52 years, and this album is still aging like fine wine. Truly ahead of its time.
Hard for me to say which of the 7 is the best because they are all masterpieces. No doubt, a classic.
Always a difficult choice. For this moodies fan, bigtime fan, its between Seventh Sojourn and Every Good Boy Deserves Favour...and I guess that makes me a good boy, in a pleasant narcissistic way?!?
Congrats to my very favorite group, The Moody Blues! 50 plus years of fabulous and unique lyrics and songs which warm the heart and ask the million dollar QUESTION... why are we here? To listen to the Moodies, of course! I know I have since I was 14 and that is 50 years ago!! Still loving them and still learning from their lyrics and music!! Here's to infinity and beyond, Moodies!! xxx
Time for a new one
Just spun the record today. Brilliant work of art. That era of music was truly a golden one.
Dawning Is The Day! Congratulations on the 50th Anniversary of "A Question of Balance." Your beautiful lyrics and voices have helped us all "to find our way....!" Thank you for the joy you've brought into our lives.
One of the greatest albums of all time! I just uploaded my cover of “Question” in honor of it.
MOODY BLUES FOREVER !!
Nice behind-the-scenes peek! Another iconic Moody Blues album with outstanding album art. Life really is A Question Of Balance. ☝️☀️
I saw them in Philly in the 70's. Damn, 50 years went by so fast! When they did Ride My See Saw, with the light show, it felt like the whole venue was going to take off. I'll never forget that experience. One of my favorite groups.
Awesome! One of my favorite albums and hands down my favorite album cover!
L'un des plus grands groupes de l'époque 1960'-70'.
I love how active all the Moody Blues' social media profiles are right now! Keep the new content coming! & happy 50th anniversary to this masterpiece 💙
Awesome - keep these facts and tidbits/history coming please!!!! 👍👍
Doubtless has been said before by many, but I'm always amazed, looking back at all their albums, at how a wonderful love of the natural world, together with nautical themes especially tides winds and waves, pervades many tracks. And some songs go further, with clear conservation messages(eg I'm just a singer..).
Bottom line:-the Moodies were into Nature Play long ahead of their time.
Fresh as ever, Question and A Question of Balance have retained both strength and resonance - timeless classics that transport with every spin and have over the decades. Nice idea this - bring on more these backstory vids. Cheers.
I was a year old when this came out it was their second number one lp
I have goosebumps watching/listening...
My first MB album....🎼💙💙🙋♂️👏👏👍🤗
Amazing💙
My LIFETIME FAVORITE Album AWSOME I L-O-V-E it
We saw them three years ago in ATL...they sounded as strong an harmonious as they ever did. Love the Moodys!
AMO
Pleased
The opening guitar on the single was more powerful in the absence of the initial mello-overdubs: tight. On headphones it was like the Voice of God, or, perhaps, the Hand of God. (I have waited 50 years to say that.) The things I have seen with this album playing in the background.....
💙💙💙💙💙
So....who is the man with the gun based on?
The man with the gun is based on a real person; he was not happy with his likeness gracing this cover. His image was given a pith helmet and changed, but he showed up again without helmet on the CD cover.

@@jannijhof2083 Ok, so he is not like anyone famous or anything.
@@dannobles8028 or maybe he is but did not want to be on the album, or maybe unless he got paid ... who knows?
@@classicacorsair6534 Thanks :) Mystery solved - it was Colonel Blashford Snell .
