I have the same 05 dakota and I am so glad I watched the entire video and read the comments. I was concerned about the flickering and other issues. Thanks for answering them. I wanted to mention I used Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish to clean my lenses . It is literally wipe on wait a few minutes and wipe off, no buffing at all. In your video it looked like the led bulbs fixed that issue as well. Thanks again!!
Thank you very much for this video about this . !! I really needed this Info . I now know I have my Headlight Bulbs in Backwards .. I'm new to these Led Bulbs I tried to Install them like other bulbs . Thanks Again ..!!
Had a bulb go out in me after 15 years on my 2007 Dakota and I saw the one torque bolt but couldn’t figure out where the it her two were, you helped me immensely thanks.
Interested in putting these (or other LED headlights in my 2008 Dakota) - do you have "flickering" issues or "bulb out warnings" with these LED headlights without using a capacitor or resistor based additional unit? From what I have learned, it appears that one or the other is necessary for Dodge vehicles, but your video only notes the delayed "turn -off" issue related to what is normally capacitor related voltage bleed off. Please advise - difficult to find definitive answers on this for my 2008. Thanx!
I know what you mean. The newer dodges have a can bus system for the headlights. If you do have the light out warning light in your dakota, I'm assuming these won't work. My 05 doesn't have the same system so I have zero issues....besides the delayed off time.
Curious question I’ve heard of many people getting traffic citations for having led bulbs in older vehicles due to the regulations on them have you had any issues with this with law Enforcement or traffic issues ?
depends on what state you live in. technically anything that isnt factory equipment on your vehicle in some states you can get a ticket for it. i havent had any issues with it. but i know some people have. it depends on the officer. it you're worried about it.... i would recommend staying with factory style lights.
Hey just throwing it out there. If you use the armor all headlight cleaning kit it'll clean your lens very well. As I did on my dakota. Could be a good video to make next
Heck ya. I can look into it. I haven't had very good luck with those products in the past but I can give it a shot. I'm redoing a couple side by sides, I could try it on them as well. 👍 thanks for the idea.

Nice I’m looking for a good set for my 07 Dakota. I would like to see what they like like in the back road!
I actually sold that truck... but I bought a 15 ram 1500... also put led bulbs in them. I did another video with them. they work pretty darn well.
I have an 06, will LEDs work without having to use a resistor?
i would say they will work like they did in my 05. i dont think they changed much for 06. but im not 100 percent sure.
@@Simpsons.R.S appreciate the reply. I'm going to order some and see how it goes
