I really enjoyed the boss, the moves felt doable but still dangerous thanks to madness buildup. Only critique is that he’s pretty easy to cheese with pots, in a future update if that’s something youd wanna change maybe a quicker ranged poke move wouldn’t be amiss? Something a lil faster and less damaging than the frenzy nuke.

The new boss does have a nice moveset, but the only thing he lacks is gap closers, since he doesn't move forward a lot when doing his combos. Otherwise, you did a great job!! Edit: he only lacks gap closers in his second phase, in his first phase he does chase you down when attacking
The second part of the melee spell is that when you trigger madness on yourself, it gives you a secondary buff. So you have to let madness build up to use the full effect.
I'm currently doing a Convergence run with the Dreadnought class, using body buffs from the Beast Clergyman and Golden Order Fundamentalist, no attack spells allowed, pure melee, and I'm having the time of my life. My very first run with this mod was with Flame of Frenzy and now I'm kind of wishing I had waited for this update because they outdid themselves again. I'm planning on following their Patreon in the new year.
@@Lunaraia I know, drop rate is abysmal. I’m pretty much the same, only got it once randomly and had to farm it extensively for my other two characters
Personally, I hope you keep doing these. They are very enjoyable to watch, and there is so much more to explore if you open yourself up to cross-class spell combinations, even beyond the massive updates the mod is still getting. Definitely do all your other ideas though; I don't mean to stifle creativity.

Madness actually being useful is such a fantastic improvement. Plus the Nomad's Kilij is absolutely ridiculous. I love it. I'd even go so far as to say it might be the most powerful weapon in the whole mod.
Glad to know the game gets such refreshing content. I played it once on xbox after launch, then changed my platform to PC and just got it again yesterday on steam. Gonna play the vanilla game at least one more time and go looking for mods.

I love the Kilij. It is so ridiculous when you can get off the ash so it kind of turned boss fights into puzzles where you were always looking for big enough windows to use it without getting gibbed right after. It's probably less of a challenge if you are good, but I am not. Madness was my first Convergence class and I always felt a little underpowered until I got the Kilij and figured out how absurd the eye spell's posture damage was. I'm tempted to do it again just for the Chosen fight, but it doesn't seem like much else was changed so it might feel pretty samey. Plus sewer Mohg is for some reason the hardest boss in the game for me. I don't know why, but he just wrecks me.
5:05, i got a pa5 slim with ps+ult for a year and i immediately bought elden ring. I beat it over 20 times on my xbox one but when i booted it up on my ps5 the graphics were beautiful

Wow that disclaimer at 52 minute mark is kind of a glimpse into what will be happening on screen: MADNESS. Especially the "FROM NOW ON" part. That's where the run really starts to spiral out of control :D Getting hold of endgame spells in Convergence is always a massive power trip, and I LOVE it! For example - now I'm playing Nox oracle, and "attunement to black moon" is so good. It's so good in fact, that it manages to make it's drawback - 0.25x all outcoming damage(yes, you deal 4 times less direct damage with this on, both spells and weapons) - and it's still well freakin worth it. 6X THE MANA REGEN, 20HP/S REGEN, DAMAGE RESISTANCE, STAGGER RESISTANCE, 0.5X SPELL MANA COSTS, you are just unstoppable under this. It also looks like you have Hogyoku in your chest, which can't NOT be sick as hell. You basically never run out of hp and fp, and your spells are always ready, and always go off because stagger protection. 4 times less damage ends up not being that much of a problem, because with 6x mana regen and 0.5x mana costs, you can spam things that you didn't even consider spammable, like big, massive, expensive comet spells. And they deal well enough damage to deal with enemies. And against bosses you have quicksilver. Dots don't get quartered by the debuff. So yeah, in Convergence, there is A LOT to experience

I think problem with many sorceries and incantations in this mode is same as elden star. Flat damage resistance to them. For example if incant. deals 1000 damage in 1 projectile and flat resist is 50 then it deals 950 damage to enemy. But if same damage was distributed by 10 projectiles with 100 damage each than each of them will have their damage reduced by 50. So in total spell will deal 50*10=500 damage. So the flare and tendrils are more impressive, because they are less affected by flat resistance. Like those final incantation might have really big damage, but they are stretched so thin, because projectiles are so numerous that it becomes underwhelming.
I think eye of chaos's advantage, is that while you were using it in the boss room, the tree guardians were all getting hit outside the boss room. It's such a massive aoe AND goes through walls, so it's good for clearing massive areas. I'm thinking of how useful it would be for, say the halig tree.
For everyone's knowledge, as long as you have an ash of war and a weapon to put it on you can set the affinity to godslaying for the soul burn. Works better than bleed for killing Greyoll. Probably the easiest thing to do is get the scarab by the 3rd Marika church and slap the aow on a dagger from the twin maiden husks.

Honestly, I really love your content as it is now, feels a lot more genuine and personal than any of the big '$1000 challenge' things, so I really wouldn't recommend going into that style of video making, unless they're few and far between. I'd love to see, if anything, some sort of challenge runs, like limiting yourself to a certain generally underwhelming weapon type or something of the sort.
The plan would be to do the bigger videos far and inbetween to try to hit a mainstream audience per say and still have my challenge runs, duo runs and just playthroughs alongside it. I just wanna make entertaining stuff that people will enjoy!

Heyo, new comer to the channel and ive definitely enjoyed every video so far, ive just been going through every video and ive really enjoyed your content
So here's the whole process, I tried making thumbnails in photoshop then realized I have no artistic skills. Drew a rough draft in my journal of how I wanted the thumbnail to look then paid a couple people from fiverr or twitter to make the thumbnail. Choose which one I liked best, did that a couple of times until I found the person that was consistent enough for me. Now I just pay him to make the thumbnails, communication is key and now we got a good thing going.
When using apocalyptic flames if you hold the ability it will burn longer and also the dark souls shrine u found could have been a starter place for the melee class
I feel like the Convergence devs have played a good deal of Magic the Gathering the way they've thought about the conditional effects of armor and stuff. It feels very MTG mechanics.
There is a skip for the Frenzy Flame parkour Before you drop into it there is a guy playing the violin that if you charge heavy he's poise broken and if you do it right you can do a crit attack in front of him and the game would drop you while doing the animation and drop all the way down
Out of curiosity was the music played during the Shabriri fight the music from in game or was it something that you inserted? I'm genuinely curious because it sounded rather nice.

Dude, that's legitimately an honor by the modmaker/makers for them to add you as an NPC. Bravo for that.

The Octopus Head is an item from the base game, having an abysmally low drop rate from the big octopus enemies.
Even baby octopi can drop them, that's how bad the drop rate is.

You haven't lived until you've used eye of chaos in the middle of one of the castles and watch every enemy in the entire castle get fried.

fun fact touch of frenzy will allow you to absolutely cheese melania. you can just walk up to her and hold it and she cant do anything
