Gardena municipal code makes it a crime to lounge. At least they could give you a citation rather then arrest. On the other hand, we are all lucky not to be shot in the back.

Yes. A chair that does not belong there, a woman that does not belong there and alcohol that does not belong there. That is what taverns are for. Why can't she go there? It is a nice neighborhood and it looks out of place. Why can't you fathom this. Have you ever owned a home and worked hard to make it look nice?
Not loitering, trespassing, pandering, drinking in public, urinating in public and so on. things homeless people and people like you do. My kids don't need to see this. If they can walk, they can work. Stop making excuses for these people.
Also Diaz, there is a real homeless lady less then a block away that literally has the sidewalk blocked with all sorts of debris. Nothing is said to her. The driving factor behind this arrest was revenue. The woman here will be able to pay the extortion note she no doubt was given. It was salas who made a mess of the area discarding the victims property on the ground.
As for the comments by Diaz, they are false. Look at the woman. Her nails are manicured. She is not a street walker asking children for anything. She sat in front of her house in a comfortable spot to have a cigarette. Had she not been arrested, I would have liked to join her. I dont smoke. But I do enjoy meeting interesting people. By the way, I do know several homeless people in the area, and each is better to talk to then a lot of gardena cops... Gonsalves and others could learn from any of the homeless I know.
Dan you have to remember that the cops have to make a certain amount of arrest and write a certain number of tickets each month in order to keep their quotas or performance goals as they now call them on target. This is how the cops advance their careers.
I thought only Torrance wasted time and resources running my name every hour on the hour. But it appears Gardena is doing it as well. The police were also openly naming their informants, describing their vehicles, make model color etc. If your a informant for any of our local departments, your a fool in more ways then one. They publicly identify you repeatedly over the air. How long before its on the street that your a snitch? Better question...how long has everyone already known?

You must not have been to North Gardena, I could say alot about it but it is not a nice place.
I live in downtown LA. Here we work and have children and follow the law. So there is no disrespect for the LAPD.
