surtr is the most extreme utility man you can bring, it is the operator you use when the game throws you bullshit waves while giving you no time to prepare. that's why she is still so strong, like who else you gonna use? ntr knight? thats one target with 1 tile of range.

The boss only comes with the final wave yes. But you aren't really meant to fight them together with the wave, unless you're running hyper optimized and broken strats like this one You're meant to defeat all the regular enemies first with one team, and then use another dedicated team just for the boss in the next act, since the regular enemies will only respawn at the start of a new day.

It's the weather, on top right of node desc. If it stun it's likely a heatwave, for me it's either drought or sandstorm.
