    Laundry Pro tip : Each person has their own dirty hamper and clean bin + ( a mesh bag for delicate items ) and a bin for my kids "to be put away". I never mix people's laundry. I keep them seprate so I don't have to sort them later. I do a dark load and a light fabric load for each person. Out of the dryer: Hang up all the shirts and dresses and I put everything else in the "to be put away" bin and put it in the child's room on their bed to be put away. @ 7yrs old or more teach the kids how to do their own laundry and they have to be reminded to put them away. (They will need help with any harsh chemicals like bleach.) ENJOY!

    I wish that there were a straight forward video on how to exactly create a command central and how to use and maintain it. Not talking about the self which is great but eats up the mindset so I get confused with how I am to set it up.

    • @LearnDoBecome
      @LearnDoBecome  11 месяцев назад +2

      Yes! I would be more than happy to help! Because we keep most of our videos short, we don’t have all the information in one video, but we do have an in-depth video on each part of the Command Central-plus several videos about the overall system. Would you mind looking through the videos and the playlists we have and letting me know if you would want things better organized or if we are missing any topics you need? We also have a directory of all our videos and podcasts at LearnDoBecome.com/directory. I am SO happy you want to build your system and will help however I can! ❤️

    Another laundry pro tip: from a mom of six: Do it daily, two small loads for example, much easier to handle than a weekly mountain. Collect it in the morning soon as everyone is dressed. Hang it outside if its nice out. This gets ME out in the fresh air, gets the KIDS outside to play, and then I can pull a few weeds, or rake, or play with the kids. After lunch, they all nap because they've been out all morning, and I bring in the laundry and fold it while watching a TV show (ME time!). Put it away before I start supper if possible.

    This just makes so much sense! I’ve actually done everything wrong and what you’ve explained how not to do. I’ve taken so much flack from my family over the years… Now at 74 I feel like I don’t have to cut back on things that are important to me and I can still get rid of the clutter!

    April, For a room out of control: i recomend: the Dana K. White method take a trash bag and remove trash, trash, trash, then select donatables, then go take the items that don't belong there, ask the declutering questions. Pick the item and ask where would I find it?

    a quick tip is that I only check my mail once per week. Then I can deal with the whole pile at once.

    YES!!! Thank you! So much of my piles that RE APPEARED on my desk from last year March, when I started the LearnDOBecome Steps, are because it's a paper I need for a specific date and don't want to lose it or file it in a way where I'm spending 45 minutes looking for it in 3 months!!! THANK YOU!!! Bless you!

    This video is 4 years old and so I’m wondering if you are still using Asana and Evernote?

    • @LearnDoBecome
      @LearnDoBecome  3 месяца назад +3

      I personally still love both. They work beautifully for me. Some people use Google Docs, OneNote, or other apps instead of Evernote, and there are lots of comparison charts, etc. out there if you want to explore. As long as it is easy to create, file, and retrieve your notes, anything can work. I like being able to add audios, photos, and text to the same note, and the formatting with Evernote is my favorite. For Asana, any project manager that lets you group projects and tasks can work! I’ve heard of people using Clickup or Trello or Monday-among others. You’ll just want to make sure it is easy to see your current projects and routines and to know what you need to do that day. Not sure if you are in our STEP Mastery program, but lots of people share their ideas in the Mastery Facebook group, if you are looking for more details! And our new STEP Program Revamp has a full video on how our daughter uses mostly digital resources for her Command Central. Lots more on our free podcast, too!

    Are the cubbies for each of your eight projects or are they life categories such as business and have more than one project folder in each cubby?

    • @LearnDoBecome
      @LearnDoBecome  3 года назад +1

      Great question! Yes--they are "life categories" like Goal-Setting, Children, Home Management, Business, Church, etc.

  • @renaymorin1532

    What is the difference between Evernote and Asana? I have used a Franklin DayPlanner since 1987 for my appointments and notes and reminders...and I see you use a Covey planner also, I am a little overwhelmed to also think of starting Evernote and Asana as well, when I usually scan documents into my computer just based on a file name saved in a directory labeled by year, then pertinent file name and date Ex: 2021 Mortgage Statement 082021....can I be just as successful if I don't use Evernote and Asana? Or how would you recommend me to begin SLOWLY to use these two new tools?

    • @LearnDoBecome
      @LearnDoBecome  3 года назад +2

      ReNay, these are such good questions! To start with, we use Asana is primarily used for organizing projects, routines, and tasks. Evernote is used to store information and can be easily found when needed. (Basically like a digital filing cabinet.)
      We have several additional resources that speak specifically to this question on our website and in the STEP Library if you are a Mastery member. We'll send you an email with more details!

    This is perfect I grew up with the saying that there is a place for everything and everything in its place and I would like to really implement that philosophy in my life I find myself looking for things all the time taking up time to get ready to go anywhere it currently takes me 2 hours to get dressed, but because I am weird with being late I have to get ready the night before or I
    need 2 hrs. I would love to find things in 10 seconds.

      Shanda, it's totally doable! It takes time to get to that point but it's absolutely worth it. Have you built your Command Central yet?

    What to do with all the clothes your child has out grown. Each kid has a garbage bag hanging in their closet with their size and first letter of their alphabet and as they try it on and it dosen't fit or they don't like it anymore, they put it in the garbage bag. This bag can be sold , donated or saved for other family members.
