Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I wasn't going to watch any videos, but I removed the 3 bolts and it's hung up by that pin. Before I just went to yanking on it, I thought to myself, take a quick break and make sure lol. I'm just upgrading to LED bulbs on mine and keeping the original housings. The LED's worked great in my Ram, we'll see how they do in the Dakota.
I have a 2000 Dakota Sport, and I am planning to change mine out too. Clean them then they turn yellow again. As for LED"s I tell others to not change over to them. OEM is the best for lights. Saw a car in front of me last year and the lights in the rear were flashing like a police car. I knew that they had changed to LED. Great video, thanks.
Jealous of the weather is an understatement. Us in the northeast are preparing for a huge snowstorm. We have about 3 more months until our Mopars come out of hibernation. Great video as always. Can't wait to see the new and improved Mr. Jone's run the quarter mile.
Ya I agree lol .. I’m up northern Canada-37 f ya that’s right not Celcious lol an like he says big snow storm hitting our area on Monday dang it 3 months still ?? !! Yup he’s right on that too .. lol good video bud .. so ya think ya will get big red out for a run soon !? How’s he feeling these days 👍
Great vid! Looks like you have been doing some exercise! Those pipes are lookin' good! Something I need to get back into. I am out of shape since I retired. 68°? It's about 6° here in Iowa.
I got the same one except they're the smoked black ones. I found that the middle light on the bottom being situated differently than the stock light was what was causing it not to fit as good as the driver side
Amazing how a new pair of headlights makes a vehicle look so much newer. Do the factory parking lights clip into the aftermarket headlamp (if you wanted to keep the amber parking lenses)?
Re wire for led turnsignals? You bought the wrong leds I have thT same light with leds on my 99 5.9 durango They are error free , plug and play and they the work perfecty
I tried LED bulbs in sisters old 99 300m back when it blew the bulbs for the second time because they SHOULD have been lifetime bulbs considering how hard it is to swap the bulbs on those. it turned out 6k color temp looks really white till your actually out driving and the light id actually blue and didn't throw very far out in front of the car, you couldn't see as good as she could with the old Sylvania silver stars it had before. they also only lasted about 6 months before the LED elements overheated and started going half brightness and shutting off. Your also right, the high beams didn't throw out much farther then the low beams besides being blue. I ended up putting some aftermarket projector headlights in my old 95 Neon and they were so much better then the cloudy yellow lenses on the factory lights, plus the low beam had a low flat beam cutoff and covered much more distance then the factory ones did, and the high beams were like daylight. If you break or decide to upgrade find a set of projector headlights for it, I think you'll really like them. I paid like 99 bucks for the Neon ones and now they don't make them anymore, but I saved them and put the old ones back in when I got rid of it :) They were worth more then the car was...
I have a 2001 Dakota 4x4 , the door bell starts chiming when I put it in gear and start rolling, when I stop at a stop light it stops. The headlights are also flashing, interior lights and wipers come on intermittently, anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?? Thanks
Man...tell Adam thanks 👍 Because...I really love your channel. If you.havent subscribed hey what a great and very knowledgeable guy.. Please keep them coming! Thank you so much!!! God bless you and your family.. and. Abom lol.
For the life of me I don't understand what that triangular corner lens is for because it doesn't do anything... If this was a custom install you could pipe a small turn signal in there or something or a DRL, But it just sits there.... Mocking me in fact I sometimes feel like just painting the same color as the body.
Question i have a 2002 dakota quad cab like yours but 3.9 Im wanting swap mine out like yours but i have an issue needs fixed first. My parking lights, interior dash lights, accessory lights and taillights stopped working. Fuse panel on side of dash keep blowing 20amp fuse. What would cause lights not working amd blown fuse? Ive searched cant find a fix or main issue?
DO NOT REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. Just reach behind the light turn the clip counter clockwise. & Remove the Bulb & replace. it is three steps that’s it. PULL THE PLUG IN OFF THE LIGHT. Remove the Clip & pull the Bulb. No tool required. Just Hands!

Turned out nice. I bought new factory style ones from Rock auto last year. They looked identical to the Oem ones
Thanks
Great video, will help out. So when you get ready to change the driving bulbs out you can do it inside the engine compartment correct?
Yes
Helpful points....would like to see the night time view of the lights and an after install review of nighttime driving with them....just a thought.
Truck was sold over a year ago.
Good job!
Those look pretty good
Great Job.I am gotta get same !
Nice job my brother
Great video well explain thanks
Great content thanks for sharing
If you push the end of the turn signal assembly in hard enough(be smart) the anchor will click into place.
It popped in and popped back out… every time.
But be careful because the plastic of the anchors will break easily. The OEM stuff is touch, but the Chinese plastic is crap.

Make sure all grounds are good. Then start hunting for a short.
I have the same ones and to be honest they fit as well as the factory ones which weren’t perfect either

You need a power probe and a wiring diagram to diagnose it.
I could not find the side adjustment screw for headlight til I watched this
Any updates on beam pattern and brightness down road?
It is a lot better. It looks like the headlight lens is already starting to turn yellow. A little. 👎🏼
@@TheGasTap should I get these or get a pair of OEMs?

You should make a video on changing a bulb. May earn yourself a subscriber. 😉
