Great job, my son! I am extremely proud of you. Taking risks is essential to moving forward and achieving success. Unfortunately, many people who criticize you will never take a similar leap of faith. Stepping out of your comfort zone is a gutsy decision, and it's hard to predict whether it will succeed or fail. However, with your unwavering determination and courage, you can overcome any obstacle and achieve your goals. I made it from nothing with a good wife behind me so I'm sure you will. You're a Roddis we all make it.
Nice input 👍
Starting your own business is the best thing you can do
£23.5k…that trade value bro. You could’ve got atleast £28k for that
Respect to you for selling your beloved Honda and reinvesting the money in your dreams. Nice to see the Mrs on the channel.
Good luck in your brave adventure you seem like a determined young man best wishes m8,Will
As a fellow FK8 Type R owner, I feel your pain getting rid of the car, but onto better things! Much love brother.
Manual truck is a pain in ass. Especially when you need to drive through city.
Also, I would be careful around old (2014 and older) trucks. Most of them are about to give in and you will have to spend a good money for repairs.
I would buy me some Volvo, but that's just because I really like those trucks 😁
Inside of a new Volvo is the nicest lorry I’ve ever driven, very nice
Everyone wants a scania but I think going for the DAF would make more sense, the market for spare parts in the UK is massive for DAFs other than the fact that it you’re not hauling top heavy you won’t really need all that hp like the Scania has, both incredible machines tho
I’ve never heard a foreign guy with a northern accent before but I’m all for it!! Love your videos man! Love the new truck as well!!
grit and determination !! that's what it takes, bro'. and someone who believes in you, by your side !! you've got it. good luck for the future, all the best.
Excited to see how this goes, good luck bud!
Best wishes for your future 🙏🏻
imagine you fully customise your truck and you can take it and Collab with trucker Tim in his work shop, that would be content!
Can only imagine, one brain cell between the 2
Great video bud I think it was the best choice to sell your car it wasn't driven enough and sometimes you have take risks to succeed in life I wish u look in your journey and i look forward to your future vlogs with your new truck and possibly new business 😊
Good for you man I’m a 20 year old class 1 driver trying to do the same thing props to you

He didn't call his honda a supercar, he said it was a super car. There is a difference first one is exotic and expensive. Second one is loved vehicle that you are proud to own.
I love your enthusiasm Good luck on your new venture I’ll be following with interest
Hope it all works out bro. If anyone can do it, you can.
Good luck, onwards and upwards!
All the best pal.Great stuff.
Still waiting for you to show us the super car?
Great video, Well done hope it all goes well for you, with plenty of work for your new venture.
Good luck with being a owner driver there’s not a lot off money in that work
Make sure you have a bank balance of at least £30 grand. Because that is part off the regs
Take a mechanic with you, who knows what he’s looking at as well
And ask yourself why there is so many trucks for sale
It’s very exciting! 😃👏👏
Just a different breed. Best of luck.
Amazing video and amazing adventure you are about to go on. Very excited to see your next video👌

Good luck in your new journey
Best of luck.
Hi mate, if you've not already taken the plunge and bought a truck I'd strongly suggest you take a huge step back and weigh it up. Without your own customers it's going to be nearly impossible to make it work. HX, Maritime, Timocom etc etc pay back haul rates. They're only there to pay your fuel home not to generate profit. XPO, DHL, Stobart, Wincanton, Culina, Kinaxia have hundreds of trucks and will undercut every job. They literally run their trucks for pennies due to their buying power for trucks, fuel, operating centres, servicing. It's like a corner shop trying to compete with Tesco. Even Stobart has gone bust at least twice so far to my knowledge. This is all before we get into the problem of eastern European companies who pay their drivers a few euros an hour hauling in the UK. It's not a level playing field. We're also entering the biggest recession we've seen in your lifetime and it's only just begun. Truck prices are dropping and smaller firms with less than a hundred trucks are going bust every day. Truck prices are falling. Check ProTruck and CVA auction centres for prices.
Best of luck, but be careful mate
Know the driver of the ex James gibb. Been well looked after and we’ll maintained 👍
very best of luck mate. ps love the moives
I would like you to show us the Scania Next Gen T cab from the showroom... Also if you never have driven a manual (in my opinion) I would never go for that... And with the extra's like the coffee maker and the microwave, if they are in the truck most of the time they will go with the truck once sold...
Seen this civic at hilton derby today didn't realize it was your old car 😮
Welcom to the candy shop 😂😂😂😂
The Daf xf
And the amount of people cry over him saying super car is ridiculous. Why they taking it to heart for?
Well done m8 you can't beat a scania lol made me laugh when u said never drove manual lol one my first trucks was a erf with eaton twin splitter omg didt ave a clue but when I worked it out what a gear box that was pmsl good luck in whatever u do keep the vids comeing 😊
Supercar pulls out Honda 😂
Good 🤞
Nicely done mate, eager to see what kinda work youll be getting wrapped up in!
Also wondering what kinda money you can be expecting to make as an owner operator?
This guy is going to be another TikTok trucker hasn't got a clue!
Wouldn't mind working for you one day. :)
Fair play for giving it a go but don't jump in too quick.Really need to weigh things up.Running costs can spiral quickly and profit margins aren't great.Hope it works out for you though but remember you've got a home life aswell.Know a few owner drivers who are away most of the time just to try and make the thing pay.Good luck 👍
i would check every inch of any you buy, and dont trust the word of the seller.
How do people become operators in this country? It costs so much money and it is so hard to get footing due to all the dumbass regulations and laws, the UK has one of the strictest operator regulations in the world... 7600 for an O-licence, have to advertise it 21 days before and anyone can just come in a veto your plans saying "i dont like loud trucks", all the cost of the insurance, fuel, and other small stuff... Wont be able to get fuel cards easy either because they dont trust you... And then there is the question of do you have contacts for work because when you got no work you are bleeding money through the company you are forced to set-up otherwise you cant become an owner driver in the UK.... In other countries you can just buy your truck, insure it and walk into companies asking for work, in the UK thats not how it works, nothing ever does.
Im genuinely curious how you are able to pull this off. I hope it works out for you, but personally I would never try this in the UK. Other countries no problem. But here? Not a chance, unless I knew some important people.
Scania V8 manual winner get it bought 👍
Super car? Its a civic
Did I read that right?? A civic type r is a supercar?😂😂
Since when is a Honda Civic a "Supercar"?
Comes from new coff wm
😂😂😂 civic type r is a nice bit of metal, definitely not a supercar! Good click bate though.
I’m a car guy too, but also do part time HGV and although not into trucks, those Scanias are mega 👍 respect
A super car is a ferrari not a Honda
Honda Civics hardly a super car is it 😂
You need a manual.
The boss - she's fit, you done well there 👌

Honda cost money, Scania make money.. simple

Bit of a lie calling it a supercar
That was not a supercar
I'm really excited to see how you this all works. I've been driving 3 months now, I want to get a full year of experience and then I want to venture out on my own, in my own truck! Really looking forward to the future videos! 😊
A year isn’t anywhere near enough experience. Buying that old V8 demonstrates this perfectly.
@JDR187 oh piss off, this whole industry is all about taking risks. If you don't try you'll never know if you'll make it. A year experience is enough, considering I've already had enough experience building and managing another company.
@@roanoconnor98 your profile picture says it all lad. 😂 if that helmet didn’t have a massive autist following do you think he’d be running his own? Haulage is a different game to whatever you’ve done. A year behind you isn’t enough to prepare for what’s to come. Trucker Dim and this boy that’s bought the shagged V8 won’t last long
@@roanoconnor98if you have about 30-40 grand in your backpocket and have the patience of a saint to deal with all the bullshit bureaucracy that comes with an O-licence in this mental ass country, and have someone you can employ as a second driver go on. Otherwise forget about it. And i havent even mentioned the work yet, as you cant just walk into a place, slap your paperwork down and ask for work as a self-employed driver like you can in eastern europe or america, since this whole country is built on credibility and contacts. If you dont know a guy who knows a guy, you'll struggle very hard to get work reliably, and then you'll find out that the rates most jobs pay that also trust newbie companies will barely cover your expenses. I have heard some horror stories regarding this and the people who were successful with this business all had money in the bank and a backup plan. Because when shit hits the fan, the sheer amount of money involved will take your car, your house and everything you own including your pants. So jumping into this clueless is a great way to ruin your life with dept for years
Brave move dude. Your a very likeable guy and that will serve you well when trying to get REPEAT business.
Good luck mate :)
Super car? 😂
Good video and have a nice one mate
you can do it man! keep pushing and don't stop!
