I don't know if you have watched it yet, but please watch it somewhere bright and not on a big screen. The warning is great, but there is A LOT of flashing. Every cut has some kind of a flash. I'm just photosensitive and it was difficult to watch. I know it's part of Anthony's aesthetic, but I wish he would tone down the glitch effect every other clip.

It's kinda like the the glitch effect inbetween stuff he ussally has but allot. Most at the beginning. Everytime a photo or video pops up about somthing he talks about it glitches

Proud of literally everyone involved? For a project with lots of sexual tones this was a really wholesome watch and it was nice to see Anthony’s perseverance and a thorough glimpse at how hard each maid works each show! Not only because it is entertaining but because in times of this on-going crisis, where a lot of our screen time is devoted to vilifying the other, polarization, and a continual battle to prove the other side wrong, this documentary sends the message of what, in the end, is truly essential; compassion. Although from a very different perspective and experience, it reminds me of Ubuntu: I am because you are, and the importance to embrace our differences as it enriches our own humanity. It was so great to see Anthony behind the scenes and truly see his anxiety and stress about this. On stage/video he seems so confident. It was such a great example to see behind the scenes. It's one thing to hear about anxiety, but it hits home when we can see his anxiety. Makes us feel like he really is like us.

Dude, I remember when I was 7 and my father told me how pathetic paying for women was in any sense. I believed it was pathetic to pay for sex and it was something only men that were absolute garbage did. When I heard in Japan that men paid for talking services I thought them to be the most pathetic thing on Earth. As I grew older and started dating a little, I would become committed to a relationship. I did my best to make any girl I dated happy and share what made me happy with her/them. I am not sure if it was me or the girl but they kept breaking up with me only to find out they always had a guy they were seeing behind my back. I felt miserable and came across the Day with a Cafe Maid video. The video sparked something inside me and I couldn’t explain it. I felt so bad for thinking so ill of those men now. I now understand what that means a little more. Sometimes you just feel so alone that you would do anything for someone to just listen or talk to you. I don’t know what it is, but not even family helps heal this loneliness. It’s the feeling of not being wanted by other people in the world even though your family has relentless love and appreciation for you. Perhaps it is true that only my family will love me and I feel fortunate to have a loving family. But I sit alone in college sometimes eating, playing video games, laughing, and enjoying even the smallest pieces of joy from a good grade and i still wish I had someone to share those moments with. My pain is meaningless compared to what other people struggle through, but I guess I just want to scream to the world that I feel alone. I could never tell my parents, they’d chastise me for not appreciating the love of my family, and any club or group I’ve ever been in I always feel like I don’t belong. Perhaps it’s a weird thing to draw from these videos, but these maids, talking, and listening people will (at times without knowing it) provide such a kind service for those that truly feel alone. I have never paid for a maid or person to listen to me (I’m a broke college student), but it feels like it would be such a nice feeling to sit with someone to talk with, even if it is their job. Those people I thought of as scum in my youth I now realize were just alone and seeking some sense of companionship in the world. I’m sorry to waste your time with my meaningless comment, but I just wanted to say it for once.

I was there at this event and I can’t begin to explain the atmosphere. Everyone was hyping the girls up, uplifting them, smiling, there was never a moment of judgement, and everyone had an amazing time. It was nothing like I’ve ever experienced. I’ve felt an immense amount of insecurity in my life, but being there and seeing how CONFIDENT these girls are and how Anthony embraced being a maid, it helped me open my eyes and not focus on the little things about myself.
This documentary was beautifully but together, I’m so proud of you and the maids, and the whole crew who put it all together. Thank you for ending 2020 on a high note :’)

Definitely worth the wait. I loved seeing so many women there, I hope they'll show up at the regular events as well, when they can safely start again in the future. All the girls seem like such genuine amazing women. The atmosphere reminds me of some of the cons I go to. I love how accepting everyone is. Loved the drawn end title too. I hope the girl who's living paycheck by paycheck is doing okay during these times. I might have to drag my husband to one of these someday.
I am straight guy who grew up with a very conservative understanding of masculinity and I just wanna say this is so liberating to see and I hope to meet more ppl willing to break down these social walls and allow for this level of self expression to be completely normal and appreciated as an act of freedom and art
