Artificial intelligence songs are nothing new
On so many levels Roger & Zapp we’re ahead of their time. So talented and for his life to end so tragically. Who knew we would be looking at a computer and seeing people, in real time. Roger did!
So surreal. A true ageless classic. Their music takes me to such a different place. No one made 'em like Zapp & Roger did. R.I.P., Roger Troutman.
I feel so fortunate to have seen this man in concert two times, the second time he was about 10 feet away form my seat. A great talent we lost but heaven gained one.
This version is different from the album version. Very interesting.
Because Charlie Wilson's manager and label executives told him that they won't let him do this song....but he told them they are already done with song...so album version is most Shirley Murdock.

There was Internet in the late 70s but it was only the biggest of tech geeks using it. Internet being used by regular people didn't really catch on till the 90s

Yea!! They did the original vocals,but it was a record label dispute that caused Roger to go back and do the vocals himself which is the version that is more commonly played.

I heard this song on the radio a few nights ago after taking my girlfriend to work at her job and I had to stop the car and have the Google App tell me what it was. @@BravoShow I don't know who originally came up with this story about Charlie Wilson's label not allowing Zapp to release "Computer Love" with his voice in it, but it's not true. Go listen to the original version from their 1985 album "The New Zapp IV U." Charlie's voice is clearly on the track. He's even credited for his vocals in the album's liner notes. There's one version that Charlie's voice isn't in and that's 8+ minute extended version from the 12-inch vinyl single, but he's in every other officially released version.
