    Wow! You didn't disappoint with your footage of the falls and lakes. I'm shocked you're able to get up there so soon. Thought there'd still be a ton of snow. Thank you so much for sharing the hike with Penny. She looks so happy! 😍 You deck is so inviting with flowers and succulents. Great job you and Brie!

    After next week, you have to find a spot where Penny can roll in the snow! She'd sure appreciate it and feel like things are back to normal! :)

    Yessss thank you. I drove up yesterday and it was closed off at the fire station.
    Beautiful walk in as the falls get louder.
    Thanks so much

    Oh thank you Dan for showing Glen Alpine today!!!
    I haven’t had a chance to get away to get up there.
    The falls look magnificent.
    The trail we hike in the back country has some super waterfall moments also, but is probably snowed in still, or very wet.
    Congratulations to Penny! 🎉🪅🎉👏. She made it through the recovery healing time. She’ll be so happy to swim soon and roll in the snow. Yay!
    I went to Wrights Lake on Memorial Day years ago in Honda Civic and got stuck on a snow mound. A friend of mine happen to be coming out from fishing and saved us. I had just adopted his daughters Golden Retriever the month before that day. It’s was a God moment. He’s always looking out for me.
    I bought me a Subaru after that. But that’s another story for another day.

      Hey Ali, yes the falls further up the trail heading into Desolation would still have snow or tricky river crossings so we will wait a little while longer to head back there.

    The early bird did good. Groceries and deck time. Perfect day. 🍷

    Awesome! I'm headed to Fallen Leaf in a week and will retrace your steps. Thanks! Yes, early bird is the only way to go. Was an early bird in Yosemite last month and was the only one at many of the popular destinations. Mid day find a quiet place for a nap.

    Fallen Leaf Lake is our most favorite for many sentimental reasons. But those falls blew us away. Magnificent! Beyond happy for Penny; she's back in her element. Thanks for this wonderful video. ✌️❤

    Penny’s so cool.. she wanted to roll around in the snow so bad, but listened to you, like she knew it probably wasn’t a good idea:)
    Beautiful shots of Tahoe scenery, awesome video as always thank you!😊

    Was just there last week at the Sierra Camp. Hiked to the Falls each morning - looks like less snow than even a week ago. Fallen Leaf Lake is gorgeous - but that road oh my, pot hole city -

    That mansion is relatively new. Lots of new builds on that teenie tiny road.
    Always a challenge and an adventure.
    Bri, awesome job on the decor on the deck.
    Your stain job turn out terrific!

    Yeah, Fallen Leaf lake made a big impression on me seeing it for the first time as a youngster. I live in Sonoma wine country right now, so lots to see around here too. I'll see about getting some scenery video up this week.

      Thanks Mitchell. Yup the road is closed in the winter to my knowledge so the only way in would be with snowmobiles.

    How's the hike to the falls

    • @tahoemountainlife
      @tahoemountainlife  Год назад

      It is about a 1/4 mile hike currently with the road closed. Most of it on a paved road up maybe 100-200ft of elevation gain.

    What kind of vehicle do you have? The road looks like it has many potholes. Do you think it is safe to drive a car?

    • @tahoemountainlife
      @tahoemountainlife  Год назад

      subaru outback. It is safeish with a car but you have to go slow to avoid the big holes.
