I think Silverstone is a great track to test the limits of the car, I hope he does well from now on
I'd say this format suits Ricciardo better as it relies more on raw pace, and as a newcomer, he doesn't know how to set the car up quite right yet. Norris doesn't have enough time to find his perfect setup, so it's super close and I'm super happy.
the camera work for this qualifying was brilliant, really helped show the real speed and feel of the cars

Kenny Phillips people who are casual fans or fans of other categories don’t fully get just how different in performance that F1 cars can be. Can only get so much out of someone when a car is 1.5-2 seconds per lap slower on a 90 second lap as a baseline

arguably the best qualifier on the grid, it would be very interesting to see him compete with max on all the qualis, races and championship if he gets to learn the merc the way he learned williams and then there's also lewis who wouldn't back off, so it could be 2016 all over again, but with max in the mix, possibly even perez norris and some other drivers. its gonna be new regulations and cars, so the grid might get scrambled up a bit

Sure he lacks experience in front, compared to Lewis, but he still gets some battles with other great drivers like kimi seb fernando on the back. He'll adapt quickly imo, he's been outdriving his machine this whole season

So, when he got pole in Baku with 2 long straight (2 km indeed), everyone in Italy asking,"Can Ferrari win with engine LESS 25 HP to Mercedes (it means Mercedes, McLaren, Williams and Aston Martin)??" The answer is NO. So, what Leclerc did in Silverstone is HIS EFFORT, his skill. Because in paper, Ferrari will fail in French, Silverstone and Japan GP where High speed corner and straight exist. In this case, Russel work is his car work. Not surprise at all, someone whom we need to asking is LATIFI. Why he is SLEEPING in anywhere?

I must admit, it is almost impossible for Ferrari to be in P4 in Silverstone. But Charles made it. Great job for him.
@@jarijaridewa but Carlos finished P5 and P6 in Austria despite the fact it’s mostly straights. Some slow corners yes but you’d expect the straight line speed deficit to show a bit more.

I knew Lewis is not gonna lose here. Not in his home court. That's the Lewis we all know and love.
When you see Lewis shaking with emotion, losing voice, and Bono screaming like there's no tomorrow, you realise how much this means to them. Also, big cheers for Lewis' work ethic, always pushing the team, going to the simulator which he normally hates, no effort is too big. They love winning, and that is why they are champions.

That was some intense qualifying. When Lewis nearly lost it in the final lap, it just added to the drama. Also glad to see Riccardo get his act together in quali. Only 2 one thousands behind Norris.

@@lengmuzik6333 i think based on the downforce merc were using till now. Today they have slightly trimmed their rear wing and look how they flew. Also the upgrades helped them to afford the trimming of rear wing which needed to be like a barn door till now.

This has been one of the most intense qualifying sessions of the season. Can't wait to see this race. Lewis is definitely hungry for a home victory, but we'll see if Max has anything to say about it when it's go-time.

One of the most intense qualifying sessions that doesn't set the grid. For me, the jury is still out in how I feel about this format. ie: If Lewis Doesn't get pole because a backmarker crashes into him. That will kind of ruin the idea of Qualifying.

And I was convinced I was winning, even when Max was seemingly increasing his lead. It's a farce. The final result is already known upfront.
