    I'm glad the olympic weightlifter won especially considering the depth of his squats.

      Blacksplayer The standard of movement between the two is night and day. But it’s hardly a fair comparison. The guy is an Olympics caliber weightlifter. He won without even working that hard. He was probably just trying not to hurt himself.

      You understand powerlifting isn't in the olympics?
      Let's assume they were both competing at the top of their sport, you could still make the case you did above. Just because one competes in the olympics does not make him better trained.

    Powerlifter - shallow squats, some not even close to parallel
    Powerlifter - didn't lock out on a single push press
    Powerlifter - collapsed on the ground at the end of the contest
    Oly lifter - did clean pulls aka olympic "deadlifts" aka way harder than deadlifts
    Oly lifter still CRUSHED powerlifter and was literally the last man standing
    😂😂

    • @MakeAnException

      Danni Brower what do you mean with clean oly pulls? He's doing regular conventional from what I can see

    • @MrShenanigans28
      @MrShenanigans28 6 лет назад +4

      MakeAnException he means with the double over hand grip, which when using straps makes no difference. Had he not been using straps, double over hand is a greater show of grip strength then the standard "staggered" grip the power lifter was using.

    • @Hopeswilldie
      @Hopeswilldie 6 лет назад +6

      Parker Dunne no, clean pull is actually about the starting position, you use legs much less and instead all the power comes from the back - its a standart exercise to train for oly lifts

      +SWAGLIFT thanks for the quick responses to my comments. I'm going to subscribe because you guys in the Czech Republic put on some nice strength Wars competitions. I would like to see some with a little less weight though some people that are average size like myself. I only weigh about 75 kilos. so if you put some smaller competitors that are still clearly in great shape it would be fun for people to watch. Make their reps very high in count and see who has the most endurance. obviously it's not as fun to watch as it is to watch these guys left a large amount of weight but I still think it would be something that a lot of people like myself would love to see

    Olympic weightlifter: Calm, reserved, never underestimating his opponent.
    Powerlifter: Typical powerlifter. You could just close your eyes and hear him talk, and you can tell he's a powerlifter without seeing what he looks like.
    Maybe if the powerlifter didn't duck under with his leg for every push press, he would've had more strength for deadlifts.

    Both strong, but the olympic lifter is by far superior to the powerlifter. Powerlifter barely got to parallel on squat, id give him a couple of reps on a good day. On the shoulder press, the powerlifter used so much more momentum and didn't lock any of them out, zero reps. When it came to deadlift, your supposed to hold onto the bar on the way down too for it to count as a rep, the powerlifter didn't do it once, zero reps. Olympic lifter is the best lifter. no questions asked.

    Overall awesome battle, I really like these different challenges in comparison to strength wars.
    Overall I think it was quite fair, I do believe the Oly lifter had an advantage in the exercises, cuz push press and squats are his bread and butter, but I guess both athletes agreed on atleast two of the lifts, so yeah..
    Then again the Powerlifter had some luck with his form on some reps.
    Also quite fair because of knee wraps on the powerlifter and straps on the oly lifter.

    The Powerlifter didn´t squat below parralel and instead of a push press he did jerks, but he didn´t stand up after each rep, so that´s "no reps". • @SWAGLIFT
      @SWAGLIFT  8 лет назад

      To určitě jo, ale ono by pak nebylo nic rozumět z fightu :)

    • @w0lfik
      @w0lfik 8 лет назад

      Jo, jo, nad tím jsem taky přemýšlel, muselo by se to vychytat, ale tak tomu by přidalo na lukrativnosti moci umožnit pár lidem zúčastnit se takové akce 20 - 50 lidí formou soutěže nebo zakoupením lístku, těžko odhadnout zájem o takovou možnost =) Je to jen nápad a první věc, která mě napadla jako první když jsem viděl tohle video, že by borci zasloužili větší "hype" =)

    • @SWAGLIFT
      @SWAGLIFT  8 лет назад

      w0lfik
      Ono víc lidí = větší problémy na place, dát 20 lidí do kupy aby dělali co mají je problém, dát 50 lidí to už si neumím představit, navíc, zakoupení lístku atd. to ztrácí pak smysl dělat to video, protože by se jisto jistě dostal ven výsledek fightu před samotným videem a to si nemůžeme dovolit, to by pak natáčení ztrácelo smysl víš jak. Ale vím jak to myslíš, přemýšlím dělat fighty čas od času jako exhibici live ;) (y) součástí nějakých fitness exp apod. ale to je zatím hudba budoucnosti.
      navíc největší problémy co máme, nemáme vlastní prostory a většinou jde o místa kam se prostě víc lidí nevejde, takže to nás taky limituje. Díky moc za feedback (y)

    That weightlifter looked so nice on all the lifts, the power lifter needs a lot of work on his tech cause he wasn't up to par. If the weightlifter decided to push jerk instead of push press then he would of won that too as the other chap was getting away with it...
    Anyway both guys were amazing much better than me :)

    Zajímavý souboj. Vzpírání je hrozná rasovina, ti chlapi jsou nelidsky silní, ale brzy se podle mne oddělají. Powerlifting není taky pro másla, ale je tam ten bench a u toho se aspoň leží. Vzpírání je brutálnější. Mimochodem - ten Lukáš při mrtvém tahu činku na zem pouštěl z horní polohy, čímž si usnadňoval práci. Taky si brutálně nechal dopadat u tlaků ve stoje činku na záda, slušný rázy na páteř. No, a na konec volat v 10:28 "ještě 10" na chlapy, kteří po deseti mají dost, je úsměvný ;).

    12x 250Kg na dřep během 2 min masakr . . . . mimochodem nádherná technika (y) myslím že by přiště neuškodila trocha standartů na jednotlivé pohyby . .třeba jako dnes jeden dělá front rack druhy back při push pressech . .nebo sumo vs klasická mrtvola

    Cool .... In such a match I've been waiting for .... And the result was as I guessed it - because this is a typical weightlifting - and the superiority of the weightlifter are the strong and well conditioned legs, he may use dynamic and technically perfect ... the mud was also designed fair, as would in bench press the weight lifter look bad .... While the overhead press chances are disabled - the powerlifters can as use his strength and weightlifting its dynamics - what the chances are very compensates .... on deadlift weightlifters are not specialized - but, still very strong, because they can powerfully draw much from the ground must and as high as possible ..... also there is similar to the force forth the weightlifter to powerlifters much the same ..... Because this really strong powerlifters also participates in Strongman tournaments - but by the power condition significantly stronger than usually powerlifters are it is ..... So I was then not sure if the weightlifting there still can prevail against such a diverse strong monsters .... It was really exciting and a really successful great show .... I'm really excited that you have so brought a Cool show with such great athletes ... Congratulations to both athletes and swaglift to ....
