You are right. These engines where going to be stroker motors. Pistons where removed but machining was never done. Crank, cam, timing gear still installed .

I don’t know DMP was still open. When they moved out on DeSoto I thought they just closed or 4/4 took over. Definitely going there next time.
A short block should have crank, rods, pistons, camshaft, timing set.
