1. Some viewers noticed that a roach (dead) made a cameo at 9:10. Haha
Even roaches like playing with trains!
@Ericstrains I absolutely love the videos you have a beautiful collection 💜
Actually, the short answer is "Yes."
Sweet video eric! I have to say it’s been wonderful watching the collection grow since 2011 and I can’t wait to see it continue. Thank you for the steadier camera it made watching it far far easier on my eyes in comparison to the original 2023 video! Anywho keep on going!
Thanks!
OMG!! That's a VERY impressive collection of locomotives!! You're the king of the Rails Eric!!
Eric, just an awesome collection. Thank you for the videos. I love to watch your collection run. Your layout is spectacular
Thank you very much!
Great collection Eric, be very proud of it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
awesome collection! I enjoy watching your videos, they are very relaxing and well done!
Thank you very much!
Amazing Collection Keep up the great videos !!
Thanks!
That is super sweet awesome engines across the board as always I enjoy your cool videos
Yow, that is one giant locomotive collection! There are some very interesting engines there that you don't see too often. Hopefully, you will get a few on the layout in future videos. Excellent video, as always. Have a great Holiday Season.
Thank you very much!
I always love to see your collection because I can see the real locomotive not an illustration in a catalogue. Sometime that influence me to buy it or not . I'm starting my collection as well. 13 so far ! 3 steam and 10 diesel.
Joyous hollydays Eric and Lisa !
Truly awesome Eric! I'm turning Kermit green with envy. Thanks for sharing not only your trains and layout but also your passion and enjoyment of this hobby. Looking forward to the bonanza this year. Keep up the great work.
Awesome! Thank you!
Great update Eric. I especially like the NYC Xplorer shark nose and the ACL E7A's.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks!
I love your Aero Train sets! They are beautiful! I hope someday I can purchase a set!!
Great video Eric!!
I have the PRR set for sale.
Wow I'm still thinking about what train set to start with. Really impressive. Congrats man.
Very beautiful collection Eric....
Like the hair cut looks good. Hope you guys have a merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Thank you! You too!
Eric, thanks for sharing your collection of your O Gauge Locomotives with us train nuts, I enjoy watching 0 gauge train collections of all sizes, both large and small, again thanks for sharing!👍🚂🚞
Thank you very much!
Nice collection.
Good for you Eric. It’s your money spend it how you see fit. Awesome collection.
Sweet collection Eric!!
Thanks!
@@Ericstrains you are very welcome!!
Finally a new collection video
Awesome collection. I would love to see a review of the commando assault train set. Looks cool!
Forget the Haters Bro, Love your collection. We love your Locomotive count video, Pls continue making it. If you find a response from 10 haters then remember there are thousands of us waiting for such videos and we fully support you. It's not just a collection Bro, you have made a museum out of all your collection.
Hey Eric I've been watching you since early 2010 back when I was only a kid still and the layout was nothing like it is today can't believe how much more you've collected over the years I hope to come down to georgia one day during your open house and see the table for myself
Thanks!
I'm really enjoying this collection! I love it a lot! Also the Black Bonnet is actually a 2-10-4.
Very cool
Awesome! My favorite would have to be the Southern Pacific Krauss Maffei.
That's quite a collection Eric! I always wondered, collectors like you must carry a rider on their home owners insurance in case of a catastrophic event. Is this something you carry?
yes
You have a lot of cool stuff 😎
just wow TY
Using your method of counting I’m only at around 120-130 pieces of motive power. I feel so insignificant 😜
Great collection Eric.
120-130 is nothing to sneeze at. Keep it up!
Very cool Eric. I think if I had my S gauge collection on display and not mostly boxed up in my walkin closet. I’d probably be in trouble once my wife realized how big my collection is.🤣
Eric, thanks for sharing. Great video! BTW I like hi-hood diesels best and would love to see any Monon, SP&S or NP. The original NP mainline runs through my town and I can watch BNSF trains go by from my kitchen window. Once again, thanks for sharing your fabulous collection with us.
Great suggestion!
Tons of great engines!
Man it’s been a long time since a locomotive count video I’m excited for an up to date video! I’m happy to see that you’re just showing your new engines over the past two years, I’ve watched your locomotive counts a couple of times now.
Thanks!
@@Ericstrains the end of the video had me laughing so hard with Lisa’s thoughts on the trains 😂😂😂
Living vicariously through Eric saves a tremendous amount of money……LOL
Thanks for making it easy to live vicariously through you with great content that lets us experience these amazing trains without spending 1 billion dollars.
Agree
Wow, very cool! Can you do a count of your knife collection?
Maybe on my other channel, Kitbashed Survival
Ive been watching your videos since i was 10 or 11 years old. Im a lifetime fan and ill continue watching every video you put out, Eric! Can't wait to see the vision line GS review as well as the new CSA brass hybrid challengers. I wonder if they pull 5 plus pounds like every other lionel steamer these days. Lol
Thank you! 🙏
I really thought I was in need of an intervention. I have 200 engines and you dwarf my collection by 300 units. Wow
LETS GOO! THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE COUNT!!
Wow 500 can't wait to see the other 2 what are they prototypes your checking out for lionel?
Wow Eric, I hope you have someone to leave your trains too when you go to that big layout in the sky. Namaste
Great video eric i really like ur videos. ive been looking to get into model trains and i just want to know do you need a specif rail part to make the model run?
So many beautiful engines
Finally!
Love the Tuscan red crocodile👊🏻
Hallo Eric. I know it's a little early but anyway. Merry Christmast to you and Lisa from Denmark. I really love your unboxing and driving video's. I'm an HO guy my self, but have always been facinated by the bigger gaugets. You have a beauterfull
layout thou it seems to me that it isen't build for actuel trainoperetions but more as a display for all your wonderfull trains. Do I have a point or am I wrong. So where do you go to operate trains. Are you a member of a club. Keep up the videos, they're great. Greetings from Denmark
Great video Eric!
Do you would ever do a video in the future with your postwar trains. I would to see that.
I really don’t have that many postwar trains that are in good condition. I have some rolling stock and some passenger cars and a few engines but nothing spectacular or noteworthy
You did make a minor error. Around 10:50 in the video, you say that Santa Fe 5001 is a northern. It is a 2-10-4, not a 4-8-4. Great video regardless of any mistakes! It’s always a great time watching these model trains do their stuff!
Oops
Hey Eric will we ever get an updated review of the coors light train I absolutely love seeing it in these engine counts and would love to learn about it
yes
I didn't know they did a Pennsylvania & Southern switcher! That railroad operates the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg Pa.
Yeah it's a cool switcher!
That a lot of train that you got 🚂👀
Hey Eric, been a massive fan of your content for the past 5-6 years. Any idea on what could be coming for engine reviews in 2024?
Everything lol
@@Ericstrains LOL Ive been waiting for that VisionLine A video since Lionel released it
I have the MTH SNCF French line going around the Christmas tree/village with the MTH Super Chief Set in the yard. Wish I could get my E94 Crocodile out but that won’t fit the radius of the turns around the Christmas Tree 😢
Nice!
Dang that’s a big number
50% more locos than last time. Sounds about right!!!
Cool
Extraordinary impressive locomotive collection very extraordinary collection, Eric you are a very impressive guy very knowlegible train expert 👍🏻✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
Glad you enjoyed it
Got dang Eric 😂😂
Have you thought of doing a new video of your MTH Coors Light Silver Bullet train?
Yes
Eric, Judith remember … you can never have enough trains!
Now… I can finally die happy
“Your flex is weak,I had 900 designer handbags & 3,000 pairs of designer shoes”…Imelda Marcos(most hated flexor back in the day)
I wouldn't call this a flex, but ok.
17:28 I love the look of that Diesel.
Yeah it's a cool one.
Eric,
Also seriously interested in the B&O Ingersoll Rand Boxcab from MTH, one on my long time "hunt list". If you ever want to let it go, I'm a very serious buyer.
It was on my hunt list too until earlier this year lol! :)
Hi, Eric love your video and more power to you if you couldn't afford the collection that you have. I think it's great just a question on your display cases. Your locomotive seemed to fit just right in there. Are you building the width of these display cases? Just to whatever you can fit in a certain area. Or you building it to the sizes of your collection, just curious. Have a great day. Joe
I build the cases to the size that will fit in the area and then arrange the trains so they fit as well as possible. It’s kinda like train Tetris lol
@@Ericstrains You do a great job!!
So how do you get locos in Eric's Trains paint? You can custom order from Lionel?
Yup.. It's totallyyyyy Lisa's fault.... Sure.... 😂
Its tremendous! Does the home insurance cover enough?
yes
You do have a very impressive collection Eric, I'm just curious what do you do for a living that allows you to have that extra cash to purchase engines for your collection
I have 5 jobs. I work 7 days a week.
Wait what happened to the s scale American flyer you got years ago. I don’t see that on the count at all
Maybe people who think you’re showing off should work harder and invest! Everyone, just be happy you get free content from a person that’s puts in 110% effort into every video posted on top of his personal life!
Eric, why did you go Mach E over Tesla? Any regrets? I’m looking at the Mach E or a CPO Etron GT for my next commuter. Personally Teslas are everywhere now so I want to be different. Also, I’m sure parts are available from Ford and Audi vs Tesla if the car was ever in an accident.
I went the the Mach-e because i like the interior accommodations better. No regrets at all, I absolutely love the mach-e.
eric I have quite a few engines my self. not as many as you but, maybe guessing around 200. I have not ran some in over two years. what engine of yours if you had to guess has sat and not been run in years? there has to be one at least😊
Probably my standard gauge engines get the least run time because I have to set up the standard gauge track on my living room floor.
u are my childhood person whom i watch from childhood i wish if i one train set but i dont have any set i am not from america but i am from india they are so much expensive for us :(
Thank for you watching!
I can see there are plenty of railfans in India given the number of videos from there I've seen. It appears there are little or no Indian Railways models being commercially produced though. Almost all of the IR models I have seen on RUclips are scratch-built of cardboard, with some building powered locomotives and even trackwork+switches this way (example, 'BumBin Creative' ). Hopefully one day India's growing middle class will allow a domestic model train industry to arise there.
Who's Aluminum train shelves are you used ?
500 actually. I am guessing either something for your girl friend or she got you something but you cannot count it until Christmas Day.
Have you done a review of the Third Rail #9001 Kras Mafi ? Third Rail virtually has no social media presence, a website that looks like something from the late 90s.
Yes. ruclips.net/video/2-yzz6e0Yqw/видео.html
@Erictrains ! Thank you don’t know how I missed it !
Eric has a coin that one side says buy the train, and the other side says try again
How'd you know?
@@Ericstrains Honestly if that is one of your merch items, I would buy.
@Eric's Trains - 334 Locomotives 🚂 that YOU KNOW of, or "FOR NOW" 👍🏼👍🏼 😆 🤣 😂
You are LIVING THE DREAM!
THANKS FOR SHARING.
And, here I thought my 130 O Gauge locomotives (plus or minus a few) was a lot...
can't be the only one that jumped when i seen the roach
He was dead. I got rid of him later that day. It's funny how viewers always notice things I don't, even though I've probably watched this video at least 10 times in the last few days.
Eric if you had to start your layout all over what changes would you make to your layout?
To many to list here lol
@@Ericstrains Will you make a video on the changes you would have done?
How do u clean ur train table. Houses, trees, roads scenery ect
with a vacuum cleaner lol
Very carefully
😂😂😂😂uh oh, sharing top secret information 😮😮😮
Wow, that's a serious amount of $$ in 2023 🤯
Yes
5:16 that's a GP30.
13:42 same thing.
No Matter What Scale Your Running You Cannot Have Enough Engines There Is Never a Limit and There won’t Be.Ever.
Whats your insurance coverage? I can only imagine the investment. Is it covered under homeowner?
Homeowners + collectors insurance
Dude, I have to know, what are engines 499 and 500?
😮
When You are A model Railroader you cannot Have Enough Engines.
As always the MTH European trains really stand out. Those were some of their finest works at the time and probably still are even today. It’s a shame they weren’t really appreciated by us here or the Europeans apparently.
Is all your "stuff" insured?
How many passenger trains do you have
short answer: a lot.
Wow Eric now that is a lot of locomotives 500 locomotives wow. And I think that she's nuts Eric do you think that she's nuts or crazy or both Eric?
I think she’s adorable
@@Ericstrains ho ok Eric.
So you must be independently wealthy? Would need access to Fort Knox to cover the cost of all these toys? I was just comparing Lionel catalog prices, 2020 vs. 2023. There locomotive prices seem to be up an average of 36 percent over the course of the last 3 years. What will we see, next year?
Tommy z is still the king !
Ha yeah
