I’ve been streaming at 720p when I first started and after I upgraded my internet connection I steamed at 1080p but my stream would crash once in awhile or the delay between what I do in game and my viewers seeing it was terrible but 936p is perfect I haven’t experienced a crash or delay since watching this pro tip in September 2022 thank you!
You can stream at 8k Bitrate as an affiliate friend! Even though it's not officially announced by twitch. But you can make the tests yourself if you've got the upload speeds for it! As i've done them myself and definitely got huge improvements out of it, Though i go at 7700 Bitrate, not 8000 to spare some for audio, not sure how audio bitrate works myself.
@@uselessbum80085 I use StreamElements so I've only done it with regular obs. But I'm sure it would work the same with slobs. The max bit rate is for the platform you are streaming to.
because this used to be a thing and most people's internet cant even keep up with 8000. extraordinary pixelization in high fps games like COD. 936p fixes all that.

I love this tip I'm definitely gonna use it but I have another question you seem like you know what you're talking about could you help me in this situation. I usually stream at 720 at 60 frames Bit rate at 4500 And sometimes my stream is still Pixelated I tried lowering my bit right down and it still looks really gross I tried lowering it down to 30 frames prs but still wasn't enough sometimes when I go to 1080P it looks crisp but still always pixelated in fast movement. I just want a decent quality to where there's no pixellation
This is a very common mistake but it is important to clarify that kb/s are bits NOT bytes. KB/s are bytes. The capital B is the main difference typically lol
I was under the impression that both the base and output resolutions needed to match? My tv is 4096x2160 but I run it at 3840x2160. So if that is my base then you’re telling me my output still needs to be 1664x936?
Hey I been doing research on this many videos but hopefully you can answer some small things. I am using HArdware (NVENC) (new) as well. For the Keyframe Interval should i leave it at 0? a lot of the old days videos said to put it at 2. The Preset i normally have my set to Performance. Would changing it to quality help reduce pixilation? Lastly since you said that the audio is combine with the bitrate, i have my audio sample rate at 48khz should i lower that to 44.1khz or leave it there and change my bitrate to 5500? I dont know what you meant the sweet spot was.
I asked from streamlabs service, can audio take video bitrate, like u are saying in video (5000) and rest for audio. They answered: thats wrong, it will not kick over 6000 when streaming

No problem bro! Depending on how good your PC is you should be able to record with a secondary app (like popy or streamlabs) in 1080p (or higher) so you have high rez files for YT.
I dont understand the 5055. Doesnt audio only take up anywhere from like 128, 160, 240, 300, etc... so shouldnt you set the max to 6000 - (your audio bitrate) = x
Your bitrate goes up and down as you stream. Having an allotment allows for over kill. You're free to do whatever ya want though. It's just something I do :)
is there a better resolution like this for a ultrawide monitor 2560x1080 ? becouse if i stream in my native resolution even with all quality maxed and 8k bit rate my stream dont look good specialy in daker areas when moving
Make sure your "base resolution" on the "video" tab in "settings" is the same as your monitors resolution. You can right click your desktop and choose "display settings" to find this out.

switch to obs it's way better i streamed for like 2 years with streamlabs and changed to obs even with a very bad pc. I have 2 pc's and both are running way better with obs

@@Gophxr 6K for affiliates is just the recommendation. Anybody on twitch can go to 8K bitrate, not just partners. The only thing is that during busy periods your viewers might not get transcoding options. So if their internet isn't fast enough, they can't really watch the stream without it buffering. Twitch will prioritize their partners first in that case. So you might lose a small amount of viewers in that scenario. The only thing you have to do is mark the box in obs that says something like "ignore streaming service recommended bitrate" under the Stream tab. Otherwise you will be capped at 6K.

ok 2 questions. 1. I play at 1440p Resolution, is 1664x936 still a good option to rescale? 2. Changing the Rescale Resolution in the Video settings only applies for Recording Videos. To change/rescale the Stream Resolution you have to do it on the Output -> Streaming Tab. Right?
The majority of people who stream have others in the house using the internet at the same time. Higher than 6K creates instability under these circumstances. Having a wifi connection also creates instability.

Is there a magic number for my base resolution which is 2k?
@@HasimFNyes you can I stream at 8k bitrate and I’ve done some testing to see if there’s an improvement between 6k and 8k and there’s actually a huge improvement in the quality of the stream at 8k bitrate and you can see that the stream is at 8k bitrate in the video player settings and I’m not a partner just affiliated

That's exactly how I stream as well at 7700 bitrate. There is a check box on OBS to ignore twitches bit rate cap.

because your bitrate cant hang with your connection.. My recommendation is using 936p60fps 6000 bitrate

My friend isn't a partner and he's been doing 10 hour 8K bitrate streams for a week now without issues.

Useful advice but the spin transitions and motion during the screencap stuff is WAY too distracting. Actually makes my head feel dizzy.

They will automatically download at the highest rate you streamed in. In this case it will be 936p
