Thanks for the video, Alex. Personal anecdote: I have 9s in my collection that I prefer over 10s of the same card. Grading is subjective and I've noticed PSA misses a lot of little surface blemishes of modern cards because the texturing is so difficult to pick up on. So what I would consider a 9 is given a 10 while a card that is moderately off-centered is given a 9 or even an 8 despite having perfect surface quality with no edge or corner wear.
Love the updated video. I am mainly sealed. But I like to flip just for fun. Havre has been doing well with 10s, but I am going to check out some 9s!
Great video! It really does depend on the card for me as to whether I go for a 10 or 9, although I do tend to stick with 9's.
Side note, if in general 9's outperform 10's (I don't have the data to know if this is true or not), I wonder if we'll see a shift where the gap between 9's and 10's starts to decrease as more people move into psa 9 cards, thus potentially making psa 10's the better play. This would be similar to when ETB's used to outperform booster boxes as they weren't as sought after.

I’ve been cleaning up regrading 9/9.5 especially when they have sub grades and sending them to psa. It takes a lot of time searching eBay hoping for good enough pictures but when you hit it’s such a great feeling.
GL peeps. I’ve been looking at the 9s for the older cards recently that I want to add to my collection due to the wide price margine but the quality between the 9 and 10 is minuscule.
This is really useful info Alex. Before your first video on this I would have assumed 10’s are always a better investment. I appreciate the encourage to think for myself for each card.

Outside of just value, I really think most 9s are 99% of the viewing quality in comparison to 10s. Especially if you are buying a newer cert 9 compared to an older cert 10. 9s are amazing and I'm glad you are pointing out the value they have.
I agree. And for me, I value the front quality of a card over the back. If the front is perfect but the back has a tiny scratch or white spot, I truly don't mind.

I've just been purchasing PSA 9s of cards I want since my risk tolerance isn't as high. I'd rather miss out on potential PSA 10 price spikes rather than suffer PSA 10 significant decrease in value. Been working for me so far.

PSA videos are interesting to me because over here in europe especially in germany, the PSA market is really small. I'm wondering if there is just no demand or no supply.

True collectors and investors aren’t passing up the prices for PSA 9’s right now. Adding 9’s are where the true value in your collection/portfolio starts.
There’s virtually ZERO downside risk. Mint cards in the most desirable slabs on the market.
I’ve been adding Tag Team 9’s, Rainbow 9’s, alt art 9’s from SWSH, vintage Japanese 9’s, and Rainbow rare GX 9’s.
All fan favorite Pokémon for DIRT cheap.
It’s actually criminal how cheap some of these cards are.
People are selling 9’s as if they’re garbage right now. Screaming buying opportunity imo.
