    It's incredible how this guy was the best QB in the 2nd half of the 23-24 NFL season. I always supported this Packers development project and I'm very proud of this kid.

      @WIRE PALADIN I just hope the Packers have something up their sleeve. Jordan Love was definitely a long term pick, but hopefully it also lights a fire under Rodger's ass. Rodgers plays best with a chip on his shoulder, and he could mentor Love along the way. Rodger's definitely benefited from watching Favre from the sidelines.

Good corners from pick those passes or deflect them no problem. NFL defensive backs would catch those like punt returns. He’s got a lot of raw talent. Can be very good if he studied behind a Drew Brees, Heck even Aaron Rodgers who isn’t getting any younger.

    17 INTs in 2019... ugh... 🤕

    • @broq9194
      @broq9194 4 года назад +13

      Agreed. I played college and a little pro and I can safely sat that college DBs do not know what they're doing, so if you're throwing 17 picks in college then you're just giving the ball away. I told everybody the same thing about Jameis Winston. He threw a great ball BUT HE HAD TOO MANY PICKS IN COLLEGE, and therefore I wouldn't have drafted him. You need to have something close to a 3:1 TD to Int ratio or I'm not even looking at you. Personally I don't even want to see a QB with double digit Ints in my backfield. Burrow and Tua look good this year. Numbers look great, they won a lot, played on big stages, had great accuracy, highly mobile, and best of all -THEY THREW VERY FEW PICKS. The most important stat for a QB in my opinion is the # of picks, because it doesn't matter how many yards and TDs a QB has IF HE'S PLAYING FOR THE OTHER TEAM!!!

    • @miscellanyman263
      @miscellanyman263 4 года назад +2

      @@broq9194 Great insights! TD:INT ratio speaks volumes about a Quarterback's decisionmaking. That's one of the reasons I deemed MM8 (Marcus Mariota) "Baby Brady" during his Freshman season at Oregon because his TD:INT ratio was 32:6 (5.3:1), ths same as Tom Brady, more or less for Year 2012. Sadly, the greater majority of QBs in the NFL barely break away from 2:1 lol I have never been a Jameis Winston fan because of his heave-ho approach to throwing the ball downfield, not all that different from guys like Derek Carr. Tom Brady, I swear, is going to play until age 50, as long as he remains healthy. Not sure that Brady will be a good fit for Bruce Arians' offense, given Arians' mantra: "No risk it, No biscuit!" But Brady is still a lot better than Carson Palmer, huh? 😎

    • @broq9194
      @broq9194 4 года назад +3

      @@miscellanyman263 hey great comments.
      Brady is quality, but I really studied the Patriot offense and realized their success - They make the QB's job as "physically" easy as possible. The pre snap reads might be highly complicated, but the post snap decision making and difficulty of throw is the simplest and easiest in the NFL. Basically, the Patriots take no chances - Rarely ever challenge the best DB on the field with long time+consuming throws to the wideout even when he's wide open, instead throwing quick 7 - 12 yard passes to cutting and slashing slot receivers and running backs being guarded by line backers, safeties, and nickel corners who are lesser pass defenders and who have almost no time to break on the ball because if the quick short throw, almost like a long hand off. The unique quality of the Patriots is that they don't throw to receivers. Their slot receivers are built and utilized like small running backs with poor straight ahead speed but great lateral speed who can take a hit and are expected to get 4 - 7 yards after the catch. They only "regularly" throw to an actual receiver if he has a distinct physical advantage such as size or speed (Randy Moss, Rob Grownkowski, etc.). They generally only throw to a receiver if it's a mismatch, and they usually use wide receivers as deep threat decoys to open up the field. I examined several QBs and judged the degree of difficulty if each throw and Brady had the easiest throws (by far) and Cam Newton had the most difficult, often being provided with no dump off receiver at all, with receivers who got very little separation, often giving him no other passing option than a highly difficult throw. Arians loves to push the ball downfield, which Brady has never down in his entire career. It's possible that Arians could give Brady a similar offensive that he had in New England, but Tampa personnel isn't built for that. My prediction is that Brady puts up good numbers with Tampa but will throw more ints while trying to push the ball downfield like a "regular" QB, or Mike Evans will have fewer catches if Brady runs a Patriot style offense in Tampa. Either way, Brady is going to look a lot more like a "regular" QB and a lot less like the GOAT that peoe think he is. And Belichek isn't afraid of getting another QB because he knows all of this already.

    • @miscellanyman263
      @miscellanyman263 4 года назад

      @@broq9194 Amazing insights. You're right about TB12, he's a "system" QB in every sense unlike, say, m'boy MM8 (Mariota) who's had a slew of OCs (4? -- I've lost count!) in his short 5-year career. No way Mike Evans can be a slot-receiver like Edelman and Welker, so Evans' stats might take a hit with TB12 under center. Cam Newton had his "Linus blanket" (trusted commodity) in TE Greg Olsen, inasmuch the same way that TB12 had Gronk for red zone play. It will be fun to see how Arians/T-Bucs will utilize TB12, but you are right, I think we are going to see TB12 throw a lot more INTS lol

    This is the riskiest pick of the draft, however I lean towards him being a good choice. He could benefit in a west coast style offense, which emphasizes the deep ball. He’s got a lot of courage to be willing to throw as many 50/50 balls as he does which accounts for why he has so many interceptions. He reminds me a lot of Case Keenum except more athletic. I think he could be a very solid QB with franchise, but not pro bowl potential. I see him going in the second or third round to a team that can take advantage of a gunslinger that needs help reading defenses.

    He's got a good natural release, a strong arm and he's very Athletic but most importantly he's got touch which is something that cant be taught. The only drawback I see in his highlights is just about all these throws are one read throws and a lot of stuff downfield. I dont see him looking down his receivers and not really going through progressions. I would like to see him under pressure more and his reactions. He does seem to have good pocket awareness. From what I understand He started at QB just one year in High School and redshirted his first year at Utah State. So at 21 He's been a starter for a year and a half now. Competition wise he's faced C level defenses and that's just being honest. That doesn't mean he wouldn't light them up but playing against a Alabama, Ohio State or a Clemson type defense would certainly shows a little more of how he would handle more pressure situations. I think he has a lot of upside moving forward meaning I think his best Football is still to come. I actually like him better than Tua at the next level but that's just me. I honestly think where he gets drafted will be how well he performs at the NFL Combine. He's the type of player that might turn a lot of scouts head when they see him throw in person. I would say possible 1st round no later than a 2nd but I think whoever drafts him he will be there starter by his 2nd year in the league.

      It's called ball placement, bruh. If the reciever had even slight separation, he hit his guy in stride on nearly every pass in this video. Everything else was just simply putting the ball where it needed to be.

      He throws off his back foot. If he learns to step into his throws I think he could be pretty good.

    He has an arm. For the pros to be more interested, he should take off running once in a while, especially because defenses never worry about him running. Also there are situations where a QB sneak is desperately needed, but it somehow is never called for him. In this upcoming bowl game he should address both issues if he wants to generate interest.

    Jordan Love is a pretty good QB. Small school aside he has a big arm and good deep ball accuracy. Now can he thread the needle 15 yards out on a 3 step drop? That’s something we’ll be observing during the combine. Those are crucial throws in the NFL because the lack of time coming from elite D-Linemen. Can’t wait to see how he pans out. Honestly because of his arm strength he’ll go in the first round, but truthfully I see him as a early 2nd rounder.
