I wanted to send a letter to Jim I'll fix it when i was 8-9 years old, 6 months before my Mum died of cancer in 2019 I was then 43 she handed me the letter i wrote as a kid still sealed with the stamp on the envelope and she started crying, I asked her why she was crying and she apologised for me not getting to meet Jimmy Saville and I completely understand why she did what she did, she did it to protect me as she knew what a piece of work he was.
She was so right ,a mother's instinct eh

i worked behind the scene at totp not at television centre but at elstree studios and it was the crowd control & cameras assistants were like vulture to the audience sniffing out vulnerable star struck kids and this was in 1991
The film, Remember Me This Way, showed a 13-14-year-old girl going into his bedroom, where that monster was wearing only a robe! I was sickened to see that and walked out of the cinema. I was 11 years old at the time.
I tell everyone, when we had our daughter back in 2,000 at the tender bur extremely mature age of 37 for my wife and 40 for myself, we made an agreement . Anyone harm our child, my wife would visit! As an ex screw you know where I'm coming from ! Now in 2024 she's now a 4th dan black belt "master" in Tang Soo Do, full contact. She began martial arts way back at 8 years old. Now as a coal miner that saw my parents beat the living daylights out of each other and us kids, there was no way on this planet that my child was going to go through the life I had as a kid in Grassmoor.pit village. Nr Chesterfield. As a doting dad i will defend my daughter with a flick of my fingers ! Take real care of your kids parents, the government nor the system won't !........🤔👍👍

Maybe people weren't as shocked by this sort of behavior years ago. I remember David Bowie being accused in the newspaper in the early 80s. Only ever heard it once then never mentioned again. Anyone else remember this?

I think its a case of the bleeding heart liberals over time being fooled by the criminal, and the sympathetic have then put the bullshit to the governors who overtime have become too sympathetic to the criminals and have let the public down, to were even police walk out of court feeling let down by the lenient sentences handed out.
I can concur that although most of my time was spent working on the Hospital wing of a Category A High Risk Prison. I had to do a few shifts on the rule 43 protection wing. Those inmates who had done the most despicable crimes against women and children didn’t show any remorse for their crimes. Instead they would swap stories and get off on others cases. They would be just as much of a danger to society if not worse on leaving than starting their sentence. I would barely interact with them and only give them the bare minimum of what they were entitled to I had such distain towards them.

Yes,he once paid fifty thousand pounds for Jonathan King to get bail. Who in the right mind would pay to get a predator out on bail, unless the suspect was using blackmail and would talk unless he bailed him. Very odd.

I was a kid in the 70’s and remember him being on TV all the time especially kids shows even as a kid I thought he was not right
I remember watching a documentary on Jimmy Savile on RUclips and I remember someone saying everyone loved him in Leeds and nobody knew about adult interested in children. I was born in Leeds at the time. I don't remember anyone ever mentioning him. Neither good or bad. Yes he was creepy on TV but so were the other DJs. I was well aware of noncery at that age but my naivety I imagined them as non entities in dirty macs sort of kos or run away quickly. I was always on the streets all day and night and came across a few. Even adverts on TV at the time was Charlie a cat I think saying beware of strange men. Saying that, at the time, I did hear of a newsreader I think who likes young boys, don't know if it was true or not and a famous DJ who is probably still around who had a liking for young girls.
The freaks who are into kids are not the usual dirty old men in Mac’s but the sort of people who usually hide behind Human Rights.
If people dig deep they will find that a certain ex prime minister who used his two middle names when arrested in toilets decades ago and the certain ex prime minister is still alive today. He helped cover up nonce scandals by putting a 100 year gagging order on the crimes.
