So Simple in clean forward is Sora's feelings for Kairi, but backward it's Riku being seduced by Darkness. Sanctuary forward is about Roxas sleeping in Sora to become whole. while Backward it's about Riku regretting he let the Darkness take him? Hmmm intresting, so both songs forward are about Sora's love and backwards Riku's journey to except Sora's friendship. man, with my buddy going to prison...Kingdom Hearts is hitting me more and more. Eppecially with all I go through.
Hikaru was just a song chosen from utada album. Idk how much merit to life the original kingdom hearts has. Good question for squaresoft and disney..enix
guys...this is something called the framing effect. because we see the lyrics on screen, its easy to say "yeah, that gibberish sounds like lyrics" but lets be honest: without lyrics, this wouldnt make nearly as much sense. there are a few sentences that sound real, but most dont
Wasn't Utada Hikaru asked to make a song that was about Sora playing forwards but Rikue's perspective backwards? Maybe that was for Passion and maybe that's just gossip.
If I'm correct, this song- reversed, at least- tells the story of Riku. Judging by the start, 'Help me discard this bond' must mean something along the lines of him not wanting to be close to Sora and Kairi due to him turning to darkness, and the other lines consisting of 'sweet love' and '10 year old hero', mostly likely center towards Kairi (Seeing as one could easily tell that both Riku and Sora both have feelings for her), and Sora (As him being ten years old in the first game makes sense. Then, we move on to this 'Room'... Obviously, even the video states this well.. They're talking of Namine, and how each and every one of Sora's adventure's seem to be drawn, and placed on the wall. And it makes even more sense when it says 'Suddenly it's a real planet'. There are the other lyrics, which I'd be more than happy to dissect, but... I'd rather not make this longer than it already is. Though, if anyone wants me to try my hand at one...
Well, let's see... The next lyric that caught my interest was "Yeah see where Riku walks moving, He won't stop moving now". I believe that has something to do with KH 2, in that he ended up trying to stay one step ahead of Sora in order to help him. "Wasn't he in the Darkness?" It's quite obvious that this has something to deal with Riku being forced to stay beyond the door to the Realm of Darkness, of course. "Oh course, he is evil"... KH 1 has a lot to tie in with this. This is because he Is considered evil in that game (At least, by most. I personally think he was just desperate, and was manipulated). "I always thought I had your natural talent" Ohhh, don't tell me you don't get this one. This one has more emphasis towards the Keyblade than Riku, but it does tie in with his story. You see, In the games, it mentions that Riku was actually the first chosen to wield the Keyblade, but since he allowed darkness into him, it moved down the list. Then, after that, Sora was given it. "Is it hard to be him?" Well... This is a question worth answering: Yes. I mean, think about it. He not only was manipulated, and hates himself because of the shit he's done, but now, because of this, he fights a constant battle against Ansem... However, instead of a battle of body, it's a battle of the mind. Something he's never really done yet. "See it really is them". This might actually be a though Riku had... Perhaps he was surprised to run into Kairi and Sora? "Oh he miss back home" This is almost a universal lyric, as Riku and Sora haven't been back on Destiny Islands in... Years, most likely. By the start of KH 2, Riku is extremely homesick, more so than Sora (As he was asleep most of the time). ... And that's all I really got.
I love the English, Japanese, and reversed version of Simple and Clean and Sanctuary. I never knew I could enjoy songs in so many different versions lol
Simple and Clean was written for Kingdom Hearts 1, and yet when reversed, it seems like it talks about events that won't happen until Chain of Memories or even Birth By Sleep! That is freaking mind blowing!!!
Wow, haha. I love this song...introduced me to Hikki and all her magical music. Her music is so good it even makes sense backwards. She did make parts of Passion backward.
A ten year old hero. Not literally a hero who's 10 years old, but a hero from 10 years past. Terra, who performed the ritual on Riku 10 years prior. Wow.
Am I the only one who thinks this isn't the lyrics for it being reversed and/or this is just a coincidence it sounds like this? The lyrics don't add up and the uploaded could've supplemented the sound with the words. I really don't think Nomura or Hikari meant it to sound like this if this is the lyrics and people are reading too much into it.
It would made more sense if "ten year old who will send ya a hero" was "ten years ago who will send ya a hero" because Sora was the hero and also Riku and Kairi, successor of Ven, Aqua and Terra because they were lost so Sora, Riku and Kairi can finish their (Wayfabder trio's) job.
It's so weird, it actually sounds like it's talking about Riku. Sanctuary does this, too... It also sounds like it's releasing crap tons of spoilers. This song was used in the first game. So, if it's listened to backwards, the audience would get mixed feelings and think about Riku, but also find a deeper meaning to it.
10 year old will send ya a hero? Sorry but I really don't think that'd be part of the reversed song if square enix intended on reverse lyrics. Does sound like that though.
i started with aqua, and so far, i'm preferring her when it comes to commands. i liked her story too. terra's great, but i miss having the double jump ability and cartwheels... :( i haven't gotten to ven's story yet. i'm stuck on fighting master eracus. i'm sure you'll get it eventually. just go to different worlds, leveling up and melding commands, or strategize a little better and you'll get it eventually. ^^
A lot of this is very much a stretch. Especially "help me discard this bond", I hardly hear that at all. In Sanctuary it's clear there was meant to be a reversed meaning because the parts of the song actually were reversed when played forward
Same! Back before even BBS came out and all we had was that Kh2 Final Mix trailer, which we didn't even get in the United States! And you have a Rena profile pic, so this is a double dose of nostalgia for me haha!

+Paolo Andreoli If you know what i mean... but this seems to be a little force compared to Sanctuary... Anyway i think the English version is made for the game, and there should be no kind of things related to Kingdom Hearts in the Japanese version.
Help me escape fun Ohhhh all I need right now is utter sweet love 10 year old was sendin ya a hero And what if what if endlessly In room suddenly its a real planet oh In roooom Hug it and lets go Stay, stay and sleep Feel him moving every night - e and Wasnt he the devil we missed Of course, he is evil seeth Yes see free he was moving He wont call me anymore.
I really doubt Utada Hikaru did the difficult task of making a song that can be played foward and backward. Even though she did use that in Sanctuary for that one line, it was more of aesthetic
No..reversing the song and discovering the lyrics of it is all pure fanmade if you ask me...Its all about INTERPRETATION!! Looks like you cant really think out of the box right? And you have a lack of interpretation if we're talking about the story of Kingdom Hearts -.-'' Wasn't he in the darkness? I need to finish your note? You still wont get it memorized hmm??
Forward: Sora's Story
Backwards: Riku's Story
I can see that.
Some of it is about Kairi
Septic Art still kind of confusing tho
It's like that for Sanctuary in Kingdom Hearts 2 also! I wonder if you play the game backwards?..........
I wanted to know that ever since I saw this video lol
even in reversed this song still catchy

boohoo for you
You just made everything make sense
emotrainer4444 i agree
But backwards it's garbled nonsense that just barely sounds like words that your brain puts together.
+Autistic Aniki Lmao then how am I listening to it right now without looking at the video, yet still able to know the exact words being said?
"running endlessly in a room" makes me think about chain of memories
Or Ventus
The reversed lyrics make more sense with the series than the actual song played normally.
Hikaru was just a song chosen from utada album. Idk how much merit to life the original kingdom hearts has. Good question for squaresoft and disney..enix
thats because it doesnt have reversed lyrics and you just projected them
guys...this is something called the framing effect. because we see the lyrics on screen, its easy to say "yeah, that gibberish sounds like lyrics" but lets be honest: without lyrics, this wouldnt make nearly as much sense. there are a few sentences that sound real, but most dont

Wasn't Utada Hikaru asked to make a song that was about Sora playing forwards but Rikue's perspective backwards? Maybe that was for Passion and maybe that's just gossip.
Most makes sense
isnt that sanctuary?
Thats not true.lol theres words you can actually here and understand.
The "sit down and sleep" part gets me...I totally hear that and it sounds beautiful too.
the subtitles make you hear it, dummy
Riku: How am I supposed to face them
Sora:like this 😋
Like if you know which kh this is from
kh2
Kingdom Hearts 2 at the world that never was
Kh2 ik because I just finished cuz it was kinda hard beating Roxas
@@knightkxnoi u have no idea
KH2 in the world that never was, when Riku finally have his original body
The only problem I have with this is the fact that none of them are ten years old.
Fair enough
Obviously not ten
It would be quite the stretch to say that the year old could be referring to the time in between Kh and BBS.
Maybe the ten years thing is the time gap between KH1 and BBS since there's like ten years between the two games (I think)
I was 10 when I got the game and beat it. Could it be about the player??? (I'm joking but I still think that's a neat idea lol)
Hearing this and the reversed sanctuary just made me love this game a lot more than i already do
I'll always love this video. Shows deeper meaning of Riku and the bond he shares with Sora and Kairi. ❤️
These lyrics sorta summarized KH1 and KH2.
And a bit of CoM
+amr mohamed Sanctuary is about CoM
See eth.
@@pastelmoon4534its supposed to be "Seethe" which means "Filled with intense but unexpressed anger."

ZODDism I think that he was supposed to be 10 in the first game butt changed it because of his more murture aditude
Will Kelty no that's wrong both sora and kairi are 14
I love the English, Japanese, and reversed version of Simple and Clean and Sanctuary. I never knew I could enjoy songs in so many different versions lol
you should listen it in spanish... so beautiful
@@Sherry-i2vthey have Spanish versions?
backwards its pretty sad :
even reversed it still sounds sweet and beautiful
1:12 to 1:16 sounds so beautiful 💔 and the little flashback of Riku and Sora just adds to the feels for me. 😭

that actually sums it all up and this is about Riku, Kairi, Sora, Heartless, and Ansem

Chain of Memories
Simple and Clean was written for Kingdom Hearts 1, and yet when reversed, it seems like it talks about events that won't happen until Chain of Memories or even Birth By Sleep! That is freaking mind blowing!!!
i dont think the reversed version means anything, most of the interpretations of the reversed lyrics are a stretch.
Weird how this fits perfectly with the video even reversed.
he edited the video to fit the lyrics.

+yes18iscool My bad. Didn't bother to check.
Okay, I see that is edited now. Actually I do not even remember posting this comment lol
Well actually sqare Eniqox wanted to do this and Sony with Lenovo so yea duh of course their that dam technical
It’s actually catchy in its own way backwards
Wow some lines sound weird, but some sound right, like sit down and sleep and of course he is evil
What is this complex and dirty song...?
Seeing Sora and Kairi dance together warms my heart, ah..young love
it's funny because in any other context youd be a pedo
"Is it hard to be him ?"
Huh the reversed make much more sense and contains the plot too
Right?
Soran Kuchiki Cool
cammie davis I don't get it cri
Cammie Davis who would've thought
any song in reversed has hidden sense.
and this song in reversed should be called hard and dirty.
wouldnt it be difficult and dirty?
difficult or hard does not matter.
Technically, it'd be "Complex and Dirty", since "complex" and "simple" are antonyms....
I always thought Simple and Clean was Sora's point of view
I was looking for this one for the longest! cuz dizydaisy's interpretation made the most sense to me
Wow, haha. I love this song...introduced me to Hikki and all her magical music. Her music is so good it even makes sense backwards. She did make parts of Passion backward.
I kept my shit together until Roxas and Axel scene...Damnit.
A ten year old hero. Not literally a hero who's 10 years old, but a hero from 10 years past. Terra, who performed the ritual on Riku 10 years prior. Wow.
Came back and it still here. I love it as always.
Why are there so many reversed vocals hidden inside Kingdom hearts songs? Were they trying to leave secret messages for fans to find?
This sounds way less intentional than Sanctuary but it's still cool
I love how the meaning to the song forwards is about not wanting a marriage... backwards makes sense with this meaning... sorta
Still here damn
It actually sounds really good
i think its crazy how when reversed the song mentions Riku
This is an odd bop, not gonna lie
so many scenes I have either never seen or don't remember
Jackson Brooks if u wanna refresh on the series they made an HD remake of all the games on ps4 in one disc
Congrats for not insulting him and forcing hatred. People like you make RUclips a better website.
Good song even in reverse.

Well this one is the most right the lyrics are right. Maybe its how it sounds that inspires people doing this goodbye forever
I can't believe .. Kairi?
Asuna Yuuki yeah?
It's almost spooky...yet cool at the same time!
tht was frickin awesome dude!
For some reason I actually prefer the reversed Sanctuary over the reversed Simple & Clean. O -o
Maybe because reverse sanctuary actually has a backwards, meaning, nothing in this video seemed clear like in that, it sounded like guess work to me
Sanctuary had no backwards meaning
It does, the line I need for affection than you’ll know is intentional, I don’t know what for tho XD
It's talking about Chain of Memories. Mind blown.
Running endlessly in a room makes you want to cry
I love more simple & clean reversed than normal
sora and riku massaging each other?....i don't know how you came to that conclusion...
this song is one of the few reversed songs that are still beautiful wtf
you should listen to Your Blood by Aurora in reverse... trust me the harmonies in reverse is so pretty

sora is 14 in KH1 :U
BBS Takes place 10 years before Kingdom Hearts 1, That part of the song is based on the need of a hero to fight Xehanort's legacy

Overlord Vegeta what u mean forced these aren't the real lyrics 😩
Don't ask my name yeah, all. Not a single sentence was understandable unlike KH2's song.
Qukwa they meant it was planned
As are most "lyrics" to music played backwards. Like if this was intentionally back masked it would be way more popular.
I think its more like "Help me escape these bonds".
I still shed a tear when it's backwards
This is amazing...I think they should do this for when they make a videogame about the Keyblade Wars.
its surprising that the reversed version actually has real words, and it kinda sounds good too :D
Omg i love the part when its saying Riku is EVIL >:D its cool how they linked it backwards to the game ^3^

The backwards lyrics make so much sense!

we have found that more weak have won (Has not)
