- You have watched the video of my Business Class flight in Qatar Airway´s Dreamliner. Now _I had an opportunity to fly and compare Qatar Airways 5 Star Business Class in both the brand new A350 and 787, This video covers the A350 Business Class flight Frankfurt - Doha.

Homer's taking it up a notch by measuring sound decibels and interior dimensions. Love it! Looks like an outstanding product too. I also love that reverse herringbone J class.

Superb homer! I've flown in almost every different plane operated by Qatar, Emirates but have yet to experience the A350. I must say it looks like a wonderful and luxurious relaxing experience. Now I can't wait for part two of your brilliant flight report and comparison with the A380.

A truly excellent video Homer. I'm not surprised by its immidate viewership, 175 likes and no dislikes that your viewers know whats good! It's so great to watch such an in-depth review on a brand new aircraft like the A350. And also wonderful to hear your commentary, which makes a generally boring subject like aviation fun and informative. You take it to the extreme, even measuring onboard with a tape measurer, its fantastic. :D You know just how to construct the perfect trip report, and make those 20 minutes fly by. Wenn Du wirklich irgendwo "mitfliegen" und "straightforward" flight reporting erleben möchtest..und Zeit hast - schau Dir mal die Videos von mabuse8360 an..hat gerade neue aufgeladen..da flieg ich selbst immer wieder gerne mit.

Homer. What a great video. Love that you’re speaking again! When you spoke in the lounge, do people look at you? The seat on the aircraft is phenomenal. It’s like a first class seat. The buzzing was quite loud in the A350 during take off. The champagne collection looked excellent. Billecart-Salmon is a great champagne. It seemed that the food was excellent, homer. I enjoyed how you had the flight attending on camera, in the classic homer fashion. The economy class PTV screens were huge! I would have been shocked if they had the Billcart-Salmon in economy though! Did you sleep in the seats, homer? How was sleeping in those seats? What did you think of the pillow attached to the seat? What a great video, homer!
sfflyer123 Thank you so much my friend..always a priviledge to hear from you:) Yess..we will see when we compare the buzzing to the 787..but it definitely seemed louder than on an A380. Champagne in Economy is Jacquard,,I think she showed the bottle. Speaking in hte loung was not a problem, as I did not speak up and spoke close to the micro. Sleeping was excellent, on both the 787 and the A350..I never slept so easily and comfortably on a plane. Pillows i usually put into my back:) The seats are the by now best practice in Business Class: the reversed herring bone, and I refuse to fly airlines which do not offer this configuration. The old herringbone was a terrible mistake and airlines like CX are now turning their seats to make them reverse herring bones. When shall we have a beer in Germany?

In the same way as your video article on Finnair suggested that there must be better ways to travel - this one for Qatar Airways SCREAMS (quietly of course) GOOD Comfort, GOOD Food and Drink and Excellent Service.
I will show your video to my wife and as I see the connections from BRU - BKK are good - it could be Qatar Airways for Christmas.

+Christopher Hill Thank you very much! Qatar is definitely my recommendation..but of course Finnair has sometimes great prices to BKK and if you catch their new A350 on a good business class price to BKK it might be good experience as well.
Ich kann es ja kaum erwarten mit dem A350 und Qatar zu fliegen! Mich persönlich interessieren, wenngleich vielleicht nicht andere, insbesondere die Unterschiede zum Dreamliner. Die Bar hat Qatar ja ähnlich aufgebaut, dennoch die vielen Feinheiten, die sich auch im Flug und Ablauf zeigen... Tolles Video, weißt ja :-)
Danke hoffe Du wirst einen tollen Flug haben! Die Unterschiede sind klein, aber es gibt sie. ZB der Eingangsbereich mit dem Dome im A350. Andererseits hat der 787 Toiletten mit Fenster und Blick auf die Turbine. Die hinteren Sitzreihen in Business im A350 sind wesentlich besser. Dann natürlich die Fenster..Du wirst Einiges finden:))
PS: wann gehts denn los?? freu mich auf Dein Video!

Good on you Homer. Another five star review. The airlines should be giving you free tickets. Of all the the reviews on you tubes, yours are the best. because of the personel commentry.! look forward to your futures videos. As an Australian, I would be very interested if you did a review of the Qantas first/Business class product. maybe you can use your miles or something. The QF A380 service from London to Dubai may be an option, although a little out of your way. As QF is a partner with Emirates, you may be able to use miles. As you are a non Australian I would be very interested to see your opinion of the QF product in your usual pragmatic and unbiased manner!!! Cheers

I was in this lounge a month ago, I agree it's a great lounge, not as roomy as the LH lounge but for a maple leaf lounge it is far superior than the ones in Canada. also, great video!
canadiantree2000 I think it is superior to the LH lounge, in particular at lunch time..unfortunately, the wine selection had dramatically deteriorated when I was there..no Canadian wines anymore..very cheap european wines instead..

Is there anything one can say about this? Well the only thing I can think of is that Mr Homer just out did...... Mr Homer! As usual another fantastic trip report that is going the extra mile. The man who invented the rotating plate maneuver has just invented the yellow tape test! What will he do next?!?!?!? With real and useful information such as how quiet and spacious the plane is, I really look forward to Part II as I am truly curious in seeing whether or not the A350 is better than the 787, though I hope it is the A350 :)

Homie takes a neutral stance...doesn't want to piss-off either airline. Here's an original idea, be a man and make the decision for yourself...they're both great airlines and First Class will be fine in either. Why not just choose based on which has the better flight schedule and price?

Those digital "seat belt fastened" signs. Are those exclusive to the A350? I have never seen that before.

I remember the Dreamliner video, the B787 is definitely smaller but has features which seem to add much more value and usability to a traveller in flight. This one looks and feels like a more modernly styled A330 which might be slightly wider. I strongly believe that its not going to last much longer after the launch of the 777X which it is supposed to rival.
