Is the New Army Painter Warpaints Fanatics Starter Set Any Good???

- I have been an avid user of Army Painter’s Warpaints acrylics, and Speedpaints for quite a while now. They are featured and almost all my videos.
So I was very excited when this new Fanatics line came out. Because I have so many of the current Warpaints bottles, I started out slow by just buying the starter set shown here. In this video, I compare the new Fanatics paints against my tried-and-true workhorse Warpaints to see how they stack up.

Been using more and more Army painter products. I haven used Citadel but their piant pots are horrendous. Used some a few times and they dried out. I even closed them tightly. Never had a real issue with dropper bottles.
I'm using mostly Army green and Uniform Grey for my models. The old range still coverd well. 2 thin coats. I can't wait to try the fanatic versions.
Yes the old range really isn’t that bad. Some colors like ultramarine blue, orc blood and jungle green were flat out terrible, but most of the other warpaints were still good. And they never dried out on me. I still have paints I bought 5 years ago working like new.
Having said that, I haven’t encountered any of the new fanatic paints so far that I didn’t like. They’re all leaps and bounds better in terms of formulation. AP has something good going with the fanatics.

The fanatics look solid across the lineup. At least with this set. Not a bad paint in here. But the old army painter warpaints had good ones and terrible ones (like the ultramarine blue. Yuck). So if you’re looking for a good line of paints go fanatics.
