Living in Arizona it’s nothing but blue sky and I miss the cloudy or partially cloudy days while out on the bike Scenery looks awesome and the history of the small towns is amazing….things I’ve forgotten after 40 years of living in America. Thanks for the awesome rides
Thanks buddy. I’ve just come back (yesterday) from 3 days in Dumfries and Galloway. Look out for the videos on this trip coming over the next few weeks. I didn’t know the place until now but now it’s possibly my favourite place. 👍
Fabulous roads Jack, I should know as you’re in my backyard. I love that road at the top of Kielder😆. The A68 is a fabulous road all the way from Darlington to Edinburgh. By the way the Snipes are Curlews and the road next to Hadrians Wall was built in the Jacobite uprising to carry guns from Newcastle to defend Carlisle. Yes I’m a geek and I love living up here even though I’m really a yellow belly from Lincolnshire😆. Glad to hear somebody appreciate my beautiful back yard, my wife says we must do the 250 combined with a night away even though I’ve ridden most of those roads many times, sounds like a plan.
Thanks Ian, my twitching skills aren’t brilliant 🦅🦆🦜🦢 So it wasn’t the Romans then? What exactly, did they ever do for us? Sounds like you’re on a promise with your wife too. 😅
@@motomogul No the engineers just followed the wall’s route. It’s an amazing story, Bonnie Prince Charlie had laid siege to Carlisle. Loads of locals are convinced it’s an old Roman Road, it being so straight😉. I live just off the Military Road near Corbridge, just across the Wall outside the Empire as was😆 Look forward to the next video👍
Did this last year, stopped off at Lindisfarne for the night, if you like castles your in luck, petrol stations nothing on the route so expect to make a few detours, and the odd scary road, did anticlockwise 2 days.
Hats off to you for sharing the fact that you have had some struggles , I hope that the reset ride helped you sort them out. well done and take care. that ride is on my list for the new year looks awesome
Another top class series matey, thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm only a hour or so away from the route, done most of the route as separate days out, but I'll have to try the route properly. I have just booked 3 nights in Stranraer to do the D&G area after watching your series from last year, 🤙🏻🤙🏻👍🏻
Great words Jack about ‘reset rides’ - it’s a happy place for me on the bike and to go explore our country just adds to it👌-,have a Peak District trip all planned for end of September - can’t wait😀😉
Thanks Angus. The Peak District is a great place. I still have a video to edit from a few weeks back coming up on the channel soon so that may give you some ideas of places to visit. 👍
Your on a route I do regularly through Chatto & Hownam, Scottish Borders, very scenic, you actually passed my off road trail to the right of you, you can see it ahead of you at 31:20, nice sweeping bends, it’s in one of my videos in the off road playlist, glad you enjoyed the route, I do it From Kelso , Town Yetholm, Hownam, Chatto & to the Edinburgh Woollen Mill in Jedburgh then back home to Kelso….it cheers me up 😁
Another great vid. I'm currently visiting Northumberland, and it baffles me as to why there are so few bikes in such a fantastic riding area. Can you in the commentary or on screen, let us know the towns/roads or locations of where you are/heading? Thanks.
That scenary when you done that speach was awesome hope allswell and to see you out n about oneday just done this route again today .love it would you recommend a triumph tiger 1050 sport 2017 like you had. Been following you for a long time now ..i currently own a gen one triumph explorer 1200 love the power but its just the weight when stationary.
Thanks Gary, it’s a lovely area to ride. I would recommend a 1050 Sport, although they have a tendency to be a little top heavy as well. Pretty sure you’d get a bargain now too 👍👍👍
Fantastic video series MM love watching these inspirational I do have 1 question in regards to your kit I ride all year round is this something you would recommend Thanks
@@stephenclarke9419 Ah yes. The Richa stuff is very good but I recommend going for the Richa Atlantic as it’s laminated goretex whereas mine is woven textile with goretex which does hold water. I don’t get wet but it does have to drip dry after a wet ride.
Hi jack thinking about swapping to a gs after 30 years riding zzr 1100 then 1400 as hips are getting bad riding two up Is gs a good bike for two heavier people on board and any advice as need a grow up sit up right bike now
Hi Philip, I’d say the GS would be an excellent choice. A very comfortable bike, make sure it has electronic suspension, put that in AUTO and you won’t even know your wife and luggage is on the back. The more I ride mine the more I love it.

I ride all year round is this something you would recommend

Thanks Stephen, do you mean regarding camera gear or clothing? I ride year round and my stuff is out in all weathers.
Sorry jack I was thinking of getting a Richa jacket and trousers wanted to know how they preform
Thanks

i really liked the tour think I would do that myself what roads.
Any you like up there Robert, they’re all good 👍
Ive always loved the A68, first drove it on my police advanced car course. Rode it last year on my bike going to NC 500. Long way from Norfolk though.
@@robertbush6652 It would be for a day trip but it was great for a couple of nights away 👍
Quality jack 👍👌
Thanks buddy 👍
Another 5* vid Jack...
Always good to get out and enjoy your own company, windsurfing does it for me just as well as my Triumph does.
Thanks Dave 👍
Ride safe …
