Thank you for discussing this topic. Very timely. I'm a PhD student who has been successful in the publication realm and I've started reflecting on why I am doing what I am doing. Ultimately, I want to glorify God in all things but sometimes I do slip up. Work in progress 🙏🏻
As a young man who believes he is being called to Marriage, THANK YOU FR. for this video. I could not find good answers anywhere. We need more videos like this.
1 Corinthians 15 kJV ♥️ 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Peter 1 kJV 🩸 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Ephesians 1 🩸 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Thank you for this. Ive been struggling this for years. Having been from a very conservative Catholic family, Ive been told to stop aiming great things because its prideful. All I want to do is to be a great Artist for God. All I do for God but having all this mindset from birth is keeping me down and killing me inside.
@KnightGeneral-if you are an artist that is a beautiful charism from the Holy Spirit. This charism glorifies God through sacred or secular artistic creativity….share it and beautify this world!
We should achieve great things and even make much money if we can. The important thing is to not only think of yourself and take care of others. I want to be wealthy one day ofc so me and my family can live without financial worries, but also so I can give more to people in need.
Thank you. Came to a right time. I had these thoughts just yesterday. 😅 I agree I have a sense of what God has in store for me to do versus what I think that may be not for me, not fit or meant for me but for others.
I have had questions on this exact thing Fr. Thank you for addressing it. Although God revealed this exact explanation to my heart through observing the lives of certain humble yet important / powerful people I have met, I have wanted a Catholic take on it. It matched perfectly and confirmed what God told me. God bless.
I learned in one of Anthony Esolen’s posts that until the 19th century, to be called ambitious was an insult. There was the sense in ambition that the goals one was trying to reach were self-serving and full of pride.
Christ remained God in becoming human. We remain human in becoming God. “We mustn't find it incredible, brothers and sisters, that human beings become gods, that is, that those who were human beings become gods.” ~St. Augustine
I didn't receive anything specific from God except giving Mercy. I am a little upset. I am waiting for orders. something specific. So I sit on my couch and watch sermons and movies until God lets me know what to do.
No man can see God's face and live (Exodus 33:20) Why did God send Jesus and not himself? It is because God wants to save the lives of man, not to destroy them (Luke 9:56). Nothing of sin can stand in the presence of God, else it would be destroyed. God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son (John 3:16) with His power and spirit to do everything asked of him because they are one in agreement in all things (1 John 5:7-8, John 10:30). In Daniel 7:9, Daniel only saw God's hair and garment. In Exodus 33:20, Moses only saw God's back, as God said “thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.” No man has seen God enough to describe Him. Knowing this, it seems impossible that so many people continue to say Jesus is God and blaspheme against the Father. They are choosing to reject God's words and believe what they want to their own destruction (Mark 7:9). God sent Jesus for one reason: simply because he loves us.

1 Corinthians 15 kJV ♥️
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
1 Peter 1 kJV 🩸
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
Ephesians 1 🩸
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
It is not prideful to desire to do your best. Whatever you do, work at it as an act of worship.

I think this verse fits in with this topic; I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
I needed to hear this message tonight.
Thank you Father
Thank you fr. Pine!
Thank you for covering the little discussed but vital virtue of magnanimity!

Aspiration and success equate with humility when one recognizes the certainty of mortality and judgment.
Thanks 🙏
❤ thank you Father! This message has so much meaning to me. God bless you!

Is there any shot Ascension will do Mr. Natalia?

Chasing status and high positions seems like a bad position anyway
Yes. Philanthropist.
You can do a LOT of philanthropy without being humble. Philanthropy can have wrong motivations.
@@berwynsigns4115 you can also be a philanthropist and humble so it FITS the definition of this video.

God has no ambition, ergo to have ambition is un - God - like.
