@mirandawhitehead6932 ~ That's always the hope, but too often, it is not the reality. Five years have gone by since I left the preceeding comment, but having just watched again and considering some of the known-dynamics that occur in relationships such as this - yes...I stand by it. If there's no issue - great. If there is - hopefully, a simple note will stand as a witness that other people do notice. 🤎. _EtA - wait, do you mean that things are pretty clear without her giving additional indicators?_
That looks so delicious. It was the other way around the first year I was teaching my husband how to cook. Such wonderful memories. We have only been married for 3 years but have been together for 8 years my parents taught me how to cook and my grandparents who are Italian taught me how to cook different and unique dishes. My husband's parents never really taught him how to cook. But that's okay there's a lot of things that I don't know either we learn it together that's what marriage is all about it's teamwork.
Home cooked meals take Time. Husbands always in a Hurry to eat when they smell cooking. Home cooking is not fast food. Husband wants fast food then he can go to Burger King!
After watching your videos for years, I look back on this video now and so very proud of you for divorcing this condescending man. What an A-hole. He just complained the entire time. If he’s joking he never lets up on the act.
Its so sweet of you that youre starting to cook more for your hard working husband c: ❤ I've Been learning how to cook as well for my boyfriend and he is really impressed with the food I make very flavorful last night I made chicken alfredo for him 😄❤ can't wait for your next video
The dishes look delicious (what are the green things though?) but that husband... Ugh I don't know, he's either got a weird kind of humour or he is just very rude. Seemed like he didn't appreciate her cooking at all.
Cooking baked ziti right now. And Also leek soup because they needed cooking. Watching you cook Chinese while my Italian and my German food is cooking. LOL
Could someone please explain what the title means? Is it a phase commonly used? Or is it translated from Chinese? Just wondering what the meaning behind it is. Thanks!
If you bothered to look into their culture for a change in stead of expecting Yummy to always be looking and learning yours you would know that in China 1 parent "work"s full time, The other one will do everything else and help with the "Work". The children are expected to go to school and learn, This includes after school studies and holiday time studies. So they are not expected to learn how to cook whilst at school
The way you rinse rice was not how I was taught. My mom showed me by using one's hands to rub the rice together in your palms. Rinse out with water after a bit. Do it at least 3 times. Also, at least your husband likes rice. My non-Asian boyfriend doesn't. XD
You know I love your channel BUT “the first year of being a wife is learning how to cook” so when did they say that? In the 1950’s! Unreal statement, super sexist !
Wolfpupper ー Thank you for your response. Wether it was in a joking tone or not it is degrading and jokes like this should not be made by a man to a women much less a husband to a wife. It is unfortunate but maybe this is a learning for him.
The Girls Aka Mileinmyshoes I think he was joking because in an Asian family, if the girl can’t cook food, she’s a “bad wife”. But I agree with you, it was really sexist
Not sexist. She wants to be a housewife and prides herself on it. It would be sexist if he said all women should/have to. He's joking with her because it's relevant to THEIR LIFE.
To be honest, your home made Chinese foods were not presentable and appetite. No offense but I know many non-Chinese read your vlogs, so try to learn from the online chefs and cook something more presentable and yum for your hubby and non Chinese fans cos Chinese foods are more than that.
We eat stir fired vegetable dishes almost every day. Sorry about I’m wearing my glasses in this video. Video was recorded a while ago.
Yummy King 吃秀 stop apologizing! You are beautiful darling! With or without glasses!
nothing wrong with wearing glasses it suits you
Why do you apologize for wearing glasses? I cook in mine.😊 We can't wear contacts 24/7 it isn't good for your eyes. You look great eighter way.
Aww you don't have to apologize for wearing glasses! ;;
You look great in it, so don't worry :)
You look great with or without glasses and all the food looked yummy
As a person who cooks , watching how Yumi’s husband eats her home cook food happily makes me smile . Love you Yumi ❤️
"Baby I don't care about the fried sesami, I just wanna eat"
mocval ; me to myself when I want food to look good but I’m hungry
Girl, are you in an ok situation?? If you are in need of rescue, don't blink, cough, then wink your left eye twice.
She doesn’t need to do that

+Amber Hayes Actually, if you know exactly what to cook and if it's a simple recipe, you can do it in less than 15 minutes.

It kinda sounded like he was just messing around though. But if he was serious, it would be kind of old fashioned indeed.

Like Western food some looks unpresentable and even if it is presentable it's still bland to the core.
So what she cooking it for her son don’t see anything wrong with the food in the video
I want to know what the green veggies are that you stir fried the egg with please!! Looks yummy!!
