    The SS34/SX80 will shoot identical speeds as a V3X/P4 at the same poundage on performance, and still have a better "feeling" draw and transition into the valley. Add in the Bowtech tuneability, the adjustable mods, the flip disc, and buy some Lucky stops for it, and you have more adjustability than most other leading manufacturers, and as much as an Elite. It is hard to fault Bowtech with these two offerings.

    I was on the fence between buying this bow and the Athens Archery Vista 35. But this bow has serving separation issues, and NO DEALER WANTS TO TALK ABOUT IT. It was first suspected that it was due to cheap strings, but moreover, the cams eventually cut into your strings. There are a lot of unhappy purchasers, Jeff. This can't be swept under the rug.
    The Athens Archery Vista 35 is a much wiser investment. It does not require a bow press, has a smooth draw, amazing hold and NO resistance at full draw. It is well balanced, shoots 331 fps (at 31.5" setting), and is available in several customizable riser and limb combos. It also costs $100 less than the SS34.
    Bowtech has a lot of disappointed customers right now, and hopefully they'll make things right with those patrons. One shouldn't pay $1,200+ for a bow that eats up your strings. This was left out of your video, but is only fair for the public to know.

    Hi Jeff. Great video on the pluses and minuses of Bowtech's latest sensation. I'm 31.5" draw, and had it on the radar as a 3D choice. But the topic of serving separation with the cams and strings concerns me. What are your unbiased thoughts and findings on this issue? One reviewer (who supposedly put over 150 arrows through) blamed it on poor strings.

      I had surgery on my shoulder and the doctor warned me about bow hunting in general so when I went to get a new bow I was going to get it with 60# limbs and back it off so I wouldn’t rip my shoulder apart. The shop owner handed me a Solution SS and told me to draw it to see how it felt. It was a 70# bow and I drew it with zero issues. This will be my third season hunting with it and I’ve had zero issues.

    • @matthewholmes8638
      @matthewholmes8638 Год назад

      Kinda comparing apples and oranges. They both can tune though. Bowtech has Deadlock which moves the cam over and Elite has S.E.T which changes the angle of the cam but the adjustment is at the limb pocket not at the cam. 2 different ways to get the same result. Elite has more tuneability though. You can adjust letoff from 70%-90% 1% at a time and 1/4 in draw length adjustments.

    Jeff, the BowTech 34SS is so smooth because it is so slow. 30” draw length at 70lbs can only spit out a 440 grain arrow at 281 fps!?! Common. That’s the trade off. Back the limb bolts out on a V3X 33, or any bow for that matter and things get smooth. No thanks on the BT 34SS.

    • @joegarrigues3697

      My SX80 speed wise, performs exactly like my V3X33 at the same poundage. And it still draws better on a "feel" basis.

    • @Angel.Custodio
      @Angel.Custodio Год назад

      My V3X33 was only 5 fps faster then the SS34 on comfort(475 grain), granted I’m a 27.5”, so maybe the speed differences aren’t that bad at smaller draws, but I find bowtech to be worth the minor speed loss.

    The tuning options are seriously over-rated…..I mean, how often do you really tune your bow? How many people worried about tunability actually know how to tune their bow? How it holds and shoots matters most…..followed by how it draws. None of the flagship bows are hard to tune.

It didn't seem to fit your work, which I'm relatively familiar with and, though, it seemed unnecessary to me, I haven't decided why you choose the "F" description. Anyway, once past the beginning and resisting the turn off decision, a solid review. Best wishes!
