fun idea for the second Dozer, have it being retracked, have one track brand new, and the other one heavily weathered and worn, unhooked, to make it look like they are putting on a new track. *edit* Dont shake hands with Danger, and make sure to change one track at a time to avoid a roll-away
As a heavy equipment operator that has in fact loaded a cat dozer on a low bow, absolutely realistic sir, you have inspired me to get back in to scale models and I thank you
I was fortunate enough to join the Navy Seabees 78to83 as a Heavy Equipment Operator and ran different tractor trailers including DM 800 Mack's hauling heavy equipment and operating the equipment. Then the last 40 years running many types of heavy equipment .I built this same dozer when I was growing up on a dairy farm around 73 I believe and I've built a couple of the DM 800 Mack's. This channel takes me back many years.
Very realistic build! I have seen these trailers too and your right, the top gets scuffed and worn but the sides stay pretty clean. Thanks for sharing this.
I built the dozer in the mid to late 70’s. Of all the plastic models I built in the 70’s, the dozer was always my favorite! Wish I knew what happened to it! Oh well, I’m retired, so better go get this two build kit and get to work!
I just got the AMT White Freightliner, kit number AMT-620, and noticed it has the same construction company decals as that bulldozer lowboy trailer kit, your ‘65 El Camino, & your crew chief ‘72 Blazer. That would go well with your trailer & lowboy trailer set. Not to mention all would make a great and cool diorama.
Cool. I’m going to be painting my truck to be similar to a Transformers toy and paint one of the trailers I got black. I should find out if a fried of mine follows your Facebook page, so that he could post them there and you could see my projects.
Question. If you still have the Autocar 10 wheeler semi truck from a long time ago, do you think you could do another one but weather it and patina it and put it in a diorama where it's sitting neglected?
Nice kits. Hopefully we can see more up to date trucks and trailers. By the way that first song sounds like a truck driving song from the 70's CB radio era.
Oh, Round 2/AMT molded the Caterpillar D8 bulldozer in yellow again! When AMT first released this kit, I had bought one. The polystyrene was yellow, making assembly reasonably easy. Twenty years or so ago, AMT re-issued it, as well as Ertl's massive International Harvester off-road dump truck and cement mixer. Unlike Ertl's original issue of their kits decades earlier, however, AMT had cast them in a light grey, increasing the complexity of assembly by an order of magnitude! 😠 To see the D8 in yellow again--saving the builder enormous amounts of work--delights me. A wistful joy, though, for my happiness will be vicarious.
Both great kits, nice to see Round2 making a combo kit with the pair! They just go to together so well.. I have a few lowboys and yet to get a D9 Dozer.. Great video and description on parts and build!
Looks great pulled these trailers very realistic they take a beating one sweet build. They did kit the cement mixer truck in the 80.s buy ertle need it back
My dad was going to do this. He had almost finished a ute as a pilot vehicle, then was going to do the bulldozer. He'd done the tractor and trailer a few years ago. He passed on Friday. Never got to finish it.
My daughter did the Lowboy and modified it a little bit. I just ordered this kit, and plan to do it as a DOT truck. I like the conspicuity markings on the decal sheet! Chris, as always, great build.
If I hadn't watched you build it I would have thought that you were hanging out at the drop yard of a construction site. Another awesome build my friend. Happy Thanksgiving!
I've built both these kits years ago and had the trailer hooked up to, I believe, a Kenworth tractor. I kinda wish they'd produce a more modern lowboy. like a Rogers or Talbert drop neck 2, 3, or 4 axle one.
I built this trailer 5/6 years ago. It damn near fell together, one of the best assembling trailers I've ever built. I replaced the molded plastic "wood"with real wood. Turned out amazing. I was waiting for this to be actually released to order it. Glad to hear it's finally in! I'm gonna get this, the big International rock truck, and a separate trailer.(To modify to haul the big rock truck!) What the heck!?? You finally run out of good ol' Testors silver???
I love you're video's what I would like too see is the extra huge draglines like big musky the 13,000 ton walking dragline and the cable excavators (please)
If I stick something in the video that isn't in the box I get a billion comments "I bought this and no truck was in it!!!!" So I stick to reviews of what's in the box.
I bought the same kit a couple weeks before this video was uploaded Im doing something different I took each part of the trailer, measured and rescaled to 1/14 scale Currently using these measurements and building it using steel welded together to create a big brother for use in my big radio control semi trucks Larger Rc one will be exactly like the smaller plastic model
you did good again! the weathering definitely takes time but necessary. wished they would have included another set of flags and oversized load sign to be put of a tractor! by the way, the kit I put together back in the '70's came with white plastic for the lo boy and had a decal for the dozer grille with round "holes"- something about copyright stuff changed it. I seem to remember reading about somebody taking that grille and drilling holes in it to make it look more real - said he would never do it again, his eyes got sore!
Boy that’s a killer build from a killer kit. I’m building an R model Mack that would look good with that load on the back but I’m not really anxious to spend that much right now.
What a build, a great finish. PS a holiday is coming as been advertised on the TV across the pond I can't remember if you have build the coke cola 40 foot trailer yet if not any chance leading up to Christmas⛄
I'm likin' this build Chris! The non-sleeper version of the Freightliner cabover tractor with the single-drive would look dope with this kit. Also, the Mack DM series day cab conventional would also tie this unit together nicely. Just some quick suggestions to mate up with this awesome trailer/ bulldozer kit.
would it be possible to add strips of balsa wood for decking in stead of the provided plastic sheets of simulated wood? Great build by the way, love the dirt dozer in contrast to the fairly clean trailer
I have a question I have seen your spray booth have insane paint or dust build up I can’t tell what it is but does that ever become a problem with stuff falling on wet paint
It's paint build up. 100+ kits per year it builds up fast. And nope, never have an issue with stuff falling into the paint job. It's entire job is to catch loose paint. Every now and then I'll give it a scrape. Filters get changed as needed. I'm always humored by how many folks worry about the paint booth being dirty. It's entire job is to get dirty to keep paint from flying all over the shop. :) Thanks man!
@@hpiguy ok nice to know it’s just I just build my own spray booth out of a big plastic box I was just wondering if I should worry about paint build up or not
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE. Everyone keep yourself and love ones safe and healthy.
Thanks Teddy!

Shake hands with danger is a great educational film.
Give it a shot and post it on the FB page!
Shake hands with danger, any guy oughta know. I used to laugh at safety, but now they call me... Three Finger Joe.
@@exploded6649 "Shake Hands with Danger"...awesome name for a band!
Instablaster.
The oil drum stains on the front deck make it real. Nice touch. Your giving out some very cool secrets - thanks for sharing...
Thanks for watching!
Very neat that they have the 'U Construction' Blazer & El Camino on the boxtop!
Yeah, I've reviewed both on here as well. :)
My great uncle was a truck driver he use to haul heavy construction equipment
As a heavy equipment operator that has in fact loaded a cat dozer on a low bow, absolutely realistic sir, you have inspired me to get back in to scale models and I thank you
I can't help thinking of the movie killdozer.
It’s all the weathering & detailing, scuffing, fine details that make such great work!!! Awesome!!!!!!
Thank you very much!
That Auto Car hooked up to this would be awesome !
R model mack 👌
Auto Car OH YEAH!!
I remember watching the bulldozer build and with this it really makes a nice set. Thanks for another great build.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Fantastic build, and as always, great narration (and encouragement)....thanks for posting.
Another sweet piece of work. Thank you, Chris.
Thanks again!
I just bought this lowboy trailer with the cat dozer. Very Awesome
Good choice!
Very realistic build! I have seen these trailers too and your right, the top gets scuffed and worn but the sides stay pretty clean. Thanks for sharing this.
Right on!
Great looking build. Looks just killer with the Dozer on it...
Thanks!
Your video just make me buy one i got it today
Cool ,enjoy!
Thank you
Another cool build Chris keep them coming as usual thank you
Thanks, will do!
Looks real in the photos!
Thanks a lot! Happy Thanksgiving!
That's a GREAT kit, a must for any model builder!! 👍 👍 👍
Yes indeed!
Now all you need is a truck to go with it. I’ll be building the AMT Kenworth W925 to go with the AMT Logging Trailer.
A excellent build mate, well done, I hope you are keeping safe and well
Thanks, you too!
Super nice job there Chris you really nailed the details to this build thanks for sharing I always anticipate your next build.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That turned out absolutely fantastic !!!
I must get this kit now !!!
Thanks a lot! Happy Thanksgiving!
the drill trick to make the tires look like they are being used, very good idea
This makes me want to get back into building model semis, and trailers again. Maybe someday. This is awesome!
Don't wait, get back in and enjoy your hobby again!
I built exact same low boy trailer back in the late 80's as a teenager AND still have it !!
I built the dozer in the mid to late 70’s. Of all the plastic models I built in the 70’s, the dozer was always my favorite! Wish I knew what happened to it! Oh well, I’m retired, so better go get this two build kit and get to work!

I built that truck and weathered it for a review already. Thanks!
Really cool build. The detail of the dried caked on mud and the oil stains are a very nice touch.
Thank you very much!
Now you need a Universal Truck to tow it

Nice model like the weathering
I'm glad you like it!
Great work weathering the bed of the trailer Chris. Looks fantastically real.

Looks great pulled these trailers very realistic they take a beating one sweet build. They did kit the cement mixer truck in the 80.s buy ertle need it back
Had a couple of AMT D8H model kits over the years , and Operated pretty much a Dozen different real 8H’s over the years 👌🏻😎
Very cool!
Awesome job Chris! Currently working on the exact same kit. I love your weathering techniques.
Great to hear!
Excellent build & presentation Chris!!
Thank you kindly!
great work!...hey,those unused business logos are great to use as sponsor logos if you do anymore "Saturday Night Specials" stock cars down the road!

Thanks for the build review Chris and yet another reason to get a second dozer kit!
No problem 👍

Don't forget to chain the load down. Haul safely!
Need to add some tie down chains laid out on the upper deck, also some guard rails to wrap around the end bits on the blade.
It's an out of box review. Anything I'd add and folks would scream it wasn't in their box when they bought it.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome build, just needs a few rocks and bits of mud that has dropped off the bulldozer ;-)
Thanks!
I was going to try to get this yesterday
