Nurse sharks have strong cheeck muscles, and they use them to pump water over their gills. This type of breathing is called buccal pumping.Tigers, bulls, and nurse sharks have two mechanisms for breathing, buccal breathing and ram breathing. Ram breathing is when the sharks always need to swim to pass water through their gills. These sharks can switch between buccal breathing and ram breathing. Some sharks can only breathe when they swim, so they always need to swim to breath, like great whites!

@LegacyTV901 GW's are amazing sharks. They're perfect at what they do as an apex predator, and that is killing! People really have such a bad outlook on them because of the movie JAW'S! Worldwide, all the sharks combined kill less than 10 people a year! GW'S have killed less than 340 since reliable records were kept in the 1800,s till now, yet over 150 million sharks die each yr for shark fin soup! I'd have to say I'd feel less threatened swimming in the water with GW sharks than swimming with other people! Humans kill everything. One person dies, and they'd just assume to cull all the seals and sharks!

Cruise ship dock went missing because of Hugo, and very few hotels were operating, so there was no tourism. Ahhhh! Anyway, I'm a certified diver and we would go diving as often as we could. The Gonch and Spider crab sounds delicious but as a black man I can't be jumping in large bodies of water like that, I have Thalassaphobia, mainly because of inherited trauma, my ancestors were forced to come to ameri.k.k.k.a on boats that colonizers named Jesus, we were naked and so close on top of each other that we were menstruating on top of each other, chiting and peeing on one another, vomiting on one another, so naturally a lot of us got sick and passed on, but a lot of us jumped into the ocean and drowned, or got eaten by God knows what. My point in saying this is because most Black people can actually swim well like me, we only like pools tho. Most Black people will say there scared of large bodies of water but not understanding why. It's inherited Trauma. Another great reason why we're going to get reparations❤!
