I have no idea why this popped up in my recommendations. I have zero interest in trucks - but I gotta say that you reeled me right in. Above all, it's great to see a video made by someone who comes across as such a genuine, lovely bloke. Subbed. All the best.
Man honestly this it’s the best comment I have seen since I start this channel, thank you for supporting me.
It randomly popped up on mine around a week ago i can't stop watching now
Good luck with your business venture
I watched you once and I’ve been hooked since …
Half these jobs you can do yourself. My first year of running an old commercial vehicle cost me 25k in parts and labour. I have taught myself to do all the servicing. All it’s cost me the last year was oil, filters, coolant and a clutch. Had the clutch done at a workshop and at the same time they checked all the steering. £400 was my outsourced labour bill last year.
You can do it yourself!
maybe he hasnt acquired the right tools yet, or the bay to do the draining correctly, give the guy a break, he's new to owner driving, I bet you didnt start out perfectly straight away! and if you say you did then you're telling prokies me old fruit.
@@eternalmastery
If you read my post you’ll see what it cost me, me old fruit. Only need a socket set to change the oils. What it’s cost him in labour in this vid he could kit himself out with tools, a torque wrench, jack and axle stands, and a pair of overalls. Plenty of RUclips videos on how to do stuff.
He’s bought a massive money pit there. Doesn’t need a V8 as a first wagon. An ex large fleet motor with a maintenance record would be better.
@@petittrainguernsey3297he bought a v8 because he said he wants to do a range of different things, even heavy haulage
@@abdulwadood.8
Which you build up to. Very difficult in the haulage industry to be Jack of all trades. You end up being master of none.
The motor is only the half of it with heavy haulage. All the certs required, HD axles & suspension required and that mid lift is no good if you need something with double drive. The wagon he’s got would be good for max weight motorway work. Steel rolls etc.
@@petittrainguernsey3297 know plenty of players that are the Jack of all trades, maxi construction, Malcolm logistics, etc
I live in Scotland and often see a lot of the big players about, many of the big boys try and ace all trades. It’s not easy for a newbie like this guy, but let him try, we’ll see what happens
As a starting trucker myself i love to see youre channel and learn from mistakes so we all get smarter
You have done the right thing there! Look after it and it will look after you.... personally i would leave the interior until she has been painted. No matter how much they cover, the dust etc from the booths gets in most areas from experience... Do the detail last and then she is ready for the big reveal and you can start hauling!
Probs getting a good hgv valeter on the interior imo, (take cab curtains out and do them yourself) they do such a good job if you use a recomended one, well done on the service for piece of mind to, get all tyres checked also, .lots still to do, operators license , paint, lettering, vat registration , accountant ,fuel cards, etc, and then get earning some revenue,.good luck "TRUCKING UK"
I love your videos if you can make them longer that will be even better 💪
I’m trying my best mate I just haven’t work that much time put I will make them longer
It's 07:30 and im watching this while supposed to be getting ready for work, I'm totally hooked haha
Happy for you mate. Wish you all the best. Can’t wait to see it completely done.
Learning a lot from your videos mate I love your energy and attitude keep it up
Biggest respect brov taken on V8 scanny and setting up your own company 👌Keep on Truckinggood 👍👍
This is quality content mate im rooting for you taking a risk, as the saying goes nothing ventured nothing gained.
Good luck pal! Keep on trucking! "Dónde pongo el ojo, pongo la bala"
Looking awesome can’t wait for the paint work 👍
Definitely done the right thing taking it to a decent workshop for service and check over, I'm still praying for you by the way :)
Where or who are you planning on getting work from ?
Buy an ex supermarket truck. Those guys repair and replace regardless of cost thus they make great second hand trucks.
Love your vlogs, you wanna get yourself some diomyx it's incredible cleaning products even got fabric cleaning it's brilliant stuff 👍🏻
Fantastic, been watching the channel for a while now, superb content. I do some agency work once a week so have loved all the episodes.
This new adventure with the V8 is brilliant, and makes you more unique. Good luck! Look forward to the next one! 👍👍💥💥
Renault T 480 Manufacture Used Approved are under 20k, Best Units we have ever ran on a Profit against Cost Basis, Good luck 👍
Hope to see you soon as I’ve worked next door to Morgan’s for 15 years, bought my own truck last year as it’s always something I’ve wanted to do since driving for 25years to be honest it’s the worst decision I’ve made in life
You came up as a recommended I have subscribed and have been watching from then 😉 looks like you brought a good truck it can be only better now onwards and upwards look forward to next video
Thought this was yours the other day when in there to get mine, good set of lads in there
So happy for you mate, seeing you buzzing is mega! Good luck and keep doing what you do 👍
Happy to watch the project going!! Really happy for you mate! 😎
As for the prices, i m working for IVECO trucks in Germany and here oil is more expensive, believe me on that 😂😂😂
Waiting for the respray video keep on trucking dude when i started driving a wish man told me drive hard dream BIG good luck
Another informative video about all that’s involved. Looking forward to see you working with the truck and earning. Good luck .. Love the Channel ..Thank you
Fab video! 👏👏😎
I bet there’s no feeling like owning your own v8. Good luck mate, hope you have some work lined up
So happy for you mate cant wait to see it all finished
Loving this channel. You're smashing it bud.
With such an old, worn out wagon it’s gonna be constant issues like that hose over the engine. Jiggly little faults that will stop you in your tracks. You cannot afford to let customers down. Keep the Scanny as a project. Use the money you are about to spend and hire a wagon to get earning. You need loads on your back to pay for all of this.
Looking forward to this project, can't wait to see the transformation. Good on you mate, have a good luck
I love all your videos but this one !!!! 😮💨😮💨
😎😎
In Costco you can get a Bissell spot clean pro-heat for £90 to clean the inside.
Best of luck with everything brother 🤛🏼Enjoying this content too of more kind of vlog style videos of your journey 👌
love it if they was longer vid but loving the scania vibes
I’ll make them longer
Congratulations on the V8 it's looking good mate slowly getting there slowly does it been following for some time and you're almost making me want to do my truck driving licence but it seems very expensive at the moment so just continue watching on RUclips😂 you should definitely do a link up with trucker Tim he love a scania V8....🤘🏾
Trucker Tim is a busy lad hopefully one day we can do a collaboration never know. You can get your license for free go to the gov.co.uk all the info it’s there
Really didn't no it was free ill have a look nice one bud and definitely would be a great video and am sure your paths will cross soon keep up the great videos maybe be on the road myself in the future.🤘🏾
@@truckingukI can’t see any information on a free licence, is this really a thing?
@@EnduroUKwww.gov.uk/guidance/find-a-skills-bootcamp
Free license. I think you’ve been smelling too much of that engine oil lol
4:26 😂🤟🏽
Love your videos btw bro! Keep trucking
You’re a good guy
Steamer to clean the interior . Good luck with ur dream
You can clean that with carpet cleaner. You wash that in it and let it dry. Then treat with a vacuum cleaner.
Love your content bruv, keep it coming
Great video - thank you 👍👍
Anytime
Fail to understand why people with no idea about trucks, trucking, or running a truck buisness go out and buy a v8. Unless your eunning heavy freight, say to scotland etc, you're just throwing profit and money in your pocket down the exhaust pipes. You'll get there almost as quick in a straight 6 450, and probably gaining 3 mpg at least. Not forgetting any major work on a v8 due to its fit in the chassis is very expensive. That air compressor sounds proper rattly, more than normal. Diff and gearbox oils were well overdue for a change. Coolant must be minus 35 on a spectrometer, or else you can get problems with block and head joints.
In about 90% of situations I've ever come up against, a V8 has been much more economical than any other I6 tractor.
@@torinshepherd97 current r 450 returns about 10 to 11 mpg. Most v8 models are returning about 7.5 that we seen come through main dealers. At 44 t a 500hp would give a reasonable balance of power and economy. With this guy being in an older spec v8, this will probably be more fuel hungry than the later models. Guess he will find out over time.
Keep up the good work
04:30 look at the wall 🤣
No hate here but You need to be careful especially owning your own o-licence, if you are making videos etc and earning an income from it you should be doing manual entries for these hours worked (you may well be already) just a heads up cause I know people who have had hefty fines
How do you get a fine for making videos?
@@Vandal-Vlogs it’s more about the dvsa classing it as working, I’ve got mates who do volunteering and they’ve had fines because they hadn’t declared that on their tacho
@@Vandal-Vlogshire and reward. have to account for all work, he’s earning from the videos so all time making them is work
I make money making porn movies in my truck. Following your logic, I should insertbmanual entries fir that too. Stop being ridiculous!
Anyone else notice their calendar in the workshop or just me?
Great vid 👍🏻
enjoying the content🙂
Big ideas ....
why are you changing the crank🤷🏻♂️
Love your video would like to have a bit less Music :)
Roger ! No music at all or just a bit longer?
@@truckinguk like I dont mind the Music in the background it fylles the void. but when u where trying to lett us hear the V8 scania the music was playing in the background disturbing the sound Only Things like that other then that keep it up!!
If you get it resprayed it be about 8-10k… heads up
Giving the age of this truck I'm surprised it wasn't so bad. What's on the clock? Around 600-700k miles ?
What a great video , good job hard to start your working your own truck. Your getting there. If your after any mats I've got a full set of brown leather floors mats for a r series v8 would fit yours , I had them in a r620 fitted a dream . Centre middle one , drivers side , passenger side and top fuse mat and mat for under radio .
MD me on instagram mate link on the video description
If I had my time again and I had to stick with trucks then I’d do my examiners test and become a driving instructor instead of a truck driver.
If you stick to driving then the chances of making a success of it are very slim, and you do succeed your mrs will probably never see you again as you be driving every hour you can.
But I still wish you the best 👍🏻
Thank you for the comment mate I’ll take your advice
@@truckinguk definitely worth looking into, and you get to keep a clean truck all day everyday with very low maintenance compared with if you put it to work on trailers.
I know trucking is all about being by yourself on the open road but this is real life now! And not only do you have to thinking what’s financial best but also for your physical & mental health.
Hey man just subscribed to your channel like a couple of days ago just thought I would throw out some ideas to help. I’ve been watching another RUclipsr called trucker Tim and he has some good people that he use for everything.
He’s got a good mechanic place called Lombardos his name is Shawn
He got a good guy that does his paint work for him called Darren not sure what his company name is
He’s also got a mobile detailer as well not sure what his name is or the company
Maybe try checking some of his videos out to help you with your truck he did pretty much the same thing as u brought his own truck and flipped it to the way he wanted it
Amo tu contenido, te deseo lo mejor!!!
Cuanto salio el camion?
Saludos😊
There’s your next 6 month’s profit gone already
Don’t think your going to get rich live in the real world
Cost you a fortune to drive that into London
Good job the channel is doing well because trucking is cut throat
good video but why arent you trying to help do some of the work lol
Nice truck, but I’ve got a question for you… isn’t going to affect your profit this engine? I mean it sounds great but let’s say a 450hp Daf or a 460 Volvo wouldn’t achieve lower consumption and cost of running?
Depends on the work, we run an R500 v8, and it’s consistently better than the lower powered merc when pulling heavy.
big question, driver: how much u expected to pay before u brought ur track to the garage?
Garage rates p/hour,=.£100+ probably way more, and parts for scania aren't cheap either , its an expensive job running trucks,.
I’ll make a video on all the cost 💲
While it was in, did they check adjust the valves. I always did that when picking up a new to me truck.
Never buy an old used truck, buy an ex-demo, relatively new truck for trouble free trucking. V8 makes no difference, there is no hill or road in Europe a Scania S450 will not climb
@trucking uk I’d like to buy a truck unit for myself but how to find a job ? Could you please explain me thank you
what was the cost for repairs? and you should have probably got a 18 plate truck that can alowe you to go into clean air zones in certain cities.
Are you a driver ?
@@truckingukclearly your no a good driver with the amount of times you get stuck in places with plenty of room to manoeuvre 😂😂😂😂
@@andym2679correct, hes a total clown. Glad he’s wasting his money on a truck thats been thrashed about
@@andym2679 i bet you've never driven anything bigger than a shopping trolley pal.
@@eternalmastery oh good one however can i comeback from such savagery what a response probably up there with i know i am but what are you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Did you fix coolant leak?
Yes mate all sort it ✌🏽
Total cost of service then?
Don’t start with the BS clickbait titles. Where was the cost reveal?
mate i have been watching your vids i want to become a hgv driver but im 5 years off but any suggestions on what to look out for in a company for when i do look for one
He’s only been driving 1 year
IN FUTURE U MIGHT NEED TO STRAIGHT PIPE IT
❤
g101 form Auto Smat
Hes seen trucker dim and trying to get a piece of it ..hes an awful class one driver .so now wants to be a RUclips sensation 😂😂
Are you actually going to do a coat breakdown or just click baiting videos?
Your going to lose thousands of pounds pal.
Buying an old shed.like that
So you bought a bag of scrap paid over the odds for a v8 when you could have probably got a good deal on a newer more reliable truck that does the same job as a v8 all i can say is thank god for your clickbait skills because you are lacking in the business mentality side of things 😂😂😂😂
It's a dirty truck
Nice one🫵
Great to see it all happening. Your doing really well😁
SHALOM 🩸
Thought this was yours the other day when in there to get mine, good set of lads in there
I loved the part where you explained how much the cost is so far and how it will blow my mind.
Can you say what camera you are using ? I am a trucker myself but I want to start doing travelling vlog when off work.
Top video . What colours you painting the cab ?
So excited for you. Wish I had your energy.😅
Good luck 🙏👍
