brucette sculpt!
You back!!!
how much Roy Scheider hated doing the second jaws its still good just like the first one

3:10 "SH-SH-SH-SHARK!!!!!"
I would like to see a making off of the first (and my favourite) scene: the divers on the sunken "Orca".
Ich liebe diesen Film❤❤❤.
Der Weiße Hai 1❤❤❤.
Liebe Grüße aus Germany.
Is the pic at 1.22 the much dicussed Bob death,it certainly looks like it's chomping through something,thankyou..

Is it just me, or does anyone else, due to both the thumbnail and photo at 3:09 - 3:14, wants a shark movie where a person rides a shark?
1:30 “Brucette” has claspers?!?!? I guess she’s not a female after all!
Your back where have you been?
There was a copyright issue and some changes in my life have been keeping me pretty busy. I'm hoping to have another video ready soon.
Jaws 2 could arguably be considered better than the original. There.. I said it.
1:08 Napoleon Dynamite
I find it kinda funny that this shark got a bit of under bite in the jaws 😅

Too bad they didn’t use the same mold

Le requin fait encore plus faux avec cette mâchoire en avant... Sigh....

Jaws 3 came on last night here in England and after an hour I switched off. The shark looks Hella stupid in some scenes
@maroof1 yeah the shark in that movie looks like it's on crystal meth 😂😂😂
@@MattWolfe1019 🤣🤣🤣
Jaws 1 & 2 were good 3 and 4 were absolutely terrible bad acting and terrible performance from the shark itself. 😅

Jackie was over the top and ruined the final act though.
I don't remember what Jackie did to ruin anything. Haven't watched this in a while.🦈🦈🦈👍✌️🦘🇭🇲
