- This was originally going to be a fully colored PMV but time says no!! I truly wanted to include at least one swedish song in her story and this is my favorite lullaby + a fond memory of my childhood so I couldn't resist using it!
Very beautiful and somber; I felt it would be perfect to represent the heartbreaking continuity throughout the 3 generations.
The english translation may be a bit grammatically strange but I wanted to be as true as possible to the actual song lyrics c,: And yes, I am swedish: I speak swedish, english, nothing else~

I really loved the subtle differences between Weepingwind and Crowsong's 'family portraits' Weeping as a kit is smiling and sat close to her mother and mate, whilst Crow as a kit has a more serious expression and her mother and father are sat quite a ways from their kit. It really gets the point across just how different their childhoods are, that was such a nice little detail
Yeah But its a bit sad
I do not know much about these characters, but as someone who's more in Crow's position, I find it thematic that the later part of the folk song is where Crow shows up.
While the first part asks who can sail and row without the the needed resources, the later part sings that the person can, which is quite common amongst children of... detached households as they have to rely far more on themselves in the absence of perennial love, care, and affection.
But of course, we all need friends. The difference comes in the way we cry about it. Some people cry as they can't imagine being without someone. Others cry because they don't want to be on their own again...
It makes me sad. Every time I review it, it makes my heart sad

not to mention went Omen passed, Crow was there for her mother as she mourned the loss of Omen as well. when Weeping died however, no one was there for Crow...she cried alone...
I’ve watched this over quite a few times now but I just realized how the lyrics correlate to Weepingwind and Crowsong themselves. “I can sail without wind”, for example, represents how Crowpaw never had that unconditional familial love growing up in her Clan. However, the neglect didn’t stop her from mourning her mother’s loss, “But not part from the friend of mine without shedding tears”. Such beautiful subtlety as such an accurate representation of that of parental neglect/abuse. Absolutely phenomenal.
Swedish is such a beautiful language.

I actually started tearing up at this…and that’s a very rare thing when it comes to anything like this. But the amount of storytelling you managed to put within 2 minutes is just breathtaking. The grief that had been passed down from Omensky through her daughter to her grandchild…the tears and heartache Weepingwind endured throughout her remaining years, wishing she could have been for Crowsong what her mother had been for her…there’s so much to take in within this AMV. And you expressed all of that within such little time! I’m amazed by the things you do, Louixie, and you’ll always inspire me through your beautiful work. Thank you for all you do

I wondered why this song was so familiar to me but then I remembered my mom used to sing it to me as a child. In Norwegian however not in swedish. This is so beautiful and such a cinematic masterpiece.
I was ready for pain and I am HERE. It's so lovely to see more non English songs used for animation, and the way parallels are drawn between the two, the LINES and shading it's all so beautiful! Absolutely love the outro too, it gives a very personal touch to the world and song!
AAA LOU!!!! THIS CAME OUT SO GOOOD!! Im gonna gush about this for a second....I really REALLY love the sketchy/lineart style with and blocky shading, again, it works SO well for this song and more solem atmosphere that you perfectly convey. Also even thought I cant speak/understand Swedish I always love when you use more foreign songs! Youre able to communicate their impact SO well even to those who cant understand the lyrics.
I also admire your 'show don't tell' ability SO much..even without reading the description or knowing backstories you're able to perfectly understand whats going on here!!! Even subtle body language, expressions, etc etc communicate so much! Even though you didn't have all the time you wanted to work on this quality and attention to detail STILL shines through amazingly!!!! Its so admirable how you continuously go above and beyond every time

oh my god... poor weepingwing, and crowsong too, i believe some of crow's madness was weepin's fault, she should have paid more attention to crow, if only Omensky had lived longer some things could be changed.

Så vackert! I love the way you draw fur, Louixie. And eyes! The emotions come out really well.
It's kind of surprising that this is a song for children, considering the low vibe and lyrics. But even as a child myself I appreciated darker-sounding music and stories. Like the old series Animals of Farthing Woods. I loved it as a kid, despite the tragic animal deaths. Fox was always my favorite.

It hurts seeing Weepingwind grieving with her daughter at her side, while Crowsong is left alone. I remember her toyhouse saying she’d like to have a family.
You really have gift for packing an insane amount of emotion into such simple videos!
I don’t need to know what they’re singing to know what hardships Crowsong faced. It’s really beautiful, and the storytelling in it is really quite incredible. The animation was beautiful, as well as the song.

As a swedish person I got really emotional while watching this. This song was a song that was sang to me when I was a small child so it REALLY got to me. Amazing animation and incredible art.

This is absolutely stunning. You truly have a way of bringing your characters to life, even with the seemingly simplest of works. I also ADORE the use of a Swedish song. I think that brings so much more character to the animatic, and makes it feel more authentic. I would love to see more languages used in the art community, especially from the artist's native language.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. You are CRIMINALLY underrated. I mean, this is bordering on mastery. I was very nearly brought to tears in this, which is saying something, as I don't cry very often unless I'm given at least six hours to get invested in the characters. And this animatic did that in under two minutes. You've properly earned yourself a new subscriber, and I hope you earn more.

I love it! It's very interesting to see how one generation changes the dynamic of the family, and yet it still repeats. Both Weepingwind and Crowsong grieve their mothers, yet both had extremely different relationships. Weepingwind grew up with a loving mother, and while Crowsong's mother did love her, she didn't show it as much as Omensky did. And the artwork is stunning as well!

I'm sure I've commented this under a previous post of yours, but I can imagine how upset Weepingwind must have felt up in StarClan, forced to see her daughter spiral downward, unable to do anything, and feeling guilty that she hadn't been there for her. I also was easily able to "continue" this PMV in my head with Dark Forest Crowsong. Here's my little headcanon!
She sat alone, her thoughts heavy on her shoulders. Guilt tugged the strings around her tired heart. "Was it worth it?" She wondered as she gazed at the crimson moon above.
She sensed a light behind her and her eyes widened as a long-lost scent filled her nose. She turned to the familiar feline. "Mom?"
Both cats' eyes held tears and their expressions held guilt and pain. They both knew what they'd done, though they didn't blame the other.
Weepingwind blamed herself for her daughter's bloodshed, having told herself that if she'd shown her daughter love, than maybe her paws would be clean.
The long-furred She-Cat sobbed as she sputtered, "Crowsong, I'm so, so, sor-"
Her daughter cut her mother's words short with an embrace. "Don't apologize, your claws weren't the ones that took lives.". She stepped back, looking her mother clear in the eyes. "I'm here because of the choices I made. I'm here because I've earned my spot. You're in StarClan for the same reason..."
Weepingwind, while slightly relieved her daughter held no anger towards her, still felt pained to see her daughter's bleak surroundings and her heavily scarred pelt. "How much has she gone through?" She wondered.
"Go back to StarClan, mom." Crowsong said sadly. "You shouldn't be worried about me. I've lost that right with my crimes..."
Turning away from her shocked mother, Crowsong walked away, heart tearing into two as she saw the light behind her fade as her mother left.

It's not just the beauty of your works, there's more than just a drawing. There's a world. I'm always so impressed, you don't just draw something, you live it. I think that's one of the neverending reasons for you to be this stunning in what you do. I keep being so impressed with your work and I know that you'll never stop being this good, you're gonna be better and better as you keep working, you're doing it now! Oh my word this is incredible!! It has such a gorgeous melancholy mood that just oozes out of the screen, with the “simple” (in quotation because the drawings are so detailed) black and white art and the somber song. This may be a controversial opinion, but I am honestly glad you didn’t color it- the black and white with unshaded lineart adds to the parallels between the dark Weepingwind and her lighter daughter. Without the visual indication of Crowsong’s “difference” it is even more heartbreaking to watch the grief percolating through this family. And then the end with Omensky singing the lullaby to her sleeping granddaughter… ach the feels. Don’t mind me just gonna go bawl a bit…
Louixie- any songwriter would be honored for you to make a pmv/Amv/animation meme of their song, your art and lore is amazing, the expressions, amazing, and the point that you have villains be villains for a reason- even the Erin’s couldn’t do that! ( no hate to the Erin’s, just saying! ) your such a big inspiration and I hope one day you get a million subscribers.

Gosh, coming back a year later. Really doesn't feel that old. The art and designs are of course beautiful, still amazed at the way you draw tears. The difference between Crowsong and Weepingwind, it's just top notch. This song was something that I didn't actually think of death as a kid, instead it has always meant more for me in comparison to my parents and their divorce, and I remember that you reminded me off this song when you first released this, thank you, so much Louixie, you're insanely talented!
The funny thing is- I have a character of mine that’s an albino crow, she’s called Albinisim. But goes by Albi for short, she also wears two or one regular crow feather on the side of her head, I had this character of mine before I found your channel.

Every animation of yours is so precise!! And I honestly love it without the coloring. It adds up a cool style fitting great with the beautiful swedish song. The story of Weepingwind has left me in pain, it's so sad and I love the detail that Crowsong looks alot like her Grandmother when she was young. Othewise the lineart and everything else is top notch!!

Wowow this is gorgeous louixie!! I love how both characters families contrast with each other but the small details show how different they are [e.g how weeping was more close to get parents, while crow felt distant, neglected perhaps]

One thing I’ve always liked about your characters is how different they are. Even though they are all the same color, you can distinguish them all from each other, not only by appearance, but by personality. This is something I wished the Warriors series did more often, to give all the characters unique and distinguishing personalities. I love your work so much, keep it up!

I don't usually comment on here but I feel the need to point out the ending scene of Omensky with Weepingkit. I feel like it is a parallel to Weepingwind when she is with Crowkit. They appear to be in the same spot of the nursery and have both sung some kind of song to their kits.
