You can't put Rudy in the league as other 30+yr adults,Rudy never leaved his house for over 20yrs,so obviously his mind doesn't grow up beyond of a 14 yr old

Jokes aside, as much as it is uncomfortable, Rudeus doesn't grow just because he gets reincarnated. He doesn't change anything creepy about him for his own sake, but because the people around him weren't okay with it. Everytime he tries to "play the game of life" he gets slapped in the face by reality and he is forced to adapt. It happened with the kidnapping, it happened with the bath with sylphy, it happened with his 10th birthday, it happened when he toyed with the lives of people in ep11, it happened with Paul's reunion.
My favorite thing about the show is how subtle his development is. It's really slow but that's kind of the point and it makes it feel all the more real and rewarding when you actually notice change in him.
i agree, i really like his development so far and i'm very interested to see where his character goes in the future

The thing is though is rudeus acting like a child or is he one, you can say he had his past life and so on but in none of the other examples and any real scenario do you have someone in his position, Eris was 12 in that scene you showed(Rudeus was 10 there not her) and it showed pretty quickly why that matters when talking about underage ''relations'' because Eris is Bigger and physically stronger then Rudeus and easily beat him down, now when it comes to him knowing more sexual things then he should at that age I agree and it isn't really defensible but I don't rate this the same as if a 40 year old man just attacked a 12 year old girl that is a big power advantage.
It's still scummy for sure though, but I think that's on purpose for the story, it's a redumption arc of sorts that comes back later to be addressed. That said I think the stuff with sylphy in the bath scene was innocent, there was no sexual suggestion there and kids bathe with each other all the time it's just he didn't know she was a girl and it's not like a 5 year old kid is going to be hanging out with adults he will be hanging with his age group.
I responded to this comment the other day but for some reason it didn't post? Anyways I understand what you're saying, what Rudeus does is still wrong--whether he's stronger than her or not. Most teenage boys are stronger than most middle-aged women, it'd still be wrong for a middle-aged woman to sleep with a teenage boy, even if the boy is stronger, the women would still be a predator due to her knowledge and experience in life. I agree that he can definitely change for the better, but right now he's a shitty person and this is something I will never forget about him--even if he becomes a great person later on. He should know better right now since he's lived so many years already.

It is okay to hate on Rudeus, even him also hates himself... It's just that the mindset of being a garbage from his whole past life was that hard to remove.
One thing though, Rudeus has never been interested or had ecchi thoughts to Zenith except for that one time when he just woke up from being reincarnated and doesn't know for a few seconds who Zenith was... And I think this one is barely legal... I mean, okay.
very true, I was saying it more jokingly whenever I talked about him being sexual with his mother. also, I definitely don’t hate Rudeus. his character development is interesting and although he’s a freak, I still like him overall

What makes it hard to watch is knowing the writer of Jobless is writing these sexualized scenes with kids like his fantasy. After the whole thing with Rurouni Kenshin writer especially.
It's okay, if you not like rudy it was make sense, but i just hope you can appriciate the development of his character. But fyi, if don't know yet, rudy never feels attracted to his mom, or close relative.

I have to defend Rudi, but because almost all your points on the old version of him being a pervy old man are right, excepr that he's still a not yet adult in their world. So right now he's just a very perverted kid/teen doing perverted kid/teen type things.
He's got the memories and knowledge of a 34 year old man from another world, but the physical body, and physical brain of a child/teen. This lands it all in a extreme grey area, but to simplify the defensive side's part of the arguement, if a kid reads a few hentai books, watches a couple "live action" hentai and is given "the talk" do we treat a child as an adult when it comes to sexual activity or do we just think of them as a pervy child because their testosterone and everything else hasn't kicked in or fully developed.
But truly even without that stupid arguement like everything you said, the brat is slowly becoming a better person and unlike Cartoons, Shonen Anime, and the desires of the Twitter overlords, people don't immediately change and this show has a good gradual change.

What exactly people call “pedophilia” in this anime?
Is it the depiction of young children in some questionable scenes? Well those scenes are never done explicitly for sexual gratification rather for some actual plot points of the story. They never feel out of place. The camera never stays on those scenes longer than it needs to be and it is quite clear that ogling young undeveloped bodies is NOT the goal of these scenes. If anything those scenes if they have any sexual context are usually done to nail a disgust towards the character doing sexual stuff rather than to associate with him.
Or are you telling me you actually were aroused by those scenes?
