It's very easy to tell if the enemy army has large units because they are either 4x4 or flying. You can certainly run flying units on just your DD but it's not really sustainable. Large units don't really do damage and it won't be sustainable for DD to use them to get the counter buff. So in the end why run large units at all? And since no one runs large units why use small units at all? So we are left with using medium units and defeats the entire purpose of the countering system

I counter enemy alot this season, you don't need x4 of the counter unit, you need just mix for always counter every formation...look at video and you gonna understand :)

I believe the flying units nerfs were misinterpreted by me. I thought that eagle formations do reduced damage below 100 stamina, but it's only if you have all 4 formations with eagles and convert your army into a "flying army". So running eagles on just dain can still work if you can afford it. Beornings and eagles are the only usable large unit unfortunately. Next question is if dain is considered ranged if he has a ranged unit

And SWAN KNIGHTS troops are over power, you just need to be in Gondor and use Dain, Beorn, gil galad and white Gandalf. Destroys all armies
