Eh. She didn't have much talent before, to be honest. Her voice was terrible, and you could tell from how they masked her voice. But after 7 years later, she's really changed. Gotta admit, she has an absolutely amazing voice now.
@@MCshadr217maybe but that doesn’t really matter much imo. she was still a 13 year old girl that in no way deserved to be dogpiled while innocently doing something she loved because she wasn’t “good enough” at it. everyone starts somewhere. it’s just that most people’s inexperienced beginnings aren’t shown to millions of people
That wasn't her song. She didn't write it. THANK GOD Honestly, her voice wasn't the problem. The song was HORRIBLY written. The composers were Patrice Wilson and Clarence Jay.
@@dustyandkate7386yeah she wasn’t the problem *at all*. not only was she a kid but all she did was provide vocals, when she has the freedom to make art how she wants as an adult it’s wayyy better. i still can’t believe the internet dogpiled this poor girl because of a song they didn’t like
Why didn't you like the song? Honestly, I don't get people who criticized it. It was *tongue in cheek*, similar to silly songs like "Our House," not intended to be serious lyrics, good grief! I honestly think people who criticized that song didn't realize the lyrics were not intended to be taken literally, and frankly, were not that bright to not realize that. Just unquestioning followers of the herd and mean gang.
Rebecca Black. Proving once again, that using negative comments will just make someone stronger. Cause holy shit, she couldn't sing before, but she sings like crazy now.
she was always good but that company that did her first song Friday screwed her so bad and it was when auto-tune was starting to run rampant and they slapped that crap on her when she never needed it. She has a lot of good albums w/o any auto tune on it.
Ngl as much as I disliked the song, it was the core of so many memes and parodies that did make people laugh, and did bring joy. Glad she stuck with it, through it all.
People are horrible and she SLAYS🔥🔥 She could always sing. Bullies just are bullies and look for any excuses to hurt others, they just refused to see HER as a person and as a singer only because they did not like the song.
After the initial shock wore off I was definitely laughing with her all the way. Most people would have just taken the video down and retreated to their space so whether you like her or not you gotta respect the fact that she kept going.
This IS her natural voice, and it was background voices from the original song. So no, they didn't autotune her. In her original song, they masked her voice, and you can tell. She really couldn't sing all too well at 13, and it was also a time where everyone was trying to follow Justin Bieber at a young age, to make it big. It's a good thing that Rebecca took the time off to improve herself. She sings better than most pop artists these days.
Diddy was like “I forgot to invite her in my party when she was 13 or 14”
Damn
Look at Meghan! She was hypnotized the second Rebecca started singing! Amazing voice.
I feel so uncomfortable watching this knowing what Diddy did.
I’m glad she’s finally getting recognized for her talent. People are rude and cruel, sadly.

I love that she started out as just a kid having fun but now she REALLY can sing!! Amazing!
I do have to admit I wasn't a fan of her song when she was 13 but WOW she improved and pushed thru all the hate I am soooo proud of her

Look at that smile when Meghan says she was a fan of her. Injected by the confidence vaccine.

One of the best comebacks in herstory!!

Love this. She has always been a good singer.

Diddy’s dramatic silence before he spoke was really awkward.

Whats a shame is EVERYONE secretly loved that song.
I'm so glad she finally got recognized for her talent
She's beautiful 😍
Khalid is so gross. He belongs with Diddy. “Bless up”? So gross. 🤮
Chills. Get it girl⭐️⭐️

I love the song Friday we listen to it every Friday ❤❤

When they/them wasn’t a thing yet
It's always been a thing.
LOL Khaled starting they/them pronouns early.
I mean they've been used since like the 14th century, be real.
Wy the sunglasses 😑😑
Because Diddy's a creep.
I like her and no offense but there is lot of autotune here 💀
I laughed at her so bad lol
For what?
playback, really????????
Why'd they have to autotune her naturally beautiful voice
