When you reorder the depth chart to put the new player in from the steal, it reorders every position even if it's unaffected by the steal. It happened to me a few times with lower rated QBs starting (ex. Mike White -> Zach Wilson). That's what happened at 3:40 with Tyreek Hill being the kick returner, because even though Miami doesn't use him in real life he has the best kick return stats on the Dolphins ergo Madden put him at kick return duty

Secondly I have a few ideas, mainly for the imperialism. 1.When a team that controls multiple territories loses, maybe you could do a coin flip or rng to see if either: A: a formerly conquered team re-emerges to claim their lost territory and reclaims their “champion” they lost Or B:The Losing team just forfeits one of their conquered territories Or C:The winner takes all Just don’t erase the borders and simply shrink, then drag all the lost teams logos into the corner of the lost territory. This would take a lot longer but I feel it could spice shit up and keep people engaged, I know I tend to lose a little interest when my team dies sadly. My other idea is that you should do a Sparta-esque NFL season where when a player is injured they just get removed from the team/game, similar to how the Spartans toss out anyone imperfect. It would be really interesting to see how the season turns out and who all off the street has surprise seasons.
New rule for nfl imperialism it’s called redemption island, this is how it works, when two teams lose a game they go to Hawaii ( so put Hawaii on the map )and then put the two teams that lost their games against each other and then who ever wins gets to claim an untoken state but once they get there new state that’s the last chance they get but if they lose the redemption island there out of the game.
