This video was so much fun to create! I hope you enjoy going through how to learn to code in 2023 with the help of artificial intelligence and ChatGpt! What technologies are you currently learning? Leave in the comments!
Hi Tiffany: with chatgpt in now what are your thoughts? Do you think tech jobs at all are in jeopardy or do you think it will only effect certain career paths in tech?
@Tiff In Tech hi tiffany: in your opinion.....do you think chatgpt will take over all tech jobs or do you think jobs like software developer, cyber security and coding will remain and stay in demand? All these tech jobs are being lost, layer off. First round over 120,000, second round 66,000 in silicone valley. So again.....in your opinion....which tech jobs "could" be saved?
Thank you Tiffany! I love watching your content! I have been using Free Code Camp to learn code and I'm about a month and a half into their JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures course and I'm so here for it. I've also dabbled with python in the past and can definitely see myself picking it back up very soon! Thanks again!
Thank you Anessa! That is so great to hear. I used freecodecamp so much when I was first learning to code - they are awesome. Wishing you all the best!
Ive been using ai to retool my skills I’ve been a Microsoft developer my whole career these libs like react are totally foreign from what Im used to. It’s been a huge help. What a time to be alive in!
This whole chatgpt stuff has actually inspired me to start coding again. I love python. Currently I work in retail at a wireless carrier. But programming is my dream.
Thank you Tiffany! Finally a reasonable video about AI and development. These were some great tips. I started Python last month and very happy to see it as one of the languages you recommended. Really falling in love with it so far. Keep up the great work!
I use it for errors. if i don't understand them. it works really well for that. and can save you a lot of google research time but you give some good ideas i didn't think of. thank you for sharing. one more thing you can resubmit the question for a different answer which can be better a lot of times
I think the #1 tool we should learn and master before everything else is our human supercomputer - the brain. Learning to focus our attention and get down to deep work. Nobody can replace that. And from that solid base we can pick up other tools like chatGPT This approach just seems very common sense to me
Hi Tiffany! Among methods of learning that are mentioned in this video, is learning how to code by listening of audio recordings of code with explanations and audio recordings of coding theory a good supplement to learn how to code?
I can see a future when companies will hire you if they know you are a good 'Chat GPT engineer' I am a student and I have been using it to smash out various languages with success even in languages I don't understand, I just tell it what I want it to do and then if anything is not working I asked it to help me debug and it debugs it for me. if Chat GPT can be used in this way to be at least moderately good at ALL languages I can see it massively changing the game. Chat GPT is almost like a new programming language where the language is English and you just ask it for the code you want rather than finding the code on stack and google.
But I don't think this approach helps you understand the language and its' fundamentals. You can take this approach with small projects, but giant complex applications you will need to know the fundamentals. You can't rely on Chat GPT. The moment something goes wrong with a giant, complex app, how will you troubleshoot or even know where to start troubleshooting? Just my opinion.
I think of AI and programmers as Wordpress and Web developers. They both have needs and purposes for different uses but both are needed! 😊 We can definitely benefit from AI, but it’s definitely not going to take over!
I am using ChatGPT to help me to go through technical books from the O'Reily library. It can explains the logics behind coding concepts. It is a good learning tool.
Thank you so much for making this video, tiff. And I like that you show what music is being played in your video. Gotta say, you got a great taste in music!
I mean AI is the game as I see the upcoming years, but to be honest, being self-taught and trying to find a at least internship is so hard. How can I like be better at coding? I mean, I have some friends who got into some company with a network without any coding knowledge. They got trained and they found mentors for themselves idk if it's luck, but seems good to me. All I am saying is yes tutorials are good for the first 30 days. Then, the road is lost. Yes, I keep on going, but aimlessly if you know what I mean. Anyways keep grinding and I shall see. By the way, Tiff is so beautiful, and thanks for the good content you always share.
I am learning swift programming. Kindly tell me that one should learn through coding on his own or through analyzing the code suggestions from ChatGpt?
YaY!! Coffee Time!!!!!! Now I want to see if GPT can list some of the finest coffies in the world along side the EDU_AI_eio project. So glad not everyone is hating on GPT since it can be applied to enhance potentials of individuals which excel how society advances and is a much needed thing now that life is getting more out and about. Can only imagine if GPT4 were out during CV's onset.. But also glad to be where we are now since on the developer side of things, it was a pain to get so many things working just to see things up and functional and these new tools make the future so much brighter.
Very well produced video. But it seems to me that the more important discussion should be how not over use chatgpt and actually try to figure things out by yourself. That goes for a lot of others things in life as well.
I started dabbling with wordpress and even the basics of HTML but it seemed like such an overwhelmingly huge field, I just gave up. What would you suggest looking at learning (and maybe where) as an absolute beginner interested in learning the fundamentals of AI? Loved the video :-)
Can you do a video where you prompt ChatGPT and then edit it to a finished product. I.e. a script about how you went from modeling to coding to doing RUclips.
It doesn't have self reflection and doesn't understand what is correct only what is the next word to say and therefore comes up with incorrect answers. For simple work and stuff that's been repeated alot and model has been trained for then it will likely come up with the right and reasonible answer but it cannot check itself (yet)...
Hello, im 12 years old i want to start to code (for school and knowledge) basically to make games but i dont know w/ what language to start, and if you have sum tut ill take it. Thznk you for answering fastly.
That is awesome you are so interested in programming! I would suggest checking out if your school offers any coding classes as well. Java, Javascript or python are all great places to start. You have tons of time so pick one and throughout your journey you will learn lots more
@@TiffInTech Actually i live in France, at school they dont offer coding class but in technology i guess so. I would ask and we have sum learning center they offer that, ill try doin a discord bot with javascript and with python ill make an app with mini games. Thank you for your help!
New York?! I thought you were in Canadia. I'm using GPT to try and understand the various components of Python, which I an determined to get a handle on. I just don't seem to grasp objects. Thought at the beginning of the video, you had decided to go into acting.
Unfortunately, even with the help of ChatGPT, you still need to learn about the language itself before you start prompt engineering it. I used it to create codes step by step and I can already see its disadvantages. It is still a semi-supervised model that requires specific low-level information in order to perform well. If you tell it to write a code with a high-level prompt, it will only spit out codes that you want to see, and not what you need. Be careful with it. It doesn't have any form of memory or adaptivity unless specified.
What about the huge amount of computing power you need to backup the data of a KI? What one can easily program is an frontend to the ChatGPT API. I'm interested in Python for Webdesign...Which Frameworks can one use? Or do I need to learn Javascript too?
If someone even needs a guide on how to write some letters and use the equal sign to associate a value with it or doesnt understand how to write a condition and give it a sequence of instructions after that which is repeated as long its not true then you probably are disabled and not being able to code is your smallest problem
